"come in!"

Zach walked in, "Hey.." he sighed,

"Hey."

"What's been going on with you lately? Like this past week you've been so down," he asked, genuine concern clear in his voice, "Come on, you can tell me."

"I don't know, Zach."

he gave her a look saying 'i know that's not true.'

"It's Scott.." She mumbled softly - loud enough for him to hear,

"Yeah, what's been going on with you guys?" he questioned,

"how do you know if you love someone?"

Rae opened her locker, once again, for the sixth time - just like last week, a note attached to a gift, last Monday, a teddy bear,
Tuesday, a brand new copy of Pride and Prejudice, Rae's favorite book,
Wednesday, a necklace
Thursday, a bouquet of flowers
Friday, a dvd of Call Me by Your Name, their favorite movie to watch together,

and today,
a box of chocolates, the note saying,

i'll wait a lifetime if it means i'll have you in the end.

She felt the tips of her lips curling into a small smile, the cheesiness was adorable to her.

"Scott doesn't look too good today." Sheri whispered,

Rae shrugged, "I've been over this, Sheri,"

She sighed, "But Rae, I've seen the way you look at each other."

"He's rude to my friends." She continued copying the notes off of the board,

Sheri rested a hand on her friends shoulder, "He's rude to everyone."

Rae bit the tip of her pen, trying to solve the equation written on the paper in front of her, hearing a knock on her window, she jumped slightly, looking over to see Scott, he smiled sheepishly, making Rae use all of her willpower to not smile, she walked over, unhinging the locks on the window, sliding it open, giving him access to step in, "hey.." he waved before resting the hand in his pocket,
"Hi." Rae avoided eye contact,

"Can we talk? These past three weeks we've just been exchanging looks.." he rubbed the back of his neck,
"I haven't been able to sleep these past few weeks— I can't stop thinking about you and what ive done, And I can't stop thinking about what i can do to make it right, I really like you, Rae. I mean I really do, you, are just so perfect. Rae, please just give me another chance. Whatever it takes. I'll never lay a hand on Alex.. or Clay.. even though I never had anything to do with that— god— sorry. please just.. I—I—I think I'm in love with you," His eyes met hers as he stuttered the last few words, she rose, walking over to him, holding his face in her hands, examining his facial features before kissing him, smiling into the kiss, he asked, "Can I take you on a date?"

"What do you have in mind?"

"We could go to Rosie's or the cresmont? or we could just go to my place and watch a movie? I—I don't know.."

"Your place sounds kinda nice, i haven't been in the mood to go out recently,"

"I'll be here tomorrow at eight to get you?"

"Scott's been looking for you." Alex spoke as Rae sat down,

"oh," she swallowed, "what did he want?"

He shrugged, "I don't know."

she glanced back at Scott's table to see he'd already looking at her, He pulled out his phone, Rae's phone chimed shortly after, 'meet at your locker'

She smiled softly, putting her phone in her pocket,

"Perhaps you'd like to share where your going?" Zach questions,

"Secret." she winked at him before walking away

walk out of the cafeteria and through the doors - into the hall, she made her way to her locker.

Scott had been there, leaning on it. "Hello beautiful."

"Hi," He rested his hands on her waist. hers laid on his neck. leaning in, their lips met each other. "We still on for tonight?"

Rae nodded. "Yeah, of course."

"Look who's back." Zach said sarcastically,

"I went to the bathroom."

Zach scoffed. "That was a long ass bathroom break."

"I had to fix my makeup."

"We know you were with Scott." Jessica spoke in a sing-song voice.

"Uh, no, you don't cause I wasn't with him."
