Last night I woke up around 2:30, and after I fell back asleep I had this ridiculously long dream. First of all, my brother and I were walking, and we started being stalked by some guy. (I dreamed this because there has been an unexplained string of stalkings in my neighborhood.) There was no one around except one man in his garage, who was just closing the door. My brother and I ran and ducked under the door as it was closing, and told the man that a guy was stalking us. He said we could hide at his house. Instead of sensibly calling the police, we hid behind the counters in his kitchen. Then there was a knock on the window. I thought it was the guy chasing us, but actually it was neighbors bringing us food. First it was two men with some groceries. Then a lady came by with a cloth bag like you take grocery shopping, and it was filled to the brim with dried beans, but she tipped the bag over and the beans went everywhere. I was impressed that these people were bringing us so much food, but the man said they always did this, and it was a normal part of the community. Only, I also lived in this neighborhood and it had never happened to me.

So we somehow ended up living with this guy, and years passed. You know how in dreams you somehow know how much time has gone by. The man's behavior got increasingly more bizarre. Every day he went to work for this old lady, and he came back looking like she beat him. And in the middle of the night he would go outside and roll in gravel. I also found a book, and everything that happened in the book had been happening in real life. My brother and I decided it was time to leave and go back home.

We lived in this really huge, old house that we operated as a restaurant on the bottom floors. It had all these trapdoors that would suddenly open and drop you to a different room. I was telling my mom how when we first went to live with that man, neighbors brought us food, and he acted like it was normal even though no one had ever brought us food. My mom said, "That's because i didn't go to the neighborhood block party." And went on to explain that our whole family was outcast in the neighborhood because she skipped the party.

Then the dream changed, and we were living in a different house but it was still huge. Outside of our house was a second building that we also owned, and we called it the outbuilding. The first floor was a garage, the second floor was one huge room, and the third floor was an attic. I was in the main house, and was babysitting a little girl who isn't even one of the kids I babysit in real life. She had brought a ton of dolls and was making me lug them around, which happened because in real life I babysit a girl who brings dolls everywhere and I always end up carrying them. Things got beyond weird at this point. Four of her dolls had some kind of disease, and she had to quarantine them. They were basically like tiny humans, and could all walk and move. This wasn't as creepy to me as it should have been, but I didn't like them. They were weird.

Then, while the little girl was still with me, suddenly the house was on fire. It had started in the outbuilding and jumped into the main house. Instead of actually leaving the house, we evacuated to the basement. It took forever because we were moving all the belongings we wanted to save. A lot of what I owned was in the outbuilding, and I actually went into it while it was burning to rescue it.

The fire burned for 48 hours before it was "contained," like it was some wildfire, and we had to stay in the basement. During this time, I was on Wattpad complaining about what an inconvenience this fire was. Then, the next morning, I woke up, and the fire was put out. The rest of the family was heading out to survey the damage and I hurried to join them.

The 3-story outbuilding was a total loss. It was charred and full of ash. There were a bunch of men repairing it, and they had all parked their cars in the attic. Yes, the attic of a burned-out structure on the verge of collapsing. In the main house, only the living room had burned. It wasn't a total loss. All the windows had shattered from the heat, but the fire hadn't burned anything that was made of wood. All the couches and stuff were gone, but we still had a TV stand, with the TV conveniently still there, and a bookshelf.

Then the dream kind of changed in that the house had completely burned, so we went to Savannah in this camper we somehow had. We only made it to Montgomery before my mom had to go to the bathroom, so we stopped at a CVS. We waited out in the parking lot, and my dad was talking to somebody about how this camper was all we had. And at that point, a noise in the kitchen in real life woke me up.
