After a few days time, Serena was pretty much her old self again. The Alolan gang had all had to go back to the Pokémon school, but they were all well, including Lillie. Lusamine and Gladion had also left safely, though they seemed to just fade away.

Serena had become good friends with Poipole, who was always happier when she was around. Poipole had appointed itself Serena's 'caretaker' and was often seen trying to cheer Serena up when she was sad. It was actually pretty good at it. Nobody could be upset for long when Poipole made it their mission to make them happy.

The only problem was that Greninja was still needing to be taken care of.

He was no longer having emergency treatment, but Greninja was still in a very bad condition. "He'll be alright soon if he responds well to treatment," Nurse Joy had said when they last asked about him. "But it'll take quite a while. We can't be sure how long it'll take. We can only hope that he'll respond well. I'm really sorry, there's not much else I can do."

So they had to wait for Greninja to be completely healed before they could go anywhere. Ash ended up returning his other Pokémon to Professor Oak, aside from Pikachu and Poipole, the latter of which due to it being a great help to Serena. He even decided to let Serena keep Poipole as her own partner, something the little Ultra Beast was more than happy with.

One day, Bonnie was cleaning all the Pokémon, humming to herself as she worked. "Clemont, that's the last of your Pokémon done!" She smiled. "Thanks, Bonnie!" Clemont replied, watching his five Pokémon, who now were all brushed and shiny.

Bonnie then looked to Serena. "Serena, can I take care of your Pokémon? Pretty pretty please?"

"Sure!" Serena chuckled, tossing out her other four Pokémon since Poipole was already out. The five of them happily hurried over to Bonnie, all getting in a line. "Braixen, you first!" Bonnie smiled, welcoming the well-behaved Fire type to sit beside her.

A knock at the door caused Serena to stand up. "That's probably Max and May back from the park," she said. "May must've forgotten the room key... again..."

But when she opened the door, instead of Max rushing in to tell Bonnie all about it and May collapsing into bed with complaints that she was too tired to do anything anymore, someone pushed past Serena, knocking her over.

They started charging for Bonnie and grabbed her, but before they could escape with the now screaming child, Braixen used Flamethrower at the kidnapper. Bonnie was thrown across the room and hit a wall, but Clemont quickly grabbed her from her new spot on the floor and pushed her behind him.

Seeing they were beaten, the kidnapper scowled. "You know the price for their freedom, Clemont!" They hissed, causing all eyes to move from them to an enraged Clemont. "I did everything you asked! After that, I'll protect Bonnie myself! No more blackmail! I'm done!"

The kidnapper narrowed their eyes and ran away. Serena tried to chase after them, but they seemed to have disappeared. She was forced to return empty handed.

Everyone looked to Clemont, but he was too busy taking care of Bonnie, who didn't look so good. "She's unconscious, but I think she'll be fine," Clemont said, lowering his head. "I should've protected her. This is all my fault."

Just then Max and May returned, both in good spirits, but they paused when they saw everyone else. "What's going on?" May asked worriedly.

"I'll explain later," Clemont shook his head. "But for now, none of us are safe. We need to get out of here. Somewhere where we won't be found. Even if it's just out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, we need a place without a ton of people. Anyone have any ideas?"

Everyone looked at one another, unsure of a place like that. They all preferred to be around their friends that they never had anywhere they knew they could be alone in. It was mostly just going to wherever was quiet at the time. They'd never really had to plan ahead of time for it.

"Poi! Poi! Poi!!!"

Everyone looked to Poipole, who clearly had an idea. All the other Pokémon looked excited at what it was saying, especially Serena's Sylveon and Clemont's Chespin. All the Trainers watched them, confused but wanting to go wherever Poipole had suggested.

"Poipole, you know a safe place we can go?" Clemont clarified hopefully. "Poi Poi!" Poipole nodded. "Okay, then!" Clemont nodded, then tossed out a sixth Pokéball, much to everyone's surprise.

An Abra appeared.

"You have an Abra?! Why didn't you tell us?" Ash asked, shocked as he looked at the floating yellow Pokémon. "Again, I'll explain later," Clemont sighed. "Let's just get to wherever Poipole's safe place is. Poipole, just tell Abra where it is."

Poipole nodded and floated over to Abra while Clemont picked up Bonnie in his arms. "Poi Poi Poi! Poi! Poi Poi!" Poipole was saying. Abra nodded slightly.

"Will you be able to take us all there, Abra?" Clemont asked. Abra nodded again. "Great! Then everyone return your Pokémon! We'll need to lighten the load for Abra!"

Everyone returned their Pokémon aside from Pikachu, Squishy and Dedenne, who were all held onto. Even Poipole was sent back by Serena. Then everyone gathered around Abra.

"Okay, Abra, use Teleport!" Clemont said. Abra caused a flash to envelop them all, then they were gone.

???'s POV:

I'm finally done gathering more berries! I put them away in my home, then check on everything in my secret storage area. Yup, everything looks good. Nothing important broken or lost, thank Arceus.

I head back outside and decide to have some fun. I start hopping about, leaping and rolling and spinning and flipping. My little dance is one I do often, I always enjoy it.

I continue for a while, then just when I think all is quiet around here, I'm pulled into the air by a purple blob, causing me to yelp as it squeezes me tightly and we float further and further away from the ground.
