Ezra hadn't been able to sleep lately and Kanan has noticed this so he thought of something that might explain or help why this is happening.

Kanan got Ezra for Jedi training and they made their way outside the Ghost. They walked for a few minutes to find a peaceful place in the dry plains to begin the lessons. Kanan stopped and turned around to his padawan who ran into him. He stepped away from the adult and glared at him for his embarrassment.
"Today we will be meditating. Your going to try again and I'll join you." Kanan said to Ezra who was not happy for this lesson. He thought about all the other things he could be doing. 'Pranking, hitting on Sabine, chasing Chopper,' Kanan instructed Ezra to sit down and follow what he does.

"I want you to feel the force follow with you, Ezra. Open up yourself to the force." Kanan told his padawan. Ezra nodded and tried to do as he was told.
Ten minutes passed and Kanan still didn't feel Ezra in the force. He pulled himself out of his meditation and looked over to his crew member. He was slouched over and light snoring could be heard. Kanan sighed, 'At least he's getting sleep' he thought. He got up and went to pick up Ezra. He stood up and got in front of Ezra. He put his hands under his arms and picked him up into his arms. Ezra snuggled into the crock of Kanan's neck and got comfortable in his master's arms. Kanan smiled at the actions of Ezra getting more comfortable and trustworthy with The crew and then maybe he can tell them more about his past.

Kanan walked back to Ghost after he commed Hera to wait outside for them. He started nearing the Ghost and saw Hera waiting for them. He walked up to her and she looked at him confused. He whispered "He's sleeping. He fell asleep at practice." "At least he's sleeping. You and I both know he hasn't been sleeping well." Ezra snuggled deeper into Kanan's neck and snuggled closer to the warm body. Kanan and Hera chuckled and smiled at the kid. "Good night mum and dad" Ezra whispered but loud enough for the two to hear. They had shocked faces but they soon turned into smiles. "Good night son" They said in unison.
They carried the sleeping child to his room and tucked him into bed. They walked out and smiled at each other and walked away in opposite directions. They thought about what Ezra called them and realized it felt right to be called that. 'Mum' 'Dad'
