After a few more months filled with missions, The crew decided it was time for another vacation. They all wanted to go to the only springs on Lothal, Hot Water Springs. They were all happy with their decision, well all except a certain teenager. 'What if they see? What if they treat me differently?' All of these thoughts swimming in his head. They all made their way to their cabins to change and get towels. They were all ready on Lothal and the springs weren't that far so they wanted to walk.
Everyone was ready and waiting by the ramp in their bath suits when Ezra came out in his normal clothes.
"Ezra, what are you wearing?" Hera asked.
"Oh I don't want to go. You guys can go on without me I'll stay on the ship and watch Chopper." Ezra said. Kanan suddenly got waves of fear and worry, he wanted to know what was wrong but before he could even react,
"Oh no your coming with us." Zeb said and went to grab Ezra. He saw this and went to run but was to slow and was grabbed. "Ok let's go. Chopper watch the Ghost till we get back." Hera said while walking away with Kanan, Sabine, Zeb, and a squirming Ezra.
They reached the springs after a while of walking and Zeb put Ezra down half way there after he quit squirming.
They all ran into the water and started splashing each other. Ezra sat down on they shore and watched them. They stopped what they were doing once they noticed Ezra wasn't in the water and looked at him.
"What are you doing? Weren't you going to get in water?" Asked Sabine.
"I don't like swimming. I live on a desert planet." He replied.
"So? That doesn't mean you can't get in the water." Hera said. Ezra shrugged. "Or can you swim?" Asked Zeb with a smirk.
"Just not in the mood and I can too swim." They continued what they were doing but Zeb wanted to mess with Ezra.
He snuck up behind him and grabbed him. He threw him into the water. Ezra jumped out of the water for air.
"ZEB!!!! I didn't want to go in the water!" Ezra said soaking wet. "But since your already in, stay in." Zeb said with a smirk.
"Fine." Ezra said back.
"Just take your shirt off so it can be dry when we go back." Kanan said.
"No I'll leave it now it's ok." Ezra said real quick.
Zeb smirked at Kanan and Kanan looked to Zeb knowing what he was going to do. Zeb once again sneaked up up on the teen and pulled his shirt off. The crew gasped at the sight.
"Garazeb!! I said leave me alone!" Ezra said standing up in the water but not noticing his shirt missing. Ezra looked back at The crew and saw their expressions. "Wha-" but was cut off by Sabine. "What happened?" He suddenly felt a breeze and shivered. At that moment, he realized he had no shirt. He looked down his scarred abdomen,chest, and arms. He looked back up at his crew. 'Guess it's time to tell them. It's now or never'
He took a deep breath and said "I lived on the streets for eight years, I didn't get off easy every time." He said as calm as he could. "Can you tell us what happened to cause them?" Hera asked gently. Ezra shrugged, sitting back down in the clear water. "Gangs, other street-rats, angry merchants, storm troopers, interrogation droids, you get the idea." Everyone was shocked by the last part. "Interrogation droids?!?"
"Yeah I got caught a lot and was put in prison with the buggers and man they do their jobs." Ezra said with a chuckle. "How many times were you caught with them?" Said Sabine. "I lost track after 35 so I don't know." This saddened The crew and he wanted to cheer them up. He splashed them all in the face so they would look at them. "That's all in the past. I've got you guys now." He said with a chuckle. They smiled at this but Zeb had to ruin it. "You better run kid cause now I'm coming for you!" He said as he swim for Ezra. He jumped up and ran out of the water. His pant legs came up a little and could see more scars on his calves. Zeb and Ezra chased each other around the beach while The crew laughed at the sight.
They all had fun that day and they all learned something new. But The crew couldn't help but think, 'What else did this kid go through?' They walked back to Ghost with Ezra who wasn't afraid to be shirtless anymore. They couldn't help but stare at the gruesome scars though. But they could see, Ezra was happy to have that weight lifted of his shoulders. They were very happy to see this.
