Chapter 37: Little Bird

Sabine was looking around the city when she saw a spray paint art piece on the side of a building. She was quickly took interested in it so she took a picture. She continued looking around the city and she continued to run into different pieces all signed by the same person. She quickly went to The ghost and printed them out.
She called everyone to the living room and placed the photos on the coffee table. They all trudged in and sat down, sad their day off was interrupted. They all suddenly saw the pictures and were looking at them. By the time Ezra had arrived, they were done looking at them and we're talking about it. He saw the photos and quickly picked them all up. He smiled at the art, noticing the eyes on him. He glances up and said "Where'd you get these?" "I took them today in town. They were all over the place. Do you know who the artist is?" He continued looking through the photos and after a minute of hesitation, he responded gently "He goes by the name Little Bird. No one knows who he is except a few street rats." They looked towards each and back at the teen. Kanan said as a fact "Of course you know who he is." Ezra smirked and The crew grew uncomfortable. "Can you at least give us a hint at who he is?" Sabine said desperately. He flipped to the next picture and glanced up again. He nodded softly and said as he was carefully looking at the picture, "Ok, he's in this room."
The room grew silent with shock. They all suddenly noticed Ezra's attire. His jumpsuit was bunched up at his waist with a white tank top on, showing off his scarred, ripped arms. But they also noticed small paint splatters here and there. Sabine looked at him in shock as he put the photos don't on the table. "Your Little Bird?" He smiled. Not a half smirk, but a really smile. "And why would you do this?" He smile wavered as he said "My parents did broadcasts as Voices of Freedom. So when I was eight, I continued speaking out against the Empire, just in a different way. But I didn't name myself, Lothal did." They all sat god-smacked but Sabine suddenly said "Your working on a new piece. Aren't you?" He eyed her wearily. He nodded "Yes... And since you now know, would you like you help?" She smile so wide, they though her face would split. She nodded eagerly and he nodded his head towards the door and they walked out causally as if they weren't about to go against laws and paint a building. They looked towards each other and left the room silently.

Ezra and Sabine reach the new painting which was on a abandoned building in the middle of town. She stared up in awe at the painting. It was of a girl with a bird in her head. He handed her a stick and she looked at it weirdly. Sensing her confusion, he said "It's to mix it. It's supposed to look like stars." She nodded understanding.

After three hours of painting they finished it and Ezra signed it with Little Bird. Sabine took a picture for the rest to see and they started the way home. Ezra commed ahead of time and told them they were on their way home. They all met up in the living room again and showed them. They praised them for their work and they all head to bed after a long day.

After that day, Ezra continued to speak out and also with the usually help of Sabine. And then others started to see the art and got inspired. After a year of painting, the town had graffiti everywhere. From inspirational to fun art. The town looked like one of Sabine's bomb went off but that was just how they people like it and even Sabine liked it. Ezra was proud he got it started and how everyone rebelled and painted.

'I hope I made you proud Mum and             Dad.'
