Ezra has been holding a deep secret no one knows and he wants to tell The Crew. He hasn't been able to sleep because he's be thinking about it too much. With the dark bags under his eyes and tiredness catching up to him,he thinks 'They're going to reject me. I know it. I'm going to be thrown out if I tell them.' But there's one thing he forgot to do, he forget to put up his shields.
Kanan was meditating when he heard his Padawan's thoughts. He got up after deciding to confront him and walked towards his room. He walked in to find Ezra sitting with his feet over the side and his elbows on his knees with his head on his knuckles. Kanan cleared his throat making Ezra jump in surprise. Kanan smirked and said "Is there something you want to tell us?" Ezra looked at him in surprise. "How'd you know?" Kanan chuckled and replied "You forget your mental shields." Ezra pouted and thought 'Well there is something but I don't think you'll want then.' Kanan heard his thoughts again and his face fell. He went up to his Padawan and laid a hand on his shoulder. "Let's go talk to The crew."

After minutes of arguing, Kanan finally got Ezra into the Living room where everyone was already waiting. Kanan stopped Ezra out in the middle of the spotlight and sat down on the couch sat to Hera. He raised his hand and gestured for him to start. Ezra sighed and said angrily "Fine, if want to know so bad then you have to promise not to freak out." He voice growing sad, nervous, and small towards the end. The crew looked towards each other scared at what got the kid upset. Hesitantly, they nodded one by one towards the lightly tense teen. He said before he did anything, "Your the first people I've told who aren't my parents so please don't freak out."

Hesitantly, he raised one of his cat ears from his blue hair that blended in so well. Then he slowly raised the other one, twitching one its way up. The crew sat there stunned at the cat eared teen who was growing more nervous. He ears rotating from sound to sound, getting used to being used again.

After a few minutes of tense silence, Sabine was the first to speak. "OMF! (Someone guess what it means!) You are adorable! Please tell me you have a tail!" He ears flattened against his head as his cheeks flared red. Suddenly, something started to move from Ezra's pant leg. Slowly, a fuzzy, long, blue tail came from a slit in his pants they haven't noticed. The tail almost touching the ground, started to move on its own. Sabine squealed as she hand her hand through the tail and surprisingly, Ezra started to purr. After he noticed what he was doing, stopped and turned around to smack Sabine's hands away. He turned back around and stared at the ground. Mumbling out "So your not mad are you?" Hera was the first to answer "Of course not, Love. It's cute too." Ezra blushed again and his ears flattened. He looked up towards his Master and said barely a above a whisper "Kanan, please say something." Kanan snapped out of his thoughts and said gently "It's amazing. And if you don't mind me asking, what species are you?" The others looked towards Ezra who smiled with his ears up and tail happily swaying, "Half Anthro" they chuckled at the kid who stopped smiling and said with his ears down and straight out "What's so funny?" They then burst out laughing at his expression. Ezra standing there confused waited for them to stop and ask "Seriously? What?" Kanan, stilling smiling said "Your face was so funny" Ezra pouted with his ears down and his tail sagging to the floor. Hera smiled and got up walking over to him. She started to run her fingers through his hair which caused him to purr again. But he didn't jump out of the reach this time. He stood their with slouched shoulders and a smile.
He started to drift off after a few minutes but before he could, Kanan stood up and grabbed Hera's hand from running through it again. He smiled at the glaring Twi'lek and said "You better stop before you make him pass out on the floor." Hera smiled and took her hand away from Kanan and said "Wait I want to test something." He nodded and she looked towards Ezra who looked ready to drop and put her arm around his shoulders. But before he could pull away, she ran her hand threw his hair, stopping all his movements. He leaned into the touch and started purring again. After 3 run throughs with her hand, he dropped completely into her arms and she sat with him on the floor. His head in her lap and his body curled around her with his tail swishing side to side across the floor. Still purring because of the hand still running through his hair. Hera looked over to Kanan and whispered "He's asleep and I think my experiment was just proved right." Kanan was confused "And what was this experiment?" "When Sabine rubbed his tail, he calmed down. So I thought if you pet him long enough, he might pass out and he just did." Zeb chuckled and said the first thing through this whole conversation, "That's what happened to kits on Lasan." They looked at him and Hera said "Do you mind carrying him to his room?" He nodded and stood up but once he touched the kid, he whimpered and curled more up on Hera. They smiled and Hera finally decided "It's ok Zeb, I'll carry him." He looked skeptical but nodded. She picked him up under his knees and shoulders and pick him up surprisingly easily. She looked at everyone and said in a scared voice "He really needs to eat more. He feels like 60 pounds. That's far too light." They nodded in agreement but Hera walked out before they could answer.

She carried him all the way to his room with no problem and placed him up on his bunk. She grabbed the navy blue blanket that was bunched up at the end of the bed and speared it over his already curled up form. She smiled as she heard soft purring from him as he snuggled against the blanket. She made sure he was tucked in and walked out to the living room again.

After everyone was settled on the couches again, Kanan was the first to say "Wasn't excepting that." They nodded and he added "He's literally half cat." But Sabine ruined the moment by saying "And a cute one at that! I can't wait to paint him." They chuckled at her enthusiasm and Hera said "Yeah but it doesn't change how we feel about him. He is still a kid in need of a family and he trusted us with his secret. We need to respect that." They nodded in agreement, serious once again.
After discussing other things, they all went to bed and Zeb walked in to found Ezra purring in his sleep. He chuckled lightly and crawled into bed listening to the soft purring. He slipped into darkness at the soft sound that soothed him to sleep.
Hera was about to sleep but she couldn't stop thinking about Ezra. How he was nervous to tell them something. She want him to know he can tell them anything but she knew he was a stubborn as Kanan. She laid down in her bed and thought before she fell asleep, 'I guess I'll have to fix that. He's part of the family now and he shouldn't have to be uncomfortable. I guess I'll just have to add it to the fix things list and place that above 'fixing the Empire'. My SON comes first.' And slipped into unconsciousness.
