Ezra is now 19. They were on a rescue mission saving 3yr girl and that's all they know. The mission went wrong and Ezra had to escape in a TIE fighter. The Empire was able to hit him and he crash landed in front of the Ghost.

The crew were lined up outside on the ramp with the rescued girl behind them. She hasn't spoken since they've rescued her. Ezra limped out of the TIE with scrapes and bruises and walked over to The crew. He smiled at them all and crouched down and he spotted the hidden girl and she looked at him. A flash of familiarity flashed in her violet eyes. He nodded at her. And opened his arms for her.
At this point, The crew were just confused and watched the exchange of actions. Once she saw the nod, she ran out from behind them and into his arms. He stood up with her in his arms and threw her into the air. She squealed with delight and he laughed with her. He caught her and hugged her. He kissed her head and let a single tear side down his face.
The crew were now just a mix of emotions. Confused the child knows him, sad Ezra is crying, and angry they don't know who the child is (Zeb). What the child did next shocked them all to the bone.
She pulled back from the hug and stared at Ezra's tear streaked face. She asked him "Why Dada so sad?" The crew gasped in surprise and waited for Ezra's answer. He smiled and replied "Dada's not sad. He's happy he found you again." He kissed her cheek and she giggled again. He walked up to The crew with his daughter still in arms and said "Crew meet my daughter, Mira, Mira this is Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Zeb, and Chopper." He said as he pointed to everyone. She nodded and said "I remember the stories mummy said. The ones you told her." He smiled and chuckled. She laid her head down on his shoulder and he asked her in a worried tone"Hey where is mummy? Why are you alone?" Everyone was surprised by his question and tone and looked to the almost asleep child. She said as she drifted off to sleep "Killed by bucket- heads. Told me to tell you that she loved you and wanted me to give you this." He looked down at her hands and she pulled out of her pocket half of a locket. He took the locket and looked at it. He smiled and heard quiet snoring. He walked passed the still shocked crew and said "I'll explain everything in the kitchen" and went to put her down on his bed.
He walked into the kitchen to find everyone there. He sat down and said "Ask away" Kanan was the first to question "You have a kid?" " Yes I believe you just met her." Hera was next "Can you please tell us the story behind her?" He smiled and nodded "Well I was what 16 when I first met her. I find a beautiful innocent girl beaten in an allay and helped her patch up her wounds. I asked her who did it and she wouldn't tell me. I knew she was stubborn from that day on.
I met her again in the same allay the next week beaten up and asked her again. She again wouldn't tell and she went on her way expect this time I followed her and found out it was her alcoholic father. I told him to back off and he got mad and threw her against the wall. She passed out and I took her to my parents house and help her there. I told her she could stay there and we cleaned it up a bit. She got a job at the bar and we later found out her father died from alcohol overdose. Since we didn't have to pay taxes, she spent her money on food and I had some money left over at the house but being the nice girl she was she wouldn't except it. So I went out and got groceries and put them in the house. She got mad but thanked me anyway.

Well our relationship bloomed from that day on and I told her I was a Jedi and I couldn't be with her but I couldn't resist her. A year later, she told me she was pregnant and I was literally the happiest man alive. So I helped her over that so that was why I was gone most of time if you were wondering. And in the spring, we had a beautiful baby girl. She named her after my mother and we went home and then I had to go with y'all to to the fleet for a while but made sure they had what they needed. And then I couldn't see them as much. Actually, this is the first time in almost a year I haven't seen her. And so that's the story of her and my beautiful girlfriend Elizabeth but I call her Ez." He finished.
The crew were shocked by the story and Hera and Sabine couldn't help but 'Awwww' at the story but Hera also couldn't help but think 'I kept him from his child'. Ezra felt the guilt and said "Stop it now Hera you didn't know and that's my fault." Hera smiled and nodded but Zeb had a question "But what about the locket Mira gave you?" He smiled and pulled that half out then he reached into his shirt and pulled out the other. "This was my anniversary gift to her. I had one half and she has the other." They smiled satisfied with the answer. Then all of a sudden, Ezra jumped up and ran out of the room. The crew looked to each other and ran out after Ezra.
They ran to his room to find him hugging his crying daughter. He rocked her back and forth till she calmed down enough to speak and he said quietly to her "Want to tell me about it?" She nodded stiffly and said "It was about mummy. Someone shot her and then took me and then you said you didn't want me." She said full sobbing now. Ezra shushed her and kissed her little blue haired head. He rocked her back and forward till she fell asleep. He pulled a blanket over her body which was curled up on his chest and his shirt balled into her hands. He was about to get up but her grip on his shirt tightened. He chuckled and whispered "I guess I could use a nap" he laid down with her in his arms and slowly fell asleep.
The crew watched the father/daughter moment and at some point Hera got a camera. The crew thought about what a good dad Ezra is and They walked away to let the family rest.
