It was still early in the morning when Susan managed to rose up from the bed. The red-head stepped softly on the pile of clothes under the bed, she didn't pay much attention to it, as usual. Getting used to her room being a complete mess, she stumbled across her bedroom's door and pressed her head on the door, "Ugh..." she groaned.

"Hmm..."

A soft woman's murmur came from under the bedsheets, making Susan's eyes open widely. She finally turned around just to see a familiar figure lying on her own bed. "What the fuck?!" she whispered and touched her forehead.

Susan tip-toed her way to the bed. She stood above the other woman and grabbed the blanket's edge, slowly she managed to uncover her.

"Jessica?" she shouted

"Hm?" Jessica replied and looked at her

"Wh... what are you doing here?"

"Jesus... good morning to you too"

"Good morning. What are you doing here?"

"Fuck..." Jessica whispered and sat on the bed, resting her head to the side, she looked at Susan and smirked, "Come sit next to me"

"Will you answer my question first?"

"Sure..." she replied and reached for her cigarettes. "What am I doing here?"

"Exactly"

"Well, you invited me. You remember that don't you?" she said and lighted up her cigarette, she closed her eyes and exhaled, "Sweet Jesus..."

Susan stood there, watching the other woman, observing her. Something about her... the way she moved was so strange but yet so mesmerizing. Susan sighed and finally sat next to her. Jessica opened her eyes and smirked again, her hand found Susan's but Susan immediately took her hand away. "Ooh... hard to get... I like that" she said and laughed.

"Jessica, I wanna know what happened"

"Well, I told you what happened, I don't know what else you want"

"Okay, let's get it straight"

"Let's..." Jessica said and looked at her smiling

"Don't do this to me!" Susan yelled and looked at her

"Oh, but I didn't do anything, honey"

"I can't concentrate when you look at me like that!"

"Fine!" She replied and threw her hands in the air.

"I ran into you yesterday, we talked, you told me you're in town to run some errands. Is that right?"

"I'm impressed..."

"And then I asked you if you would like to come for a drink that night"

"We certainly had that drink, baby"

"Why can't I remember what happened?"

"You know most people would kill for something like that" she replied and laughed

"Jessica, please..."

Jessica stopped and looked at her, she took a moment and then: "Fine!" she said and put out the cigarette, "The reason you don't remember a single thing is because you were so fucking high plus you must've drunk a whole bottle or two. I told you to lay off that God damn cigarette but you insisted. I thought you were gonna pass out, I tried to take care of you..."

Flashback:

"I miss Penny..."

"Oh, I know very well how that feels..." Jessica said and looked at her friend smoking, "I know it will sound stupid but I got used to her, it's so strange being alone in the house"

"You could invite friends over"

"I could but I don't think it's a good time to do that at this point"

"Fuck, I totally forgot about it"

"Well, you live up in the woods alone, you're safe"

"I'm tired of being alone"

"Is the drink talking or you mean it?" Susan asked and took a sip from her glass while chuckling

"No, I mean it... If I die up there, no one's gonna find me..."

"That's nice... thinking," Susan said and started laughing

"Oh, but I mean it. What if I fall?"

"Then find someone, you still got it"

"No, no..." she replied laughing, "I don't want another man in my life, I had plenty, I'm good"

"Then find a woman"

"You've got someone in mind?"

"Not at the moment. You?"

Jessica took a moment before answering, "How long have you been aware of this?"

"Since the start"

Jessica looked away and chuckled, "I had no intentions of falling for you. You were the only one I was thinking of, that's why I spent most of my time up in Minnesota. I'm scared of running into you"

"What about now?"

"What is that mean?"

"You're over me?"

"I'm... trying to"

"I'm sorry you had to go through this"

"I'm sorry too"

"For what?" Susan asked and took a drag from her cigarette

"For disappearing, for coming back again. You know, in all my life, getting over you was by far the most difficult thing I've ever done"

"I... I don't know what to say"

"You don't have to say anything"

"I was seeing someone..."

"You think I don't know that?"

"I had feelings for you but it wasn't right, for him I mean"

"Sue, I know"

"Knowing that you have feelings for me was kinda difficult for me as well, I needed you but mostly as a friend and then I lost you."

"That's why I never came to all those events, the golden globes..."

"I wanted you there"

"I couldn't... after the Emmys... I couldn't stop thinking of you, and that dress. You were so beautiful that night, your body, your eyes, your lips, Gosh! You made me feel like I was getting crazy or something"

"No, I mean it, I didn't care about anyone in that room, I just wanted to... do things to you"

"I think you had too much of that whiskey"

"Why didn't you do it?"

"I don't know... maybe it was just a simple excitement"

"You've been with a woman before?"

"Yes..."

"How was it?"

"Incredible"

"I'm sure it was"

"Yeah..." Jessica said and nodded while biting her lips, looking at her friend, she opened her legs and rested her elbows on her knees. They sat for several minutes in silence, just looking at each other.

"So you're going back tomorrow?"

"No, next Monday, I'm gonna spend the week here. I've got things to do like I told you"

"How nice..."

"Isn't it?"

"What are you thinking?"

"You"

"What about?"

"Oh, you don't wanna know"

"Maybe I do"

"I'm thinking how badly I want to make love to you"

Susan looked at her and gasped, she shook her head, "Here?"

"Right where you're sitting"

"I've never seen you like that"

"You haven't seen nothing yet"

"What else?"

"Nothing else, I just want to taste you... But, it's getting late so I should probably head back home"

"Yeah, you probably should..." Susan said and stood up, feeling dizzy, she fall back into the couch, "Fuck" she said laughing

"Are you okay?"

"No, I am... I just shouldn't smoke and drink at the same time"

"I told you so..." Jessica said and stood up, she walked to the couch and made Susan lie, taking a blanket she covered her friend and kissed her forehead. "Thanks" she replied and kissed Jessica's jawline

"Goodnight..." Jessica replied and finally gave her a peck on her lips. She looked at her, "One more?" Susan whispered and looked at her friend, Jessica leaned on her again and softly kissed her bottom lip, moving her kisses down to her neck. "Please stay here tonight" Susan whispered but Jessica had no intention to leave anyway...

Back to reality:

"And then, I stayed," she said and blew the smoke away. Looking at her friend, sitting with her mouth hanging open.

"But I was alright, I mean, how can't I remember us having sex!"

"Maybe you've had better..."

"No, don't say that"

"Well, what do you want me to say. It is what it is. We had a great time"

With that Jessica started laughing, she placed the cigarette on the ashtray and reached for Susan's hands, "Come here..." she said and smiled, Susan leaned closer and locked her eyes with Jessica's. "I'm just so nervous"
