Bob Duncan x Fat!Amy Duncan
Amy Duncan hadn't ever been this big in her life. She didn't think being pregnant would make her that big, but she was wrong. She couldn't see her feet over her stomach. She could barely get up without using her arms to push herself up. She usually had to have Bob help her around the house.
Amy rested her bowl of popcorn on her stomach as she reached toward the remote. However, her fingers didn't reach the remote. With a groan, she stuffed more popcorn in her mouth. She wasn't happy that she couldn't reach the remote, but there was nothing she could do about it.
Colors flashed in the dark living room, but she couldn't focus on the TV. Her attention span had grown thinner the longer she carried this baby. Her patience had also grown thin, too. She was always snapping at Bob for things he did and didn't do.
Amy couldn't sleep. She had tried in her bedroom upstairs, but she couldn't stand Bob snoring. It sounded like a freight train had moved into their bedroom. She also couldn't get comfortable. Her stomach would always get in the way. She hoped this would be her last kid. One and done. That would be nice if her and Bob only had one. They'd have more than enough room for him or her.
She kept shoveling popcorn into her mouth even though she wasn't hungry. She was craving something sweet, but Bob ate all the chocolate when he came home from work earlier. He said he deserved it because he battled a raccoon. He wasn't pregnant, though. She was. And she deserved the chocolate for carrying their future child.
Soft footsteps echoed on the stairs, and Amy craned her head around. Bob's eyes were closed as he stepped onto the landing. He pushed the kitchen door open and disappeared. Amy didn't make a noise because she didn't want him to find her there. He was most likely sleepwalking to get some food. He usually did that in the middle of the night. Amy hoped that their future child wouldn't have the appetite Bob had. He was eating them out of house and home already, and her weird cravings didn't help anything.
The kitchen door swung open again. Amy ducked her head as Bob glanced around. She doubted he would notice the TV on, but she wasn't sure. He barely noticed when she got a haircut. However, he would notice every single ground squirrel running through their yard. He noticed everything that interested him, and she didn't think she was apart of that.
"Amy!" Bob called from upstairs.
"Yes?"
"There's no toilet paper up here! Can you bring me some?"
Anger surged through Amy. She couldn't believe he would ask her to do that. She was about to pop, but he wanted her to bring up toilet paper. With a groan, Amy pushed herself up to standing. She waddled over to the hall closet and grabbed a pack of toilet paper. Taking the stairs very slowly, she finally made it upstairs. Amy rested against the wall on the landing before heading into their bedroom.
"Here, Bob," she said.
She threw the pack of toilet paper against the bathroom door. The click of the bathroom door told her that Bob got the toilet paper. Just as she turned around, Bob said, "Don't leave yet!"
"Why?" she asked irritably. "I'm watching something downstairs."
"Just hang on a second."
Amy waited in the doorway of their bedroom. She really wanted to sit down, and the longer it took Bob in the bathroom, the angrier she got. She didn't know what he wanted to do, but she didn't want to do it.
Finally, the bathroom door opened and Bob stepped out. A smile lit up his face. Something was in his hands, but Amy couldn't see because the lights weren't on. The only light came from the window where the moon streaked in.
"Happy birthday, sweetheart," he said after flipping the light on.
She glanced around their room with awe. He had strung up Christmas lights where the ceiling met the wall. On the small desk in the corner sat a large blue and pink cake. A small box was situated in his hands.
"What is this?" she asked.
"It's your birthday," Bob explained. "I decided to get a pink and blue cake because we don't know the gender of our baby yet."
Amy honestly didn't know it was her birthday. She didn't even know what day it was. With a quick glance at the clock, she realized it was about one in the morning, and that was why it was her birthday.
"Open your gift while I cut you a piece of cake."
She took the gift out of his hands and pulled the wrapping off. Inside the wrapping was a box, so she opened that, too. Amy gasped in surprise at the beautiful necklace in the box. On it was one jewel, representing their first child together. More jewels were in a small bag, each a different color.
"Bob, this is beautiful!" Amy said softly.
She looked up to see him smiling at her. A piece of cake sat on a plate in his hands, and he held up a fork with a bite of cake on it. She opened her mouth and took a bite of it. Sweet sugar floated through her mouth, and Amy smiled.
"I love you," Bob said to her. "And I hope we get to have many more birthdays together with our children."
"You want more children?" Amy asked him.
"You don't?"
"Well, I guess we could have like two more."
"That's what I was thinking."
They smiled at each other. Amy couldn't wait to spend the rest of her life with him.
