Dean sat across on the bed, looking at Sam. His brother sighed and looked back at him. "It didn't work, Dean, he won't come,"
Dean looked down, thinking he'd have a better chance of getting Castiel's attention. He cleared his throat and clasped his hands together.
"Cas, we, uh, really need your help, if you could come down and-," Dean said awkwardly.
They heard a flutter of wings and Castiel appeared in front of them. Sam looked up bewilderedly.
"You'll come when Dean calls, but not when I do?!" Sam exclaimed.
Castiel looked at him for a moment and nodded. "Dean and I share a more profound bond,"
Sam rolled his eyes. "Whatever, Cas,"
For a while they talked of plans and strategies, but they didn't have the resources or the time. Eventually Sam became frustrated and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Dean shook his head at his brother's temper and looked up at Castiel. He noticed the angel had been watching him, but looked away as soon as Dean met his gaze. Dean frowned, and stood up, stepping towards Cas.
Castiel looked at Dean nervously, and in turn backed away. Dean gave Cas a weird look and leaned against the table.
"Uh, Cas?"
Castiel glanced at him. "Yes, Dean?"
Dean inhaled and shifted uncomfortably. "What exactly did you mean when you said we shared a profound bond?"
Castiel froze then ducked his head. "It was nothing, Dean, I pulled you out of hell, what else-,"
"Cas," Dean interrupted his rambling. "You can tell me,"
Castiel sighed and Dean noticed a slight blush on Castiel's cheeks. Dean raised his eyebrows and looked at Cas expectantly.
"Dean, I..." Cas trailed off.
Dean closed his eyes for a moment, thinking of all possibilities. A thought came to him, a thought he had told himself he wasn't allowed to think. What if Cas feels the same as you do?
Dean suddenly felt a pit of anxiety form in his stomach, his heart had started to race and he moved closer to the angel.
"Cas, you could just show me," Dean lifted Castiel's chin so he was looking at Dean.
Cas' blue eyes widened and he just stared at Dean. After a few seconds Cas blinked and he raised his head and touched Dean's lips softly with his own.
Dean felt a spark of excitement surge through him and he kissed back. Cas put a hand on the back of Dean's head, weaving his fingers through Dean's hair. Dean wrapped his arms around Castiel's waist. They stayed that way for several seconds, until they were interrupted by Sam opening the door.
Sam closed the door behind him, he hadn't noticed the scene unfolding before him. "Hey guys, I think I found something..."
His voice trailed off as he looked at his brother. Dean pulled away from Cas, glaring at Sam. Dean saw Cas look at him somewhat disappointedly and he made a note to himself to make it up to Cas later. He blushed at the thought of what exactly later meant.
Sam was looking down awkwardly. "Profound bond my ass,"
Now it was Castiel's turn to blush and Dean chuckled slightly. Sam cleared his throat and turned to the door. "I guess I'll give you some privacy then,"
Sam quickly opened the door and hurried outside. Dean looked at Cas and smirked, stepping towards him. "Now, where were we,"
