Kayleigh leaned over and kissed Jack on the cheek, making him jump. Luna, who sat across for them with Davey, giggled.

Even at 18, Luna still laughed like a little girl, prompting the other three to laugh with her.

Kayleigh looked around.

"So, everyone ready for Christmas?" She asked, excitement threading into her voice.

Luna nodded, grinning brightly.

Davey and Jack exchanged looks of confusion.

"Why?" They asked. Kayleigh raised her eyebrows.

"Really, boys?" She asked. Luna pointed out the door and mouthed,

"Emergency meeting."

The two met in the hall.

"They aren't ready for Christmas?" Kayleigh gasped.

"Maybe Jack, but Davey?" Luna added. Kayleigh smacked her arm.

"What if the other newsies aren't ready either?" Kayleigh asked.

"We better ask the girls," Luna finished.

"Nope," Jennifer said. This wasn't surprising as Spot wasn't know for enthusiasm.

"Hasn't mentioned it," Anna amended. For Crutchy it was strange.

"Not a word," Blaire whispered. Bumlets...they weren't sure what to think.

The five exchanged looks of exasperation.

"We have to get their Christmas spirit up," Kayleigh said determinedly.

"I have an idea," Anna said. "We could ask Medda to throw a party. A Christmas party!"

In the end they all agreed. Medda agreed. All that was left to do was get the boys to come.

Everyone was there...except Jack. Kayleigh was glaring at the door, waiting for her boyfriend to enter.

Luna sat down after a particularly fast dance and caught her breath.

"Oh, you know him, Kay. Jackie-Boy likes a grand entrance," she comforted. The red head sighed and stood. "Come on, we should help Jane and Les with the punch."

Kayleigh sighed and walked over to the two ten year olds, both of which were balancing bowls of punch.

Kayleigh had just set down one of the bowls when she felt arms around her waist.

"Hey, Kay," Jack said.

"Hey, Jack," Kayleigh replied, grinning. "How's the party?"

"Perfect," Jack pledged. He spun Kayleigh around and pulled her in for a kiss.

Kayleigh then noticed they were under the mistletoe.
