1. Anxiety 

Headcanon that merlin has anxiety and when he has minor panic attacks he accidentally does magic, like a random flame will jump from its bracket on the wall and start tap dancing, so he fixes it quickly. 

But then during major ones big magic happens. One time he turned gaius into a goat, but he was so stressed he didnt realise for an hour when Arthur came into the physician's chambers to find merlin and was like "Why the hell is there a goat in here?"

Sometimes he'll start thinking he's speaking nonsense and not realise he's speaking dragon and Kilgharrah pops up.

K: Dude what?

M: What?

2. RELATIONSHIPS THAT WERE THERE BUT NOT

Merlin and Arthur obviously

Merlin and Gwaine at some point

Morgause and Morgana were definitely into each other before Morgana found out they were sisters. But like these are really old times so I wouldn't be surprised if they'd done poetry together like even after Morgana found out 

Obviously Morgana and Gwen

Lancelot and Merlin but only a small amount in the background (it was like the entire show (well the entirety that Lancelot is in) but it was only slightly there)

Mordred 100% had a crush on Merlin for like most of season five but it was completely unrequited and he knew it, like Merlin had turned him down a few times and been like "sorry bro but servants can't date knights" and that night Mordred heard the other knights chatting about Merthur and Mordred was all "SO HE CANT DATE KNIGHTS BUT HE CAN DATE THE KING?", but yeah even tho Merlin turned him down he couldn't help himself cos of those beautiful blue eyes and his dark hair and- *cough* ANYWAY (can you tell this is one of my biggest ones?) 

Percival and Elyan. HAVE YOU SEEN THAT HEIGHT DIFFERENCE??? LIKE OH MY GOODNESS ITS BEAUTIFUL, ELY IS THE SHORTEST OF THE MAIN DUDES AND PERCIVY IS THE TALLEST SO THAT JUST MAKES IT EVEN CUTER I CAN'T 

There was something with Elyan and Gwaine at least during season 3 episode 13 (did you hear the way Elyan asked "Gwaine? You still there?" Like his voice shook. I know they're all friends but stillllll) but I don't reckon it worked out too well, I'm not sure tho.

Gwaine and Percival of course

Gwaine Percival and Elyan could be in a poly relationship???? I'm not rly sure tho, it's difficult to tell. Percival's probably dating both Gwaine and Elyan, but whether Elyan and Gwaine are dating I can't tell. 

All the knights, Arthur, and Merlin had at least a minor crush on Leon at some point, but he turned down the ones brave enough to ask him out cos he's really just an aggressively sweet little aro boy

The alien thing in Arthur's bane?? I forgot what they're called... but yeah they definitely gave Gwaine a HUGE crisis cos literally no one knows if they're male, female, both or neither, and gwaine was like "am I attracted??? I cant tell???????" So yeah that happened
