Christmas Present (Phan)
It was Christmas Eve, a little late to go Christmas shopping. But Phil quickly shuffled into the mall, sniffling. It was cold outside, so his nose was runny and his cheeks were cold. He was searching for the perfect Christmas gift for his best friend, Dan. His eyes traveled to the pet shop as soon as he arrived inside the mall. He's been continuously rambling on about kittens and how much he would love to have one. Phil knew the gift he could get.
He walked into the pet shop, and marvelled at the ugly and cute animals alike, he giggled to himself. He took off the scarf that draped around his neck and mouth and went into the room labeled 'Cats and Kittens'.
There was a decent amount of cats being taken care of in there, at least fifteen or sixteen. He knew Dan wanted a kitten, not a grown cat.
He walked up to a small one, gray and fluffy. Darker stripes were scattered across it's back, with a berry pink nose and bright blue eyes. It was perfect.
He walked up to the one of the ladies that took care of them, and asked;
"That one over there, boy or girl, and how old?"
"Oh," she said, smiling warmly. "It's a girl, and she's eight months."
"She's quite adorable," Phil laughed. "I'll take her, is she full-bred?"
"Yep, so it costs a lot, I guess." She giggled.
"Well, how much?"
"Four hundred fifty dollars," she answered. "Usually they would be more expensive, but because she's a kitten it's less. We really want a home for her."
"Good enough," I chuckled. I pulled out my wallet that surprisingly actually had enough money, and payed her.
"Thank you! I didn't catch your name?"
"Phil, yours?"
"Nikkea." (Nick-ee-a)

I laughed as me and Dan thumped down the flight of stairs in our flat, giggling. The only thing in my head now was the kitten I got for him. I bought all the supplies already and hid them in my room, behind my clothes.
We walked into the lounge, and Dan childishly giggled at all the presents under the tree.
"Let's open some shit!" He yelled, diving down into a bundle of gifts.
I laughed, and eyed the spot where the kitten was. Of course, I made sure to get up extra early. Well, thirty minutes before Dan. To feed her and give her water, and to scoop the litter box. So I just got a box and put bedding in it. She's only been in there for ten minutes, so I guess it's not that bad.
I sat down and picked up a small gift, and I started unwrapping it. The tag on it said 'from Dan'.
I opened it and gaped at the box. iPhone 6+ was written on it in the usual iPhone box font. I nearly choked as I looked over at Dan.
"How did you afford this?!" I asked, eyes wide.
Dan smiled shyly, twiddling his thumbs.
"I kinda saved up.." He murmured.
"Dan, I can't believe you spent the time saving up for this, for me. C'mere." I said.
He laughed, and crawled over and I hugged him. I watched a heat rise to Dan's face as he curled in my arms.
"Thank you," I whispered, pecking his head and laughing.
"Phil!" Dan giggled, face beet red.
I wanted to kiss him so badly.
"C'mon, let's get some gifts open."
-
Dan watched curiously as he opened what he thought was the last gift. He giggled as he picked out the new pair of glow in the dark headphones I got him.
"Thanks Phil, I love it!" He said happily.
"Your welcome," I replied. "Why don't you just take a look way under the tree?"
Dan gave me a look of confusion, then dipped under the tree and pulled out the last one. The kitten. His eyes widened.
"Phil," He whispered. "It's moving."
"Just open it," I urged.
He nodded, and pulled off the top and squealed.
"PHIL!" He yelled, grinning. "There's a kitten in here!"
"I know, I got it for you." I laughed, cheekily.
He pulled the kitten out, snuggling against it as he laughed. He hugged it and giggled.
"I'm naming her Ashes!" He said, petting the cat as she mewed.
'Ashes' purred, rubbing against Dan's leg. She let out a soft mew, poking Dan's cheek with her nose. Dan looked inside the box again and pulled out a pink collar.
"Thank you so much Phil!" He laughed.
I scooted over beside him and i froze as a pair of lips pressed against my cheek quickly. I looked over at Dan, he had a smile on his face and a blush tinting his cheeks.
"You sneaky little bastard," I said, dipping forward and smashing our lips together.
