Good Silences- Chendy
I don't own any of the characters. They belong to Hiro Mashima, not me.
Enough about that, now, let's begin!

Another day passed, which meant another day of not confessing her feelings for a certain someone.
She knew there would be a possibility of being rejected, and her friendship with Sherria could end up damaged.
Wendy entered a bakery, and sat down at one of the round tables. When her menu arrived, she read it over and over again.
Until she decided to think about her nonexistent love life.
"Earth to Wendy!" A voice exclaimed, hypnotizing the young dragon slayer to snap her out of reality.
"Huh? What?" She blinked, noticing a pink haired girl sitting in front of her. Perhaps the girl was a few years older than Wendy, maybe the same age.
The girl's hair was styled in pigtails. Wendy observed her short, sleeveless black floral dress, gold necklace, and the brown boots.
'I like that outfit, it suits her. Well, I think she's pretty on anything.'
"Hello Wendy," she smiled.
"Sherria! Don't scare me like that!" Wendy's face became red as a tomato. "A-anyways, let's read the menu so we know what to order!"
"Okay," the pinkette nodded, picking up the menu. She kept staring at the second section, filled with countless variations of an ice cream desserts. Sandwiches, banana splits, milkshakes, and many more!
Wendy couldn't even think of a conversation topic. Aha!
"So... how's your day?" The bluenette hunched her shoulders. She really was THAT nervous.
"I'm doing well, what about you?" Sherria replied. Waiting for a response, she tapped her fingers on the table.
'I don't know how I'm feeling-' Wendy thought.
"I'm alright. Hoping our first date goes well," Wendy scratched the back of her neck. She seemed uncomfortable, butterflies on her stomach, stuttering, you know how that works.
'I said it's a date! Oh no, she must think I like her or anything. Or... in love... No no no!'
Sherria changed the subject topic to make Wendy feel more comfortable.
"I'm ordering a chocolate smoothie, I've heard it's so good," she drooled at the thought.
"You?" She asked.
At that moment, Wendy opened herself up. "I don't know! I guess I would like to try the cheesecakes," she grinned, her nervousness now gone.
"When the waiter arrives, just say your order. Don't worry, they won't judge."
'Judge about what?'
"Your order, silly." Sherria chuckled.
Suddenly, a waiter arrived at their table just in time.
"Hello! May I have your orders, please?" He asked.
"Of course," The pinkette said. "I want a chocolate milkshake, with whipped cream, and as much chocolate as possible."
The waiter wrote her order down.
"What about you, kid?" He referred to Wendy.
Usually, Wendy would've been embarrassed by now, yet instead she was preparing her little speech.
"All the cheesecakes on the menu!"
"Wow! Coming right up!" The waiter wrote Wendy's order and went back to the kitchen.
Meanwhile they waited for their orders, Wendy told Sherria about the songs she wrote for fun.
"That's cool. To be honest, I'm a better singer than songwriter. Maybe it's just me, but when I come up with my own song, the words are inside my head. But when I write it on paper, it comes out as a mess," Sherria explained.
Wendy kept making eye contact with her.
"Can I ask you something?" Wendy tilted her head.
"Sure."
Wendy thought of the most weird questions.
"Have you liked someone before? More than a friend?"
"Not really," she shook her head. "Although everyone assumes I like someone else, which isn't true. But I do think I have feelings for someone else. Guess now that's a yes," the pinkette held her chin in thought.
"Oh... I understand your situation. Everyone thinks I have a crush on Romeo because we're the same age or something." Wendy rolled her eyes. That was one of the things that pissed her off.
'I'm not sure of my sexuality, yet I'm already being paired up with a stranger? Who does that?' Wendy thought.
Sherria held Wendy's hand to calm her down.
"Another question," Wendy tried to change the subject. "Please."
"Alright," Sherria nodded. "Hmm..."
'Eh?'
"What's something, or someone you can never live without?"
'You and Carla.' She wanted to say.
"I—"
Then, the waiter arrived with Sherria's chocolate milkshake and Wendy's plates of cheesecake.
"You sure you can eat all of that?" Sherria suddenly became concerned for the dragon slayer.
"Yes," Wendy reassured her.
"Okay," Sherria started to drink her milkshake.
She took less time to finish, since she only order one thing. As for Wendy, she took a long time to finish barely a third of the plates.
"Wendy, stop eating if you feel full. You might get—"
"I want to try each and every flavor!"
"No. You ate around eighteen slices. That's enough." Sherria crosses her arms. "Perhaps you should've asked for smaller bites, but what's done is done."
A few moments later, the same brown haired waiter went to check on their table.
"Is everything alright?"
"Can you give her some hot water?" The pinkette pointed at Wendy. "Other than that, nothing else."
In an instant, the waiter gave Wendy a glass of hot water. Wendy drank it, although it made her throat feel on fire. Eventually, the two girls had a pretty good time at the bakery. Sherria paid the total amount for the desserts, more like search for a small purse.
"I forgot something..."
"Hm?"
"My purse! I forgot about it! Now we can't pay for all the food!" The pinkette slammed her head on the table, causing a few customers to stare at her in curiosity. She thought of simply grabbing Wendy's hand, running off the bakery as fast as they could.
She asked Wendy if she had any jewels. She shook her head, as if saying no. Both of the girls were too far away from their homes to simply leave and teleport right back.
Time to run away and become a criminal!
Suddenly, Sherria and Wendy tiptoed to the door, avoiding to look at any of the employees. After they left, they ran as fast as they could. Wendy was at a slower pace, since she ate a lot more food.
Good thing they weren't followed!
They ran past villages, food stands, and shops. After what it felt like eternity, they laid down on a grassy field with intertwined hands. They weren't speaking or anything, just hearing the birds chirping and staring at the sunset. For some reason, it felt natural.
Well, for as long as it lasted.
"You know Wendy, there's a question I had on my mind..." Sherria broke the silence.
"What is it?" Wendy smiled, wondering if it was the question she thought of. Perhaps not, it could've been something else.
