"Morning all" said Y/N, very cheery.

"Morning, what's got you all cheery?" asked Bobby (the Captain)

"Nothin' Just In a good mood" 

Athena, May and Harry came up the stairs and joined in for breakfast.

"Mornin guys" said Bobby who was Harry and May's step-dad. Bobby gave Athena a confused look, they were supposed to be with their father, Michael.

"Michael got called into work, so I thought they could use some hard work, so I brought them here"

"You brought us here to do chores?!" questioned May who was on her phone.

Harry had fallen asleep with his head on the table. Athena tried to shake him awake, even when he was awake he looked groggy.

"Harry are you okay?" asked Bobby

"Fine, just a little sore"

"Where?" asked Hen, The paramedic.

"My ears, gums, lower back and my toes"

Y/N spit out her coffee in Eddie's face.

"Oh come on!" exclaimed Eddie

"Sorry, Harry, your teeth hurt along with you ears and back?"

"And my toes, Is it important?" said Harry as he went back to sleep on the table.

"Yeah, that's what happens before a Wolfblood transforms for the first time" said Y/N with a straight face.

"Harry is not a wolf though" exclaimed Athena

"Exactly, so what's wrong with him?" she wondered. "And even if he was, why today?"

"Its a full moon tomorrow Y/N" exclaimed Hen

"It is?"

They nodded.

"NASH!" Shouted a male voice from the apparatus floor.

Bobby got up from his seat and ran down the stairs to see who was there.

Everyone was looking over the railing at Bobby talking to the Fire Commissioner, the boss of the L.A. Fire department.

"What are they saying Y/N?" asked Buck

"I'm not going to Eavesdrop on them for your entertainment Buck" said Y/N as she sat down and resumed her breakfast.

"Oh come on, Pleaseeeeee?" Pleaded Buck like a five year old.

"Fine, what are you five?" asked Y/N sarcastically. She listened in on the Commissioner and Bobby's conversation.

 She heard them discussing the Wolfblood's in the department, which worried Y/N seeing as she was one. The Commissioner was talking about them as if there was a problem.

"Well?" pushed Buck

"Nothing for you to worry about Buck, trust me, nothing for any of you to worry about"

Everyone sighed in relief and went back to their meal. Meanwhile Y/N was silently freaking out, was she about to get fired? Suspended? She worried for her future in the department.

Bobby made his way up the stairs with the Commissioner.

"Can I have everyone's attention Please" asked Bobby

Everyone looked up from their food and put their attention towards them.

"Commissioner Wood has an announcement to make"

"Thank you Captain, as per the Wolfblood laws, every Wolfblood is banned from working on the day of a full moon if their work place does not have a place for them to spend it, safely"

Y/N scoffed

"Something wrong?" asked the Commissioner.

"No business has places like that, not even the Department, so your basically telling me to go home"

"If you would let me finish, The department is implementing this, so no company goes understaffed on a full moon"

Y/N perked up. "Wolves don't like to be locked up Sir"

"If you want to work on a full moon then you will have to deal with the laws that come with it" "Construction will start in at Noon, and The department would like any ideas you wish to give Miss Stone"

Y/N nodded and took a drink of her coffee. The Commissioner left the station.

"I don't like that guy" said Y/N 

"I don't think he likes you either Y/N" said Bobby

Time skip-Noon

"They're here Bobby" said Y/N reading the newspaper.

"Who?"

"The construction team" replied Y/N who hadn't looked away from her reading.

"Mom my head hurts" Moaned Harry who was squirming on the couch trying to sleep.

"I know baby" Athena looked at Y/N, who was looking at them over the top of her paper, Athena looked like she wanted to talk to her.

Athena got up and went to the kitchen to pour herself a cup of coffee, Y/N followed her seconds later.

"Could he be...?" asked Athena who was getting worried about her son.

"I don't know Athena, Your not one, Michaels not one so I have no..." Y/N stopped talking as she had an idea

"What?" asked Athena

"Let me make a few calls and I'll get back to you"

Y/N walked away and went downstairs to the locker room.

She called her mom. 

'Hello?'

"Mom its me, I need some help"

'Of course honey what's up?'

"My friend Athena, her son is presenting pre transformation symptoms but his mother nor his father is a wolf, Is it possible for the gene to skip generations?"

'I'm not sure, I've never heard of such a thing, I'll make some calls and get back to you'

"Before tomorrow night though, mom, full moon"

'I know honey'

"Love you"

'Love you too'

Y/N hung up the phone and was about to walk back up the stairs when the alarm bells went off. She ran to the Truck and got in waiting for everyone else. When everyone was in the truck they headed off to their call.

The truck returned to the station after the call.

"I'm beat" exclaimed Eddie

"I'll second that" replied Hen

"What do I smell?" asked Y/N "Smells like...Bobby's spaghetti" said Y/n as she sniffed the air.

Everyone ran up to the kitchen to see what was cooking. It turns out Athena was making Bobby's famous Spaghetti and meat balls.

"Athena you are a god send" exclaimed Y/N

Everyone sat at the table as Athena and May served the food.

RING RING

"No phones at the table Y/N" said Bobby

"Sorry Bobby Its my mom, I have to take this" Y/N stood up and took her phone call.

"Hey mom, find anything?"

'I did, and It is indeed possible for the gene to skip over generations, sometimes more than one or two'

Y/N looked at Harry then at Athena who was talking to Bobby while eating her food.

"So harry could be one without even knowing, or without his parents knowing?"

'Yes he could'

"Thanks mom"

'You be safe tomorrow and this boy, It might be wise for him to change with you, It scary changing the first time, especially if he is a gene skipper'

"I was thinking about that too"

"Evan Buckley don't you dare touch my food!" shouted Y/N from across the room. 

"Talk to you later mom" 

Y/N hung up the phone, she head slapped Buck and sat down.

"Ow" exclaimed Buck as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Don't steal my food then"

"Any news?" asked Athena

"Its possible"

"That he could be a wolf?" interrupted Athena.

Y/N nodded. They both looked over at Harry who was finally asleep on the couch.

"How can we be sure?" asked Bobby

"We can't be until tomorrow, the day of a full moon, wolf eyes are yellow, so you'll know then"

"I'm a wolf" said a voice from the sitting area.

"Harry... Its a possibility sweetheart"

"Its why you feel so bad, every wolf gets that pain before transforming"

Michael walked up the stairs and was immediately hugged by his son.

"Hey son what's up?" asked Michael

"I'm a wolf dad" 

"No your not, I'm not and your mothers not, Its impossible" Replied Michael

"No its not, I'm sorry Michael but its a strong possibility that Harry is a Wolfblood"

"How?"

"One of your ancestors or Athena's was a wolf, the gene can skip generations" explained Y/N "He has all the pre transformation symptoms"

"Well whatever the outcome, It doesn't change how I feel about you, you will always be my son"

"Exactly, we will love you either way" explained Athena

Athena and may walked over and joined in on the family hug.

The next day.

Y/N woke up in the bunk room with a monster of a headache. She walked out onto the apparatus floor and saw no one which was weird because the station was usually pretty busy. 

"Hello?"

No response

"Bobby?"

She walked around the station but saw no one, but she heard multiple heartbeats. She followed the sound which lead her up the stairs. Just as she saw the kitchen she stopped, she saw three men holding the team at gunpoint, thankfully they didn't spot her

"This is bad" whispered Y/N 

She ran down the stairs as quiet as she could and got into the truck. She used the radio to call dispatch.

"Dispatch this is firefighter Stone from firehouse 118"

'Go ahead 118'

"Dispatch we have a hostage situation, three armed men, in need of LAPD"

'Copy that, are you in a safe place?'

"Relatively safe, but I doubt it will be safe for long"

'LAPD hostage team has been dispatched, is there any way you can leave the premises?'

"I am not leaving them behind" replied Y/N as she turned off the radio to avoid being heard.

'Now what' thought Y/N, just then one of the men walked past the window, she leaned against the back seat to stop herself getting caught.

Thankfully the man didn't notice her but he was putting chains on the doors, locking them in with 3 armed men.

She stayed in the truck while using her hearing to keep an eye on the team. 

Upstairs

"So captain, which member of you team is the mutt?" asked one of the men who seemed to be the leader.

"Go to hell" replied Bobby who was on he knees. They were all on their knees, handcuffed.

The man punched Bobby in the gut. He fell on his side and started coughing.

"Shit" said Y/N still listening from the truck

"I'll ask you again, who is the mutt?"

"Why do you wanna know?" asked Eddie

"Because they don't belong, they are disgusting, unnatural and vicious and people are supposed to put their trust in them, to protect us, NO" 

"Just because they are different, doesn't mean they don't belong" Replied Buck

"Such an emotional response firefighter Buckley, is it you?" "The flower" Demanded the man. The other man gave him what looked like an orchid. "If the wolf is near, the spots appear" muttered the man.

No spots appeared on the flower.

"Hmmm not you then"

The man walked around every member of the team and no spots appeared on the flower.

"Impossible, I know a wolf works here, FIND IT!" Ordered the man, the other 2 men walked down the stairs.

"I'm screwed" whispered Y/N, she left the truck and tried to sneak into the corridor which housed the offices but she felt a cold object on the side of her head.

"Move and I fire" said the man.

She had been caught, she mentally cursed herself for not hearing him sneak up on her.

"Walk!" ordered the man

They walked up the stairs, Y/N held at gunpoint the whole time.

"Boss, I found it" The man pushed her forward. She stumbled but never lost her footing.

"I hear your looking for me" retorted Y/N

The man held up the flower and sure enough the spots appeared.

"Well, well, quite a beauty aren't you"

"I don't like to brag" replied Y/N with a sarcastic smile.

"Humour? I hate that in a women, but then again your not a women, are you?"

"Depends on who you ask I suppose" said Y/N 

The man punched her in the gut and she fell to her knees, clutching her stomach.

"You know, that's no way to treat a lady"

"Shut up!" shouted the man

"Right, right you wanna hear the sirens I get it"

"What sirens?"

"The sirens on the cop cars, you can't hear them?" said Y/N looking up at the man.

"Your bluffing"

"Am I?" said Y/N

Suddenly sirens could be heard approaching the station.

"How could they know?" asked one of the men

"You"

"Duh, you know trucks have radios too" said Y/N with a smile

"You BITCH!"

"I aim to please"

The boss put his gun to her head. "Get up, NOW!"

Y/N got up and was guided down the stairs, stopping to look at Bobby. Once they were down the stairs on the apparatus floor the police busted in.

"Nobody move or she dies" said the man who had his arm round her neck and a gun to her temple. 

"Take the shot Athena" said Y/N to Athena who was in front of the small army of police.

Y/N gave Athena a look, seconds later she elbowed him and ducked out of the way. The boss aimed his gun at Y/N and the police were forced to shoot him, the others surrendered.

Hours later (Athena's house)

"Are you alright?" asked Athena

"Yeah Moon will rise soon that's all"

"Harry woke up with yellow eyes this morning, does that mean...?"

"Yes, Harry is a Wolfblood"

"Hey what you ladies talking about?" asked Bobby who had walked out into the garden with Michael.

"Nothing much" replied Athena

"Food!" shouted Bobby who was manning the grill. The group came out of the house and sat at the table.

"Shouldn't you be going Y/N?" asked Hen

"I have decided to stay with Harry tonight"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'd hate for him to be alone especially the first time"

"Thank you Y/N" said Athena

"MOM!" exclaimed Harry as he ran outside with black veins all over his hands and neck.

Y/N looked at her own hands and saw they too were turning black.

"Its alright Harry, Its normal" explained Y/N. She got out of her seat and held out her hand to Harry. "Come on, the woods are literally across the road"

"I don't wanna leave"

"Harry, Its not safe to stay here, especially tonight" explained Y/N. Harry looked at his mom.

"Its okay honey, we'll be here in the morning, waiting" 

The whole group walked through the house and out the front door. Y/N and Harry stood on the edge of the woods and watched the moon.

Suddenly Harry and Y/N disappeared and a adult wolf alongside a cub was in their place.

The wolves looked at the group who al looked stunned and shocked.

Y/N bowed her head and an into the woods but stopped when she realised Harry wasn't following her. Y/N howled as if to tell him to follow, he looked back at Athena then ran off to join Y/N.

They howled together and ran off into the woods where they would stay until sunrise. Harry was entering a whole new world, luckily he had someone to help guide him through it, someone who understood.
