Vicky POV

I was walking through corridors of my high school. Winter High.

It was my second year in this High school and I didn't manage to find any friends what so ever. Honestly probably it's because they are all snobs and selfish pricks that don't see anyone else apart from themselves.

My dad has his own business so basically you could say I am rich, that's why I am in this high school for rich kids.

I kept my books to my chest as the light blue cotton fabric of my jumper brushed against them while I walked. I also had a snowy white skirt on with white heals.

I had my hair down as usual. Unfortunately my brother was a year above so he was in a different side of school since its split by years, so I can't even hang out with him.

I use to have a friend who I use to trust a lot. He was my dad's friends son.

Unfortunately he went to a different school, so I am all alone in this school. 

I was close to the cafeteria where I would get my food and go back to my dorm, however I was yanked back by someone strong and I fell to the ground.

"Ouch what the--" I was cut off when I looked up and saw Jake, the nightmare of this school. Basically the most spoiled kid here.

"Oh hey Vic Vic. You're so dumb and clumsy it's unreal you freak!" He yelled into my face and I flinched then he grabbed my arm harshly and pulled me up and against a wall.

I winced. I felt so much fear it was unreal.

The only reason why he called me a freak was because I was born with powers not like anyone else.

So basically it was weird for people around me.

"You'll eventually kill someone with your powers you stupid monster!" He yelled, hitting me in the stomach which was so painful I started to sob. The only person that understood me and never looked at me differently because of my powers was him. My  childhood friend. Thomas Nekton.

A bit of the wall froze as my powers slipped and Jake dropped me kicking me to the wall.

"Don't freeze me you little freak!" He yelled once again and then runned away.

I sat there sobbing into my knees. I hated being alone and I hated everything. I needed Thomas but I knew he was far away from me. So all I could do was only sit and cry.

Blood was dripping down my mouth but I managed to wipe it with my hand.

Suddenly I heard someone running towards the direction I was sitting at. And the person pulled me up which made me flinched closing my eyes, prepared for any impact.

"Vicky? Hey don't worry it's just me" I heard a male voice say softly to me, and when I opened my eyes I saw him.

It was Thomas.

"T-Thomas? Thomas! Oh my God it's you! It's really you!" I looked at him in shock and I hugged him grabbing onto his shirt sobbing into his shoulder.

He hugged me back, embracing me and kissing the top of my head to calm me down while swinging back and forth.

"Who did this to you?" He asked looking at me.

"Well I got bullied and I am alone all the time and.. I lost control over my power... I hate myself! I am so weak!" I yelled looking down in shame.

He took my hand up and put it between both of his hands. I looked up at him and he smiled in a way it made me slightly blush.

Not gonna lie but I do have a slight crush on him but he seems to act like I am just a sister fugure to him not like a girl who could be his girlfriend.

"You're not weak and please don't hate yourself. I know it's hard to be the only one with powers but that's what makes you special. Remember that." He said softly while putting my hand down.

I smiled at him but then I realised  that he's here when he shouldn't be.

"Thank you. But how did you get here anyway?" I asked looking at him and we started walking.

"Well my dad decided that he wanted to keep his kids close to his best friends kids so instead of putting me in a private school with only like 5 people not even kidding, he placed me here." Thomas said smiling at me warmly.

"That's amazing! At least I won't be alone anymore!" I said exited and he laughed.

Few months later.

It has been the greatest months in this school for me so far. Basically because I had my childhood friend with me in the same school which was amazing.

There was a snow ball coming up and me and Thomas decided to go together on it as friends of course.

I specifically bot a dress for that ball because I really don't have a lot of fancy dresses.

I already had my hair done in curls and I did a slight make up to go with it. I finally put the dress on. It was dark blue with silver designs and it was strapless.

I put some silver heals on and I looked at myself in the mirror. Yep not that great looking, this is just great.

I quickly went out of my room, grabbing my phone, putting it into my silver purse, and running out the door. I told Thomas to wait on me in the actual hall where the snow ball is going to take place, since he I knew he would get ready, so of course he agreed to wait on me there. 

I quickly runned in, into the hall and there was already a lot of people in there.

Sudden anxious feeling came upon me as I saw many people who hated me, which was of course Jake being one of them.

I looked around to find Thomas and then I felt multiple eyes staring right at me, and it was none other than the crowd.

"Wow look at her dress" a girl whispered and I blushed in embarrassment but I was determined to find Thomas and finally I found him.

I tapped his shoulder as his back was facing towards me.

Once he turned around he smiled at me and before he could say anything, sudden shock came upon his face.

"Wow..you look..wow" he said, looking at me while rubbing the back of his neck.

I blushed harder than I ever did before.

"Oh thank you" I said smiling while looking down. Then a slow song came on as everyone went to dance with their partners to it.

"Uh...want to dance?" Thomas asked looking away and I giggled.

"Of course" I replied and took his hand and took him onto the dance floor. He placed his hands on my waist while I placed my hands on his shoulders and we danced slowly which was so relaxing.

We didn't really speak just glanced at each other from time to time, then looking away shyly. Wonder why he was shy, he's usually only shy around new people.

"Eh Vicky?" Thomas said as he turned to face me. I did the same thing, facing him with a slight smile.

"Yeah-?" I asked, but before I could finish, a soft and warn pair of lips crashed into mine. I was stunned but I didn't hesitate to kiss him back.

I wish this moment could last forever but I knew it wouldn't, but I sure enjoyed every bit of it. We finally pulled back and he looked at me with his loving eyes and we leaned our foreheads in, placing them against each other, as we just slightly laughed, and enjoyed the night ahead of us.

Well I did enjoy writing that. Also this is linked into my story Power of Lightning as this is kinda the background on how Thomas and Vicky know each other in the book.
