Never enough (tony stark)
I'm trying to hold my breath
Let it stay this way
Can't let this moment end
You set off a dream in me
Getting louder now
Can you hear it echoing?
Take my hand
Will you share this with me?
'Cause darling without you
"What are you thinking about?" Tony's voice broke through my thoughts. I raised my eyes to meet his and found chocolate brown staring back at me. A small smile graced his lips. I shrugged.
"It's nothing Tone." I couldn't help the small smile that fell into place on my own face. He gave me a look as if to ask if I was sure. "Seriously Tony. It's nothing." Tony moved closer to me. So close that our noses were touching.
"I want to believe you. Honestly I do. But...." Tony reached up and brushed some hair out of my eyes and put his hand on my cheek. His thumb rubbed small circles onto my cheek bone. "The look in your eyes says different." He quirked the side of his mouth, the way he did when there was something that didn't make sense to him. "And so does the line between your eyebrows. So spill." I looked back at him and sighed.
"Sometimes I feel like being with you is never enough for me." Tony's eyebrows shot up. "I feel like I always need to be around you. It's like you have become my world Tones. I can't think of any better way to put it." Tony pursed his lips as he smiled and i went to cover my face with my hands. "Its not funny tony."
"I'm not laughing." He said seriously. "Look at me I'm not laughing. Im being serious for once." I looked up at him and saw that he was in fact being completely serious. "You've become my whole world too (Y/N)."
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me
"TONY!" I screamed as he nearly fell through the ceiling to Stark Industries.
"PUSH THE BUTTON!" His voice carried down to me. I felt the tears prick my eyes and shook my head even though he couldn't see me.
"BUT YOU'LL DIE!" I could just imagine Tony rolling his eyes.
"TRUST ME! I LOVE YOU!" I wiped away any tears that had formed. "PUSH THE BUTTON!"
"I LOVE YOU TOO TONES!" I slammed my hand down on the button and booked it out of the plant before the arc reactor blew. Once I had reached what I thought was a safe distance, I turned to look up at the roof. I could just make out Obi's suit falling into the building but I couldn't see what had happened to Tony. "TONY!" I screamed as I attempted to get through the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division agents that had instantly swarmed the area.
"Ma'am/sir, you have to stand back. This is an official Strategic Homeland...." someone was saying.
"Yeah yeah yeah. Get Coulson. Tell him Tony Stark's wife wants to know what happened to him." I cut the guy off. I attempted to push past him when I spotted Coulson. "COULSON! WHERE'S TONY?" I yelled.
"Mrs./Mr. Stark. Tony is alright. He's onroute to a hospital now. If you'll just follow me, we can meet him there." Coulson waved me through and helped me into the waiting black car.
"Thank you." I said as the car took off. We arrived at the hospital just as Tony was coming back from getting X-Rays done. "Tony!" I ran into the room that he had just gone into and nearly collided with him when I hugged him.
"(Y/N)!" He hugged me back just as tightly and pressed a kiss to my temple. "We did it." He whispered into my hair as the agents all left us alone.
"We did Tones." I smiled into his chest. "We did."
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me
Never enough
Never enough
Never enough
For me
For me
For me
I watched as Morgan ran through the house, closely followed by Tony. She was wearing one of Tony's Iron Man helmets and he was attempting to get it back from her.
"You have to catch me daddy!" She yelled as she started to climb the stairs. Tony paused just long enough to give me a kiss before sprinting up the stairs after her.
"Trust me sweetheart I will." Tony yelled back and I could hear her little squeal, signalling that Tony had caught her. I looked up from the book I was reading on the couch to see Tony carrying Morgan back down the stairs, Iron Man helmet tucked under his arm. "I got her." The smile on both of their faces were so similar it was almost scary. Tony carried her into the kitchen and I saw them sneaking out with ice cream a few minutes later. I waited ten minutes before putting my book away and getting comfortable on the couch again. Tony sat down next to me a few minutes later. "I can't believe how smart she is." A kiss to the side of my head conveyed how much he actually loved the two of us.
"She is your daughter Tones." I teased as he pulled me close to him. "Don't act so surprised."
"I know. But she is your daughter too. You have to take some credit for her too." I giggled as I knew where Tony was going. "Say 12% of the credit." I smacked his chest.
"You say that all the time Tony!" I laughed. "What is it with you and 12%?" Tony laughed and kissed me with as much passion as he could. "I also know what is going through your head." Tony gave me a small smile.
"We have to help them." Tony and I said together.

"Tony. Tony. Look at me." I put my hand on Tony's cheek. His eyes slowly made their way to lock onto mine. He gave me a small smile.
"(Y/N/N)." He whispered. I gave him a smile back.
"You can rest now." I whispered. He gave me a weak chuckle. "I mean it Tones. You can." He nodded and a tear made its way down his cheek. I wiped it away and let my hand rest on his cheek. "I love you Tones." Tears started to make their way down my cheeks.
"I love you too (Y/N/N)." Tony whispered. "Tell Morgan...." He stopped like it physically pained him to finish the sentence. But considering what Tony had just done, it made perfect sense. "Tell Morgan I love her 3000." I nodded and leaned in to kiss Tony one last time. "Take good care of her for me (Y/N). I love you so...." Tony trailed off and I let out the sob that had been threatening to rip out of me since Tony had gotten the infinity stones.

All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me
"Tony.
"TONY!"
Never enough
Never, never
Never enough
Never, never
Never enough
For me
For me
For me
For me
