The Dollmaker

Horror? I guess?

TW: Talk about sexism, discrimination against women, violence, gore, horror.

"What've you got for me this time, huh?" Tech asked as he walked into a crime scene with a detective.

"You're not gonna like the sight," the detective said.

They walked up to the victim. It was a girl. She had been placed on a stand...dead. Her mouth was filled with a hard substance and she was dressed up like a doll.

Tech put on gloves and examined the poor girl. He poked at the substance in her mouth.

"Hmm...hard...most likely poured down her throat as a liquid and hardened in her throat and mouth, chocking her," Tech said.

"You're not in the slightest bit...horrified?" The detective asked.

"Oh trust me, I am," Tech said. "Dolls are not my cup of tea."

A police officer came up. "Sir, we've got two more victims."

The detective looked at Tech.

"Detective, I want an autopsy on all of the victims...I need you to check for connections between the 3 victims. I want to try and determine who is going to be next," Tech said.

The detective nodded and set off to complete his orders. He watched as they put the woman in a bag and zipped it up before putting it in a car.

———

Tech walked through the CTPD towards the detective.

"Anything?" He asked.

"No," the detective replied. "There was no connection between any of the victims."

"There has to be something," Tech concluded, looking through the results.

"We did find something about the attacker though," the detective said.

"What?" Tech asked.

"It's a Yiga," the detective said.

"Check if any of the victims had a connection to the Yiga," Tech ordered.

The detective nodded and went off. An hour passed before he came back.

"All of the victims were connected to the Yiga. One was a kidnapped tailor, one was an ex-member and one was a spy that was kidnapped," the detective said. "All Yiga, prisoner or not, are filed under either M and then a number, or F and then a number."

"I'm guessing it has to do with their sex?" Tech asked.

The detective nodded. "The tailor's number was F-846, the ex-member's number was F-849 and the spy's number was F-852. Still random...how do we know which woman they'll choose next?"

Tech repeated the numbers a couple of times before it hit him. The invisible lightbulb above Tech's head flickered on. "Oh! The numbers are going up by 3! See?"

The detective saw. "Now we just have to figure out who's F-855. We don't have access to their list...we'd have to hack in. That could be hard."

"Pfft. Please...when it comes to technology and security...the Yiga are downright dumb," Tech said, sitting down at the computer. "Plus...I'm an excellent hacker."

The detective watched Tech work.

"Ah ha!" Tech said. "Christie Loopa. That's who's next."

"Then let's go!" The detective said, calling his men over.

———

They soon made it to Christie's house. It was a mess and Christie was nowhere to be seen.

"Damnit!" The detective cursed. "We missed her!"

Tech had already gotten his datapad out and had hacked into the security cameras. They watched Christie be taken by a male Yiga. The Yiga covered the woman's mouth and stripped her of her clothes, leaving her only in her undergarments.

"So pretty," he said, touching her inappropriately. "You'd make a great doll."

Christie screamed as the Yiga carried her away. They wanted to see more, but that was when the Yiga threw a dagger at the camera, busting it.

"Talk about sexist," the detective said.

"Discrimination against women is not a usual offence performed by the Yiga Clan," Tech said. "Who's next?"

"Kathy Jul," the detective said. "She's already dead."

"So then who's F-861?" Tech asked.

"Crysta Loli," The detective replied.

———

As the police had suspected, the Yiga went after Crysta next. They were able to protect her, but the Yiga disappeared before they could intercept him.

Tech looked at his watch and sighed. He got away. Luckily, Crysta was saved. He walked down the road, the moonlight spreading his light down. He heard a soft crying sound.

He knelt down to the figure crying. Due to his annoyance, he didn't register that it was a Yiga trap.

"Can I help you?" Tech asked.

The figure turned around and activated a shock staff and stuck it against Tech's chest. Tech gritted his teeth as electricity coursed through him. The figure took the time to cuff Tech with Power Dampening Cuffs. He then turned into the Yiga Tech had been searching for.

The Yiga grabbed Tech by the collar and threw him into a van. Tech grunted as his head roughly connected with the side of the van. His body bumped against another body. When he looked at the figure his eyes went wide with fear.

"Omega."

They both were then knocked unconscious.

———

The detective was looking desperately for Omega. He then came across an abandoned Yiga branch that was a warehouse on the map. He traced his finger along the map back to the station. It was an hours trip.

He called his squad over and they set off.

———

Tech awoke with a start. He realised he was strapped to a tilted back vertical bed. He was standing, tilted back, strapped to a bed. Great. He also noticed that he was wearing nothing but boxer shorts and a necklace that dolls wore clasped around his neck. Opposite to him was Omega, in the same position as him, in her undergarments with a dolls necklace clasped around her neck. The only difference was Omega had a tube taped in her mouth.

The Yiga, mask off, circled around Tech.

"Wow. I have the mighty Seeker in my clutches!" He said. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Julian, AKA: The Dollmaker!"

"Let my sister go!" Tech ordered.

"Hmm...no," Julian said.

Tech struggled against his restraints, trying to utilise his power, but the cuffs were still on him. Crap.

"I've never made a male doll before, but I'm sure I have some clothes for you!" Julian said. "But isn't this lovely?!"

Julian went to mix the mixture he was making, presumably for Tech. Tears began leaking from Omega's eyes. She struggled against her restraints, but to no avail.

"Stay calm, sis," Tech said.

He yelped as Julian strapped his forehead in place and put a tube in his mouth. Julian poured the newly brewed mixture into a jug like the mixture meant for Omega. Julian attached the end of the tubes to a bottle hanging from the ceiling with an opening.

Julian poured the liquid into each bottle and then, unclamped each clamp to let the liquid pour into the tubes.

Omega wriggled and yanked against her restraints. Tech did the same.

"It takes longer if you struggle," Julian said in a sing-song voice.

Tears brimmed in Tech's eyes as the liquid got further and further up the tube. He was never afraid of death! Why now? Was it his sister? Was it the fact that he didn't want to be dressed up and posed like a doll and situated somewhere for the police to find? Was it because he didn't want to slowly suffocate? Why?!

Julian pulled out a suite for Tech—something that a doll would wear—and a dress for Omega. Tech struggled more and more at his restraints as the liquid reached his mouth. He cried out as the mixture entered his mouth, same with Omega.

Suddenly, two gunshots echoed through the room. One shot hit the bottle that held Omega's mixture and other hit the bottle that held Tech's. The force of the bottles shattering yanked the tubes out of Tech and Omega's mouths.

Phee ran over to take off the Power Dampening Cuffs as Tech tried to breathe. The mixture was beginning to set in his throat. He used his fire power to warm himself up, melting the liquid. Once he was free of his restraints, he fell onto his hands and knees and coughed up the mixture.

Omega however, was not so fortunate. The mixture had already mostly set in her throat. Tech got up, his legs like jelly, picked up Omega, who was choking, and ran as fast as lightning (literally) to the hospital.

When Omega was in steady and capable hands, Tech realised that he was still struggling to breathe and he felt lightheaded. He managed to get out a small "help" before everything went black.

———

Tech awoke with a start again. This time, he was in a hospital bed. Phee, who was sitting next to him in a chair, started to stir.

"Tech! You're awake!" She exclaimed.

"Yes..." Tech said. "What happened?"

"You passed out. Turns out you still had a little bit of that mixture in your throat...you're okay now. Omega is fine too," Phee said.

Tech got out of bed and looked outside the window. He didn't feel sick and weak anymore.

"And the Dollmaker?" Tech asked.

"In prison. Where he should be!" Phee said.

Tech was about to run and hug Phee when a rumbling erupted from the ground. He looked out the window towards Degla Village in the Tabantha Region. The buildings had started to collapse. He realised Mariam, Hunter's wife, worked there...and was probably still there.

"Mariam!" Tech said before rushing off before Phee could stop him.

Phee looked outside the window.

"Oh no."

———

Mariam screamed and ran, dodging debris and more. She tried to get her coworkers out of the building safely. She cried out as a piece of roof fell on top of her, trapping her. No one noticed.

"HELP!" Mariam cried. "SOMEBODY PLEASE!"

She continued screaming for another minute or so before she saw a figure run in. It was Hunter.

"Mariam!" He cried, moving true debris. He pushed a large piece off of her and helped her up. "Are you hurt?"

"No," Mariam said.

"Go! I'll be right behind you!" Hunter said as the building was on the verge of collapsing.

Mariam nodded and ran. She ran out and hugged her mother who was waiting for her outside. She screamed as the building collapsed.

"NO! HUNTER!"

She struggled against her mother's grasp, who was only trying to protect her. Mariam gasped as Tech zoomed past her and in the building.

Tech looked around and heard faint coughing. He saw his dear brother trapped under the debris.

"I'm not gonna make it," he coughed out.

"Don't say that," Tech said as he lifted the debris. "You're gonna be just fi—"

Tech gasped, cutting his sentence short as he looked at the piece of metal protruding from Hunter's chest. Based on the amount of blood that had pooled underneath Hunter and the fact that the piece of metal that was sticking out of Hunter was covered in blood, Tech concluded that the metal had pierced him from the back and gone straight through him.

"Hang on," Tech said, beginning to pick him up.

Hunter tried to protest, but all that came out was a horrible cough, causing blood to dribble out of his mouth. He groaned as Tech pulled his up, the piece of metal coming with him. Tech had broken the piece off from where it had connected (as Hunter fell on top of the metal) and took it with him, as taking the metal out would most certainly kill him due to blood loss.

Tech rushed him to the hospital, and the doctors took Hunter away.

He only hoped he'd survive.

———

Hunter had survived...somehow. He has had internal bleeding and a severed spine. As well as punctured organs. He's on the mend now...luckily. The earthquake was caused by natural things, so it was not deliberate. Degla Village is being repaired.

Tech had gotten lots of rest, and time to spend time with his brother. He knew that now he hated dolls...forever.

Trivia:
Degla Village is Cisco and Clara's home in 'Clara'.

The Dollmaker is from Arrow, except it's a different person.
