"Hey, can you promise me something?" Annie asks from beside me as we watched the stars from the grass field.

I chuckled slightly but responded anyways. "You know I can't really keep promises."

"Please?" Annie faced me before she pleaded, giving me her signature puppy dog pout, one she knew I could never deny.

"Sure..." I gave in fairly quickly because, well, it was Annie after all.

Annie smiled at me before standing up and towering over me. I just watched her with curiosity as she sat on my lap facing me.

"Promise me you'll smile more..." Annie asked as she pulled up the edges of my lips and made a smile.

This is my girl... I don't know what I'd do without her. "...only around you."

Annie pushed me back with a kiss, my arms behind me were the only thing keeping us upright. The kiss was hard at first but it softened as we both melted into it. Her lips always fitted mine like a jigsaw puzzle.

As we parted for air, I was already missing the cola flavor from her lips. Annie rested her head on mine as we both breathe heavily.

"That's..." Annie started, still panting a small bit before smiling at me. "...good enough for me."

I felt a smile form on my face as I looked up at her as she sparkled in the moonlight. My Annie was amazing, and if she wanted me to smile more, I will do so, just for her.
