It's the evening light
Shining through the curtains
The time before the night
When everything is golden

I woke up to her humming a melody. She was only humming but the serenity was there and it was calming. I spotted the light slipping through the windows, probably the reason why she woke up in the first place.

You're sitting on the chair
Wrapped inside a bedsheet
Playing with your hair
Watching people on the high street

She looked so cute bundled up. I could tell she was wearing my dress shirt from the night before even though the blanket covered most of her body. I spotted a mug by the windowsill and slightly chuckled. It's always her and tea, sometimes I think she's married to it. 

If I wished myself a superpower
I would make this moment last for hours

She finally looked in my direction and smiled before beckoning me over.  I slipped on my pants before walking over to her and hugged her from behind. I reached over her, stole the tea, and took a sip while she tried to grab it from me. I placed the mug down and kissed her.

If I had my will, time would just standstill
Wait for me until I find some magic film

Even with the taste of peppermint on my lips, I could taste a hit of cherry off of hers and I loved it. She was immaculate, absolutely flawless.

To take a photograph and live inside

I wish we could stay like this.

The sun is going down
Your skin is like a painting
The light is perfect now
But I can feel it changing

We watched the sunset and I could feel the touch of her skin against mine. Sparks were all I could say, even after being together for so long, I could always feel sparks when I'm with her. I knew from then on that whatever happens, I'll always feel this way with her.

Kids are probably soon
Don't get me wrong, I'm ready
But will I know what to do
When we're no longer two
When us means more than me and you

I couldn't help but think of a future we'd have together. We'd have a kid running around the house chasing the dog while we'd watch from the side before our kid would drag us along to join them. It wouldn't be just the two of us anymore, and it would be okay.

If I wished myself a superpower
I would make this moment last for hours

She planted a kiss on my nose, pulling me out of my daydream. She was standing on the chair now, with her arms wrapped around my neck, while my arms were around her waist holding her steady. I quickly lifted her and spun us around before crashing on the bed.

If I had my will, time would just standstill
Wait for me until I find some magic film

She laughed at my immaturity and playfully pushed me over the bed. Gods, I just loved to hear her laugh. I got up and pulled her closer to me as she swaddled her legs around my body.  I looked up and saw her beautiful golden-green eyes sparkling with joy.

To take a photograph and live inside

I wished we would always be this happy.

I need some way to prove that this was real
A memory is not enough
I'm scared that I'll forget the way it feels
To be young and in love

I wouldn't want to overlook moments like this. The little and heartfelt moments because they are the ones that remind me of how in love I am with her. I don't want it to be a blur seeing as the small details always make the big differences. I always want to remember that cause it brings me back to her.

Let me stay right here
Just a moment longer

We laid on the bed and she snuggled into my arms. Her scent, lavenders, filled up the room and I wouldn't want it any other way. I held her tight not wanting her to disappear and she responded by burying her head in my chest. 

The picture is so clear
Please let this last forever

I wish I could be hers for eternity.
