The Adventures of A Cat [Story + COMPETITION!]
The animal could feel the sun baking her in its nice warmth until of her multicolored skin. Ah, the wonderful feeling it brings the cat upon her body being already warmer than the human's average temperature. Recie curled her paws more into her body as she relaxed as she basked in the sun.
But, this feeling was soon interrupted by a new sense kicking in. She could feel something brush against her silky smooth fur. It reappeared around the rest of her body, and normally she would love pets, but now was not that time.
Another sense intruded into her peaceful slumber as the hand had been moved away. Recie could smell something, something that was not her own scent. A bit more of inhaling said scent soon revealed what it was. Green apple, with a hint of vanilla along with a hint of pencils that were used during school work and drawing.
Recie knew that smell from anywhere, for it was unmistakable. What had slightly covered up her own scent, was replaced by her owner's.
This was usually somewhat fine with the cat, but Recie has just bathed herself merely 45 minutes ago, and was greatly enjoying her nap.
Emerald green eyes soon opened up, as the took in their surroundings. The wall that opened and had a magic see through area had the white obstructers slightly pulled up to let in some of the sun.
Recie also unfolded from her usually loaf and stretched out her legs, since she always had to be the nimble cat she is. Well sometimes nimble. Recie has fallen off things a good bit, some involving accidentally rolling down a single stair. Recie was clumsy, but of course the feline did not know about that, with all the gibberish the humans were talking about.
The cat then pulled one of her white paws up to her face and started moving her tongue over the appendage then started to rub it on top of head and rest of her body before the smell had finally come off.
Recie once more let out a silent yawn as stretched her back up and moved her body in different way to stretch herself.
The cat then walked around the living room, taking in the many places that have been explored plenty of times by her. Except for what the humans had called a, "Cat tree." They had replaced her tower where she looked down at all her subjects, i.e. pens on the coffee table that she pushed off the table. They had replaced her regal palace with a different one, that Recie was still not certain of So she did not spend much time on.
Recie was bored of the living room and decided to head upstairs, but not before making a new detour to the kitchen where the feline quickly grabbed a few nom-noms. The calico then turned the corner and headed up the carpeted staircase that lead to where her owner would be located.
Recently Kayla had transferred to online school, meaning that she is home basically all the time. Kayla's dad was going back to college and doesn't work anymore, so the two of them are at the house basically all the time now. This made Recie extremely happy because that meant more pets and they could take care of all her itchies in the middle of the day. So many itchies that Recie could not reach.
Recie was soon on the top landing of the staircase and was officially on the 2nd floor. Recie turned to the sewing room and hopped on top of her favorite swivel chair for a small while and scratched at it a bit before getting bored once more and went to the other side of the floor where her owner was residing.
Normally the feline would go to Kayla's father first if she was bored but he was currently at the gym, meaning that it was just the cat and Kayla. Recie didn't really like, nor hate Kayla. She saw Kayla's parents as masseuse and laps to sit on. Kayla took care of her food and would always steal her poop. Humans are very weird, stealing cat's poop. Recie was a tad bit suspicious of that, but would not question it.
Recie slinked into Kayla's room that she was denied access to for about a few days, and noticed some major differences. The walls seemed to be a different color, and there was less things to jump on. The white bed was no longer there but was instead replaced by a larger mattress box spring set, and the only furniture there was a bookshelf, desk, and a nightstand. This was doing Recie a confuse.
None of the less Recie saw her somewhat beloved owner tucked under the covers of her bed as she was a typing at her magical box that made noises. Upon hopping on the bed, Recie noticed plenty of differences. The bed was larger, and somewhat softer and more comfy. The bed was warm, which was a result from all the quilts and blankets on it, but most notably was the new quilt that Recie was not used to, since that quilt had just been given to Kayla for her 13th birthday.
Recie at first was not certain about this bed, and walked closer towards her human, exploring her new surroundings. Recie let out a slight chirp noise as she poked her nose around and sniffed things out. Eventually there was a hand on the feline's head, scritching at all the itchy spots on recie's head.
Recie decided to lay down on the quilt and let out a slight purring noise. She saw Kayla smile at her as she continued to let one hand pet the cat, as another kept typing on her phone. Kayla brought her hand down and put a small kiss on her cat as Recie thanked her by licking Kayla's nose.
"Happy birthday sweetie."
Woah, was this an update bomb? Woah! Did Shadows, CYDM, and oneshot get updated? Wow! And is that a competition thing I see in the title? Oh my!
Hello my famalam and I am hosting yet another competition. Special congratulations to our winner last time, your one shot is in the works. This time this competition is being held for quite possibly one of the most important people in my famalam, Recie. The cat that has been in just about every story of mine, and always being there and being quite possibly the most loved character in my books. Her birthday was on the 2nd, and yes I am fully aware that today is the 3rd, and I wanted to celebrate it by holding yet another competition.
The competition this time is to write a story about Recie, and her adventures or something of that sort. One shots only please for now, unless if I want you to make more of it and after the competition feel free to continue it. You can just plop the oneshot in a book of yours/one shot collection/make a whole book thing for it, and just give me a little tag in there.
Or if your very self conscious about your writing or English is not your first language or anything like that, don't sweat it! Just DM/PM me the story and copy and paste it in there. If you don't win then don't worry, I won't even mention it.
The prize will be basically a fully customizable one-shot, with a few exceptions. I do not do mature, nor LGBT+, I also do not really do stories about irl people in a x reader format. Please do respect that. Like if it's an ego story I'll include the youtubers, but the youtubers will not be the love interest, okay?
Also why this prize is so much more special than requests is because of the fact that I don't accept requests. The deadline will be May 3rd. Please keep in mind that I live in EST time. Winners will probs be announced on the 5th.
Also as an added note this Friday I'm going to see TobyMac in concert so that's super exciting.
