Percy bounded down the stairs, taking them three at a time, before jumping the last five and skidding to a stop in the kitchen.
"IT'S HALLOWEEN!" He gasped. Most of the others looked at him in amusement, while Nico just ignored them all.
"You only realised that now? It's like 2:00 in the afternoon." Thalia said, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Cut me some slack!" Percy grumbled.
"Yeah, Thalia," Nico said from his shadowy corner, "it's not his fault he has low intelligence." Everyone but the said person started laughing at this. Percy just rolled his eyes.
"Haha, very funny. Can we please go trick-or-treating?" He pleaded hopefully.
"You need a costume, though," Jason pointed out. Percy grinned. He took riptide out his pocket, throwing it in the air and catching it skilfully.
"I'll be going as," he struck a pose. "Me!"
The group stared at him for a few seconds, before bursting into laughter. Even Nico joined in.
"Oh my gods, Percy. You are so funny sometimes!" Hazel giggled, clutching her side.
Percy rolled his eyes again.
"Fine. I'll go by myself, and you won't get ANY CANDY from me!" He stormed down the hall, muttering things under his breath. There was the clear sound of the front door slamming. The group looked at each other again, before collapsing in a fit of giggles.
Wiping a tear of laughter away, Thalia said, "we need to make sure he never grows up."
There was a chorus of "agreed" and "definitely" from the rest of the group.
