JACKSON'S POV

"Y/N!"

I woke up with beads of sweat on my forehead, eyes eagerly looking for y/n.

As if on cue she entered the room with a beautiful smile on her face which faded upon seeing me.

"Jackson? Are you alright?" She panicked a bit and held my shoulders. My breathing which was heavy and uneven a while ago became normal.

"Ye-yes." She instantly hugged me.

"Don't worry. Nightmare?" I nodded and she patted my back soothingly till I was okay, "Everthing will be alright. I am here."

"Take a refreshing bath. I'll be in the kitchen." Her smile was back as she pecked my cheek.

Nightmare..

After taking a long bath, I looked for y/n in the kitchen.

"y/n? Baby?" But no response came. I searched around the house until I found a crumpled piece of paper near the front door.

Your beautiful wife is with me. Don't worry Officer Wang, I will take good care of her ;)
She is truly an art. An art that I would love to explore.

"THAT BASTARD!"

I quickly took my guns and loaded them, hiding them wherever possible. Hurriedly I called for a back-up and went to that asshole. All the while I was praying for her to be safe.

Long time back, I gifted a necklace to my y/n with a GPS tracker. This should come in handy.

I attacthed my phone to the car and followed the blue dot on the phone which indicated y/n's location. A few police officers blocked me for overspeeding but I didn't even care to see explain them. I can deal with them later.

After an hour of rough driving I reached the destination.

Y/N...

It was an unoccupied house. But a few of his men were there outside guarding the place. I hid behind the bushes and their cars to prevent myself from getting caught.

I have to save her no matter what. Just hang on a little bit more my love.

Sneakily enough I got behind one of the muscular guys to give him a choker. I did this to a couple of guys before I made my way inside the house. They all are muscular but not experienced or trained.

Sliding against the wall I entered the house and looked around carefully to look for more guards. Just then..

Someone hit the back of my head. I managed to turn around and saw him. Then eveything went black before I saw a smirk plastered on his face.

I woke up to someone poking me with something sharp. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around to get a clear view.

But everything stopped when I saw y/n in front of me. Her wrists and ankles were tied together with a cloth covering a mouth.

She tried to call for me. Her swollen eyes were filled with more tears as she saw me helpless.

"Y/n!" I jerked myself forward only to be held back by the ropes that tied me to the chair.

"Wait Officer Wang. Not so fast."

I didn't even notice that JB stood next to me until he leaned his face closer to mine and pulled my hair making me arch my head back.

"What do you want?!" I couldn't control my anger and gritted my teeth. He simply walked around me leisurely with the tip of his gun in my direction.

"One life for another. Remeber the day you killed my brother."

"He was punished for him crimes!"

He smacked the back of my head with the gun, "who are you to punish someone?! You took someone precious away from me. I'll do the same officer Wang. Just you see."

"Don't you dare touch her with your filthy hands!!"

"Getting protective, aren't we?" He said with a smirk while making his way towarde her.

"I WILL KILL YOU!"

He scoffed in my direction before caressing y/n's cheek. She was scared. She shook her head to avoid his touch but she couldn't.

"FIGHT LIKE A MAN YOU BASTARD!" I tried my best to get out of the chair but couldn't. I couldn't bare to see her like that. I promised her that I would always protect her no matter what. I have to do something.

"You are in my property. Lower you voice." He motioned me to be quiet and again went for her.

Her eyes were pleading me to do something. Her muffled sobs were the only thing I could hear. I mouthed a "sorry" to her.

I felt so useless. So helpless.

He lowered himself to place a kiss on her neck. "Yah! Stay away from her!" Her muffled cries were getting louder but the laughs of his men dominated it.

I closed my eyes shut and twisted my wrists again and again to get out of the ropes. Luck was on my side, I succeeded but gladly they were all too busy to notice that.

I took my gun from my back pocket and carefully attached a sniper to it. Without another thought I started firing my gun and ended up killing most of them.

JB saw me approaching him and y/n. He got alert and in one swift moment he was ready to shoot me dead.

We started firing at each other. I was being careful not to hurt y/n. She was trying to hold herself together.

Yes y/n! You are a strong woman.

I shot a bullet at his gun which made him drop it instantly.

"Aah! You!" His eyes were full of rage as he attacked me with his bare hands.

I dodged him as my gun fell out of my hands. We were struggling with our fight so I pushed him a little farther away to regain myself.

Unfortunately he fell on his gun. I noticed the situation and looked for my gun as well. But it was too late.

"Goodbye Officer Wang." He shot the bullet.

"Jackson!" I heard y/n's voice before shutting my eyes close ready to take the bullet. It was too late to move.

"Aahh.." I opened my eyes quickly upon hearing a loud gasp.

Y/n was facing me with her body arched forward and her head rolled back with widened eyes.

Y/n took the bullet for me.

She slowly fell in my arms as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Y/n.." I softly called out her name. My hand reached for her cheek. I was losing myself.

"Y/N!!!" I took my gun and started shooting aimlessly at him as tears left my eyes uncontrolably.

He fell on the floor with a loud thud but that didn't stop me from shooting at him till I ran out of bullets. My hands became weak as I threw the gun away and looked at her.

"It will be alright sweetheart. We planned to have our first baby this year. You can't leave me alone with that p-promise."

My tears couldn't stop a bit as they kept on rolling down.

"D-don't cry~" Her voice was cracking.

I quickly wiped my tears with my palm. "See..I'm not crying. Just hold on a bit more."

Seconds later I heard the sirens.

"They are here. You will be healthy again and then I promise we'll visit our parents. They too want to see their grandchild."

"Take care Jackson... I love you." Her hands touched my cheek and dropped instantly. Her body became limp and lifeless in my arms.

"Y/N!" I shouted her name hoping she would come back to me. Please come back baby.

"Y/n!"

I woke up to the sound of alarm as y/n shook my shoulders.

"Jackson? What happened?" Without giving it a second thought I puller her in a hug.

She rubbed my back in a comforting way.
"I am here with you. It's okay. It was just a nightmare."

"Don't leave me. Ever." I was still breathless.

She looked at me as she cupped my face.
"Never." Her smile was there. I calmed myself telling myself that it was just a nightmare. Things are fine. They are fine.

"Go and take a shower. I'll prepare breakfast for you." She gave me another smile and left the room.

Not again.

I followed her to the kitchen and gave her a tight backhug. I was scared to lose her.

"Don't leave my sight."

"But you have to shower. Now go." She was making omelette for us and nudged me to go back.

"Why don't we shower together?" She raised her eyebrows.
"Come on..." I pushed her shoulders in the desired direction.

But something caught my eye.

I saw a reflection of a man with a hoodie covering his face as he quickly disappeared out of my sight.

"Jackson?"

I checked the window but found no one. "Jackson?" Maybe I was hallucinating. The nightmare got me. But still.. I should be careful. I cannot comprise y/n's safety.

"Nothing.." she didn't look convinced so I held her hand and led her to the bathroom before glancing at the window once again. "I can't wait to shower together."

"Yah!" She blushed at my comment momentarily forgetting about what happened before.

I will protect you y/n. No matter what.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

An unindentified man was seeing leaving Jackson's house.

"Lucky bastard." He smirked and left the area.
