New year's eve. Percy was throwing a big party in Poseidon cabin and strangely enough everyone, but Annabeth was invited.

Nico didn't really want to attend the party, but Will had forced him, saying something like "Social interaction is good for you."

Nico groaned as he dragged himself out of bed, he wasn't looking forward to possibly running into Percy so soon. Granted it was months after he'd revealed his feelings for the boy, but to Nico it seemed to have been only yesterday. 

So as the two walked into the cabin, greeted by Percy, Nico could feel a deep blush darkening his cheeks.

Then, always the gentleman, Percy leaned down and kissed both boy's right hand, lingering a little longer on Nico's before meeting his eyes.

"Thanks for coming, snacks and refreshments are over there." He gestured toward a gold out table. "And uhh, have fun." Was all he said, before shooing the two off.

As the night went on, Nico couldn't help but look at Percy, eyes lingering longer than they should.

"Nico?" Will broke him out off his slight trance, "you okay there? You know it's kinda rude to stare at people. Especially their butts."

A blush crept across his face as Nico realized he'd been staring at Percy's ass for a good minute and a half.I

"Right. Sorry." He said, forcing himself to look at his doctor and not his crush since he was ten.

Will laughed a little, "bro I was just messing with you. It's obvious you two are dating."

Nico's has dropped. "W-what do you mean we-we're d-d-dating?"

The smile slowly crept off Will's face, "you mean you and Percy aren't a thing? Well it's obvious you guys are into each other. Why don't you make a move?"

"Because he'll reject me because I'm gay and he's straight and there's just no way in the world he could ever like me back."

"Dude chill out. I can confirm he's not straight and he's totally crushing on you. Plus who could reject someone as awesome as you?"

"Whatever. But I'm not making the first move!"

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Nico turned to Percy, who he happened to be standing next to and kissed him.

When the two pulled away, Nico said. "There. Now we'll be together for the new year. I love you Perseus Jackson."

"I love you too, Nicholas do Angelo."

Then their lips were locked in another kiss, this one more passionate and hungry.

When they finally pulled away again, Percy asked, "Nico, will you be my boyfriend?"

"Yes."

That was easily the best night of both boy's lives.
