Keep Marching on!
A Jolteon stood in a field, looking at his family as they stood away from each other, his heartbreaking as they stood separated, wanting them to be together. "Guys, don't part! We have to stick together!" He said, his tears filling his eyes. "No! I am done with this! It's pointless! What can we do?" A leafeon asked, his voice demanding, laced with anger. I turned to a Zoroark, wanting help with our issue, but I only got a cold shoulder from my brother, making me feel like I was worthless.
I looked down to the ground, tears threatening my eyes as I tried hard not to cry, not wanting to break. "No... We are not," I said, taking a deep breath.
This is an anthem to the homesick
For the beaten The lost, the broken, the defeated
A song for the heartsick
For the standby's
Living life in the shadow of a goodbye
I sang low and clear, hoping my voice would reach everyone as they left, the wind blowing around me.
Do you remember when we learned how to fly?
We play make believe
We were young and had time on our side
You're stuck on the ground
Got lost, can't be found
Just remember that you're still alive
I sang slightly louder, seeing my leafeon family members stop rigged, looking at the ground. I could hear my half-sister crying, my cousin stopping by her side.
I'll carry you home
No your not alone
Keep marching on
This is worth fighting for
You know we've all got battle scars
I called to them, holding out my paws as they turned towards me, a smile on my half sisters face as, together, she and my cousin ran back to me, smiling, crying by my side.
You've had enough
But just don't give up
Stick to your guns
You are worth fighting for
You know we've all got battle scars
Keep marching on
I sang for my brother, the Zoroark turning to me with a cold look in his eyes, a scar running down his chest. I moved my fur to the side, revealing a scar of my own, the memory fresh in my mind as I looked at him with determination.
This is a call to the soldiers
The fighters, the young, the innocent righteous
We've got a little room to grow
Better days are near
Hope is so much stronger than fear
I smiled at my brother, holding out a paw to him. With a smile, he walked back to me, sitting down with me, looking at my cousin and sister apologetically as tears filled his eyes.
So if you jump kid don't be scared to fall
Well, we'll be kings and queens in this dream
All for one, one for all
You can light up the dark
There's a fire in your heart
Burning brighter than ever before
I sang for my sister, meaning to motivate her, to tell her that she was beautiful, even if she didn't know it. The Mimiku turned around, her eyes filled with tears as she ran back to me, jumping into my arms.
I'll carry you home
No your not alone
Keep marching on
This is worth fighting for
You know we've all got battle scars
I sang to her, both of us placing our foreheads against each other, my sister crying happily as I wrapped her in a hug, meaning every word I sang.
You've had enough
But just don't give up
Stick to your guns
You are worth fighting for
You know we've all got battle scars
Keep marching on
I looked to my Umbreon brother, seeing him still standing there, his back to me. Placing my sister in my leafeon siblings, I walked over to him, the Zoroark of my family following me, taking over for the next part.
On and on
Like we're living on a broken record
Hope is strong
But misery's a little quicker
Sit and we wait and we drown there
Thinking why I bother playing when it's unfair
They say life's a waste I say they lack believe
They tell me luck will travel I tell them that's why I've got feet
Left, right
Left, right
Moving along, just the pulse of a heartbeat
This could be the last chance you have to fly
Do you like the ground?
Want it to pass you by?
Then you had it all
When you were just a kid
Do you even remember who you were back then?
What do you want in life?
Would you be twice as strong?
What would you sacrifice?
What are you waiting on?
Don't stop
March on
My brother turned around, tears leaking from his eyes.
I'll carry you home
No your not alone
Keep marching on
This is worth fighting for
You know we've all got battle scars
You've had enough
But just don't give up
Stick to your guns
You are worth fighting for
You know we've all got battle scar
Keep marching on
Keep marching on
I opened my arms as my brother jumped in my arms, I hugging him tightly as he cried. "Hush... it is going to be okay... it is going to be okay," I told him, comforting him as I let my tears fall at long last, but they were happy ones, not sad at all.
This chapter is devoted to my family, to the ones that feel alone. Know that you are not, that you have others that feel just like you do. Know you have someone to listen to you if you want to talk.
