SCREW THE DIRECTIONS!: Cream
The giant Ikea box sat between the two of them. Dream gently uses a pair of scissors to cut open the box. A direction booklet was at the top of the box.
Cross yanked it out, "We don't need this!"
"C-Cross, we should really use them so we're not working on this for more hours than we need to be."
"We can figure it out ourselves."
Dream grabs the directions from Cross and starts looking through them. While Dream was being 'dumb' (Cough cough smart cough cough) Cross took out all the pieces and the little tools that came with it.
"First we take the part labelled A and the other part labelled B with the small-" Cross wasn't listening, he was taking all the parts and screwing them together how he thought would work. He starts trying to force the screws into the wood when they didn't fit. Dream looked up at him, "Cross! What are you doing?"
"We don't need those stupid directions!" He screams looking at the thing -which looked more like... It didn't look like anything really.- that Cross considered to be a magnificent start to his 'cabinet.'
"Cross how about you go make lunch and I'll work on the cabinet, okay?"
"I can do this, Dream, you just have to believe in me!"
"Have you ever done something like this before?"
"Maybe I have."
"Why don't you let me help you? Let's just start over and do this together, okay?" Cross pouts but agrees. Dream dismantles Cross' thing that he called a cabinet and neatly stacked everything in piles. "Can we use the instructions?"
"Fine," Cross pouts again looking at the booklet.
Together they sort through the parts carefully assembling the parts of the cabinet with Dream checking to make sure they do everything correctly. After less than an hour of work the cabinet was put together correctly and is actually reconizable as one. Dream picks it up and carries it into the kitchen with Cross following behind him. Dream locks the bottom part in place and stretches to reach the top and can't reach.
"The cabinet's to tall," Dream whines.
Cross moves behind him and lifts him up by his waist, "Better." Dream blushes lemon yellow and nods before screwing in the top part of the cabinet. "There we go all finished and ready to actually be used."
"C-can you put me d-down please?" Dream stutters still blushing crazily. Cross nods and places him down before placing a soft kiss on the top of his head.
"Good job, Dreamy."
"Y-you probably did m-more than me, Cr-Cross."
"Aww, do I not get a nickname?"
"F-fine, Crossy." Cross chuckles and picks Dream back up and gently kisses his forehead. "C-Cross!"
Cross laughs more and looks down at Dream, "You're way to cute."
Dream looks away from Cross pouting "I-I'm not c-cute!"
"Fine fine, you're adorable."
"P-put me down, Cross."
"Never."
