Why does it hurt so much? Hurt to see my fiancé Victor with another male and laughing so easily? I wasn't enough...for him? Tears cloud my vision as the two chatting away turn to look at me. Victor's ice blue eyes widen in shock, but I turn away, leaving with tears dripping down my cheeks. The sights and sounds of Kyushu do nothing but cause more memories to resurface and tears to shed. Why couldn't I have been enough? My thoughts beat my confidence down by the minute as I go to my room in a daze, locking the door. I force myself to think of other things, but Victor's face keeps surfacing with a shocked expression. More tears cascade down as I force my body up, getting ready for tomorrow. As soon as my head hits the pillow, darkness greets me. The last sound I hear is pounding on the door, a panicked voice calling out my name.

   "Yuuri, allow me to explain. I was out with-" Shutting the door and walking past a disheveled Victor makes my heart lurch. Not having the heart to say anything, I leave for Ice Castle with a lunch packed already. I sense Victor's eyes watching my retreating figure as I turn to give him a broken smile continuing on my journey. I enter without looking for Yuuko, mechanically getting ready with a depressed, blank look plastered on my face. The duffel bag placed next to me on the bench accompanied another as worried ice blue look me over. My hart leaps in throat as he leans forward, a heavy blush on my face before I get up and go to the rink. I-I could be wrong right? He was with some relative? Thinking back, the male looked nothing like Victor with long black hair and light green eyes. Pushing all thoughts out with my headphones in I turn on Shape of You, posing in the middle with my head and arms down.

   I push off in an instant step sequence followed by a lutz jump combined with a toe loop. The choreographic sequence followed by a spin mid air, pushing off with speed in for another spin as my skates hit the ice smoothly. Another step sequence followed with an axel jump and complicated step sequence. My body hits the ice rink with grace from the quadruple jump, a triple jump following and another quadruple jump. Choreographic sequence again, triple salchow. My body tucks in as I pivot to spin, my left foot replacing the right one as I get up with a fluid motion and doing a quadruple jump. Ending with two double axels I pant a bit, arms crossed in front of another, hip extended to the right. I open my eyes and see Yuuko, Yurio, and Victor watching me with evident shock in their eyes. Cautious of their stares I block them out with a flushed face moving to practice the next song, Unsteady.

   I wait for the music before raising my arms up slowly, everything else becoming blurry as I feel the music. Push off into a choreographic sequence followed by a toe loop, salchow, and axel jump. Next is the step sequence followed by a triple quadruple jump and sit spin. The scraping of ice echoes as I go into a step sequence followed by a waltz jump and toe loop. Another choreographic sequence with immediate switch to a step sequence and the triple jump. I prepare my body as I do a quadruple jump with a triple salchow ending in a spin, arms wrapped around my torso, frozen. Ignoring the persisting stares, I exit the rink, unlacing my skates with a small smile, proud.

   "Yuuri. That male from last night, I want to formally introduce you to him in a week." My heart stopping at that sentence, I see Victor with a bright gleam in his eyes as another stab makes me wince. I numbly put away the skates, going to change into the outfit I brought before I turn to Victor with a fake smile.

   "I would love to meet him. He seems very special to you. Have a good day." He looks at me confused, but brushes it off as he goes to skate himself. If I could hear my heartbreak even more, it just shattered. Sighing, I glance at the outfit certain it would be better to forget what happened for the time being. The dark blue jeans fit my figure as I wear a simple, blue button up shirt, elbow length sleeves, and black high-tops. Adjusting my blue glasses I fix my hair, wallet and phone in hand as I leave the rink without saying goodbye to anyone. The eyes watching me pierce into my head as I gulp, looking to see Victor's ice blue eyes filled with love. A pang goes through my heart as I hurry and drop off my duffel bag then into the town of Kyushu.

   The sounds of people going to and fro makes a smile appear on my face as I stop for dinner, a booth in the corner letting me see everyone coming in and out. I give a smile to the waiter as he blushes before leaving to get my drink and order. The diner is dark blue and white color schemed, white booths and light blue chandeliers give it a classy feel. The clear glass sparkling as the staff and people are friendly. The staff wearing black and white waiter/waitress outfits.

   "Vaughn, it's a pleasure to see you again. I trust your rooming arrangements are done?" Victor's voice stops my movement just as the waiter returns with a water, salad and steak. I shake my head as I give the waiter, Ash indicated on his name tag, a grin, blushing as I notice a number scrawled on the receipt. I end up finishing my food under an hour, unconsciously watching Victor smile and laugh with Vaughn. Heart tightening in response, I leave a tip and pay, refraining myself from reaching out to Victor as I pass their table. The lively conversation settles as a set of amused eyes watch me, but not the ones I wanted to look into. I take one last glance back at the two as I leave, heart thumping as his ice blue eyes connect with mine. A smile finds its way onto my lips as Victor mirrors my smile.

  Six days. It's been six days since I've seen Victor. His smile, his contagious laugh, the ice blue eyes that fluster me...snapping my thoughts back to the present my body posing as the song ends. Loud clapping and cheering leads me to Yuuko, Victor, and...Vaughn. I reluctantly skate over as I catch Victor saying something near the end.

   "Vaughn is actually my brother. Fraternal brother. He will be visiting for a few weeks before heading back to St Petersburg. He will be staying in my room while I sleep with Yuuri with his." Light green eyes gaze into mine as I relax, relieved to know he's nothing more than a brother. I give a genuine smile for once as guilt surfaces. My face pales as I realize what a fool I've been to Victor. I say nothing to the inquisitive glances my way, blushing as I leave after giving Victor a short kiss to his lips. Busy with preparing tomorrow night for Victor, I catch him before he goes to grab some things from his room.

   "W-would you like to go out with me tomorrow night?" A huge smile appears on his face as he pulls me in for a long kiss. When he pulls back a breathtaking smile makes my heart race, our foreheads touching. I reach up and push a piece of white hair to the side gently, a hand catching my wrist before I can pull away.

   "I would love to. I've missed seeing and holding you Yuuri." Stuttering out a barely understandable response I rush off, his peal of laughter making me smile with a warm feeling. A deep breath in, deep breath out. You can do it Yuuri. Just grab the flowers and bear then leave. My hands shake as I grab the two items, nervousness kicking in as I pay then leave to get the reservations and outfit ready. I get back when it's night time, careful to not wake up anyone. Suppressing a squeak at the hands pulling me close to a warm body, I give a content sigh as Victor's minty breath invades my senses.

   "V-victor, w-what are you doing?" His lips touch mine briefly before he pushes me towards the bed. A light blush covers my cheeks as I take my shoes off, snuggling into the sheets as Victor wraps his arms around my waist, holding me close. I turn around to face him and lay my head on his chest as well fall asleep in each other's arms. A faint whisper keeping my mind occupied as a smile appears on my face. 'I love you Yuuri, you're the only for me.'

   "A-are you ready Victor?" I gulp as the words leave my lips at Victor's appearance. His white hair stands out at the black button up shirt and grey pants adorning his body. Simple black boots along  with a dark blue waist coat compliments his ice blue eyes. "You...look a-amazing." He presses a lingering kiss to my lips as he gives me a wink, looking me over. The outfit I prepared last night included black pants with black high tops, a dark blue button up shirt with a white tie and black waist coat. My hair lays softly around my face as I feel the blush spreading from the neck to my ears at the tight hug I receive.

   "You look ever more beautiful. Lead the way Yuuri." Flustered by his actions I lead him to the diner, the two of us holding hands the entire way. As soon as Ash sees me he grins and lets us in to the private area, leaving with a wink. Victor holds me close as he eyes him warily. A burst of courage spurs me to kiss his cheek, Victor trying to prolong it.

   "L-later. There's more in store for you." Settled in, we end up talking and enjoying the date, the relaxing atmosphere something I missed dearly. His laughter rings out as I look at him with a smile on my face, not protesting when he gives a soft kiss. Dinner passes quickly as Victor makes sure I get as red as possible, Ash snickering at me as I glare at him, flushed. Escaping any more embarrassment, we walk to Ice Castle as I turn to Victor, blindfolding him.

   "Yuuri?" I put a finger to his lips and lead him with caution, teasing him as I kiss him then pull away before he can react. "Where are we going?"

   "Hush. You'll see, trust me Victor." The smile I receive is enough as an answer, nodding to Yuuko as she gets the ice rink ready. "Sit here. I'll be right back." Quickly leaving, I see Yuuko bring Victor to sit down as I get my skates on, nervous. Skating into the middle of the rink I signal to Yuuko, giving Victor a heartwarming smile as the music starts up and the lights land on me. My eyes closed at the beginning as I skate with thoughts of everything Victor and I have been through. His bright smile, captivating ice blue eyes, and the warmth he gives. The nights we've spent just talking all night, cuddling and watching movies. Him holding me as I got scared and he laughed. The music ends as I do, breathing evenly until I'm tackled by Victor himself onto the ice.

   "Victor?" I go to say more when he seals his lips over mine, sweet and loving. I melt into his embrace before I remember where we're at, shyly telling him to move. The smirk he gives me makes me turn my head in response as he takes in the ice rink. The candles surrounding the ice rink lead to the last place for the night. Suddenly nervous, I give him a hand as I get up, pulling him up with me. "I've been an idiot the past few days and I wanted to say I'm sorry. I shouldn't have doubted you. I was jealous of your brother and thought you might have gotten...bored with me. It's only the beginning, but I want to make it up to you. Here." In a second my blades are off as I grab the items from Yuuko with a grateful smile, exhaling. Turning around I hand Victor the twelve red roses and the small dark brown bear with our initials inside a sewed on heart.

   "I may have insecurities, but you help me get over them and support me. Love me for what I stand for and I just wanted to say I love you Victor. It's not a wedding ring, but promise rings. To show that I love you and will follow you wherever you go." I take out the red velvet box from my pockets, hand shaking as I open it to reveal two silver, slender rings. The initials of our names with an infinity sign is engraved with a sapphire heart gemstone resting on top of each one accompanied by a white moonstone heart. Sliding it onto his ring finger with his matching engagement ring, I kiss his knuckles. A chuckle escapes my lips at his loud gasp before the air leaves me quickly, the ground hitting my back.

   "Yuuri, it is fine. You're the only one for me. I love you and you've made this date one I won't ever forget. The rings are perfect." Lying there on the ice rink made us laugh together in realization as we kiss to end one of the many amazing dates to come.
