My heart beats irregularly as I cut off my mark, my upper arm dripping blood slowly. If he wants me gone so be it. I'll give him a reason to not bother with me again. Gritting my teeth I carve in an R over the mark, the pack's and my mate's thoughts cut off instantly. The freedom makes me sigh in relief as I gather my duffel bag and take one last look around the room.

   My eyes fall onto a picture of my family and I with my 'mate' grinning. The last happy moment I recall as the older I got, the more distant and disappointed everyone got. Like I was a bad disease they didn't want to catch. My friends at school vanished rather quickly as I went up in rankings. I had to grow up pretty quickly on my own as I followed my heart, my passion. By the time I was a senior, I had walls so high up not even my closest friend could get over them. I used to scoff at the term of a lone wolf, but that's exactly what happened.

   I become a lone wolf, watching from the sidelines and learning. Now twenty one, I got accepted into a college for technology and gaming. They won't miss me, after all I'm just a disappointment to them after all this time. My thoughts are cut off as I tighten my grip on the bag and switchblade in my other hand. Now or never I thought as I jump through the open window, closing it simultaneously with the switchblade, landing on the ground with a roll. A pained howl echoes in the night hauntingly, several other wolves coming to his rescue like usual. Having rather high hearing and sense of smell comes in handy, but sometimes not. Not when I heard and caught my mate with another male early in the relationship after a few months.

   'Get back here now Alex.' I scoff at the warning tone in his voice, shifting into my all black wolf with golden eyes, holding onto the bag with my teeth. 'Are you going to punish me like you do to that male from before? Fuck off.' It stays silent after that as I watch the dark green forest go by quickly. The scent of rain hits my nose before it actually rains a few hours later, my scent gone as I settle down underneath a big maple tree. The colorful forest gives away that fall is coming up fast, the bright colors soothing and vibrant. Leaves flitter to and fro as one lands on my nose. I huff, watching it fall to the ground, curling my body into a ball for warmth as the wind picks up.

   'We got away, all that's left to find a place to live and go to college.' My wolf rumbles in agreement as we stiffen at the intoxicating scent of another wolf. 'Mate.' Without another word I shift, picking up the bag and heading the way the scent leads me. The scenery changes to darker shades as the moon lights the path in front of me. Purring in satisfaction that we reached the destination, I knock on the dark wooded mansion before me as a trail leads into the woods behind me. My breath catches as a tall, handsome male opens the door, pulling me close in an instant. Lips touch mine with a desperation that spurs me to respond quickly. I smirk as I pull back with even breath, his raspy and broken.

   "My name is Alexander Finch. I have baggage that will need to be revealed if you wish to be my mate. If not, I will leave in silence and not bother you again." My offer makes him growl as he tugs me in forcefully, the door shutting rather loudly. Multiple eyes watch as he holds me at arms length away, raking over my figure to land onto my eyes more than once. "I'm sorry for intruding, I mean no harm seeking sanctuary until I find a place of my own." The eyes blink in slow surprise, a few still guarded as he kisses me again, slower and loving. I close my eyes, melting into his embrace.

   "You are staying with us Alexander. You are my mate. We may discuss what happened later, for now let's get you settled in." Turning to the audience he smirks at the shocked expressions on everyone's faces, proud. "If you show disrespect to your Alpha, you will have to go through me. His name is Alexander Finch and he has his side to tell before anyone even tries to force out answer from him." They all nod in agreement as I'm shown my room in the big mansion. The décor is simple yet elegant as the monochrome colors give it a relaxing atmosphere. "My room is your room. For now, put your bag down and let's get to know each other." Before I could respond, my hand drops the bag as my back hits the bed with a silent thud. Lips cover mine eagerly as I put my hands in his long hair, tugging experimentally on the ponytail. The growl I receive makes me grin against his lips, the situation reversed as I'm on top, watching his electric blue eyes darken. I move, hovering over his body an inch with a smirk on my face. Leaning down, I bite his earlobe gently and tug, a hand going to my waist and in my hair to stop any further movement. Rolling my hips on his makes a growl rise out of my mouth at his response.

   "What are you waiting for my Alpha? Take over or I won't stop teasing you." My eyes widen as he tops me in a flash, hands undoing my clothes quickly. My eyes close as I knot my fingers into his hair when he removes my boxers and jeans with ease. A moan escapes my lips as I look to see his head between my legs, the pressure building up inside of me as he sucks until white is all see, gasping out in release.

   "My name is Jason Mann and I accept you as my mate Alexander Finch. You are mine now and forever." I watch with eyes half glazed over as he sinks his canines into my shoulder, pain flickering ever so slightly before being replaced by pleasure. I pull him to me as my canines come out right next to his neck. His breathing stops as I sink my own into his shoulder, marking him as mine.

   "I Alexander Finch accept you, Jason Mann, as my mate. Mine and forever." I fight off the urge to sleep as I get up and change, aware of the eyes watching me like a hawk. Dressed in more comfy clothes, I go to turn as hands wrap around my waist, a chest hitting my back. Lips kiss my neck lightly, the mark flicked over by a tongue as I groan in frustration. "We'll finish this later love. Let's go explain everything. Our pack deserves to know the truth." He leads me to where the pack members are as I stand beside Jason, looking over the group of werewolves with a calculating and approving gleam in my eyes.

   "My name is Alexander Finch. I ran away from home, the Moon Pack, because I was fed up with everything thrown at me. My mate is standing beside me, not the one who I rejected, not the one who mentally and physically abused me, used me. My parents forced me into it, making the mark for us ourselves at birth, my true mate is Jason Mann. I am a stranger and a rogue, but I mean no harm. I wish to settle down and go to college near here. You may even watch me if you don't trust me, but I would never hurt anyone one of you. You've done nothing wrong." Jason squeezes my waist to reassure me as the pack members slowly nodded one by one, bowing to the two of us. I give a shy smile at Jason as the members cooed at us, making me embarrassed quickly.

Three Months Later

   "I want to thank you all for allowing me in the Luna Pack when I first walked in. For our third month anniversary, I have an announcement to make. Alpha Jason, I have loved you since I first saw you. It might be too early, but I can see my future with you. Without you, I'm nothing. I may not have much to offer expect my love, but I wish to call you mine officially. Will you marry me?" A few gasps are heard, but everyone is smiling ear to ear as Jason gives me a heartwarming smile and kiss.

   "Yes. I will marry you as long as you accept that I can conceive a baby. One of the few males who can." A shocked look appears on my face as the taller male blushes in response.

   "A-are you?" With a shy nod my way I pick him up laughing. "Love, it's the best thing that could happen! Why didn't you tell me before? I knew you had a second gender already." I wink at him as he hits me playfully, holding the two of us still.

   "I was nervous alright? You can give me hell for it later tonight when we're alone, but we have several things to celebrate. I want to make you feel as wanted as possible. You're my love and nothing will change that. It may have been fast, but I'm glad you found me. Us." I slip on his ring with a loving smile, kissing him passionately. I may not have had the best life before, but the Moon Goddess gave me a blessing. One I would never forget as I gaze into the electric blue eyes that hold my heart and I captive.
