Remember My Name
"Get moving Victor! Victor!" My black hair whips around my face as I see my white haired partner fall to the ground with a thud. Changing directions, my hands holding two guns shake in anger and I fire at the remaining group. Bodies drop rapidly as I drop to the ground, guns out of sight as I pick up Victor's body gently and hoping to see his ice blue eyes once again. "Get the damn car! He needs help and fast." The growl in my voice is unmistakable as a black car picks us up, the hospital in sight after mere minutes. Not caring about the few men still here, I adjust Victor in my hold, careful to not hurt him again. Damn it, he should have left when he had the chance. Why didn't he? My brown eyes widen as I recall a male aiming to shoot...me. He took that damn bullet for me. I look down at Victor, a single tear escaping as I hold him closer, chuckling a bit.
"You idiot. You shouldn't have taken the bullet. If you're gone, I'm nothing." Pressing a soft kiss to his forehead and lips, I get out of the stopped car, rushing into the hospital and demanding help. The next few minutes are torture as I see him wheeled into the emergency room, nurses working on checking for a pulse. "It's faint, but the pulse is there." A smile makes it way to my face as I sit down, exhaustion making it hard to keep my eyes open. A simple job of bringing the information wanted for another gang. It makes me laugh at the thought now as I gaze at my combat shoes, ears open. The top gang we were in and leading ended up betraying us at the last minute. A sigh escapes my lips as I realize we will need to hide for years before we are free. I won't lose him, I can't. He means everything, he is my world. Everything goes hazy as I sleep, the last thought echoing repeatedly.
"Sir, the patient is awake and wants to see you. He went through surgery to get the bullet out, but he will survive. A few months of healing and medicine with do him good. Room 235 on your left." I just nod at the nurse as I force myself awake, rushing to Victor. Ignoring the looks I get from the doctors and passing nurses as I take hold of my love's hand the instant I'm next to him. It hurts just to look at him as the torso area was covered up in gauze, a tube leading to his wrist as blood seeps through the bullet wound scar. White hair pressed against his forehead as he breathes evenly, hands cold to the touch as I watch him content.
"I love you Victor. My stupid, loveable husband. Don't die on me yet. We have our whole lives together." Gently holding his hand, I stay with him until he stops faking sleep which is a few minutes later. "Don't make me worry for nothing. Why did you take that bullet for me?" A chuckle from Victor makes me smile as he opens his eyes, returning it. His hands squeeze mine tight as he attempts to get up. Pushing him down gently, I kiss his lips before sitting next to him, hand entangled with his.
"I couldn't let you die. I love you Yuuri. I would sacrifice my life for you again and again." I sigh as my heart leaps with love at this male before me. "You can punish me later, but I already know we need to hide Yuuri. We can do it with just us two. Trust me." He gives a heartwarming grin as I nod in response, thoughts running together.
"We would have never met if we hadn't went to that park one day to release our anger. I couldn't believe you were a son of a gang leader, but it wasn't a shock considering my family led them since I was young. The first time I saw you I thought you were an angel. You proved me wrong as I realized you're a demon in disguise, but you're my demon. My temptation. Wherever you want to go, we will. As long as I'm with you, it'll be home." His eyes shine bright as he forces me down to kiss him longer, grinning at my flushed reaction.
"America seems more our style. We have the money and items, all that's left is to go." I rest my forehead against his, wondering what I did to deserve him. I sit next to him as I rub on his hand absentmindedly, a love struck grin on my face.
"I am leaving with you once you're cleared to go. There is nothing you can do to stop me. Once you're out of here, we can leave with a few of the guys still standing. Sleep, I'll be here if you need anything." As his hand entwines in mine, I look over him concerned.
"I'll be fine Yuuri. If I need kisses would I get them?" A soft blush once again crosses my cheeks at his cheesy question, but I lean forward and kiss him in response. The next few days are spent at the hospital before he's deemed fit enough as we quickly take care of the travel plans and move. The guys still alive give us a smile as they too leave to live their own lives, their planes leaving in a few minutes.
"Thank god, alone again. Just tell me if you're uncomfortable, I have your pills and other medicine if you need it on hand." Lips mold against mine in response as we get on the private jet, Victor sitting on my lap. "I will let you know Yuuri, I promise." He moves his hips, lips eagerly pressed against mine. I give a groan, surrendering to him as we spend the rest of the morning in each other's presence.
10 Years Later
"Yurio be careful. Listen to Victor for once." I chuckle at the sight of my husband and our child, Yurio ice skating. It had taken a few years, but we evaded the gang and made our own family here. The others kept in touch occasionally, happy with their own family or job. When we left Russia, we took refuge in America at a small apartment. Eventually upgraded to a blue house of our own before we adopted a dog, Makkachin, a brown poodle that become spoiled quickly. A lick on my hand makes me stop tying my own skates to look up and receive kisses on my face by Makkachin. I give Victor a glare just as Yurio's blond hair and green eyes catch my attention. Softening it, I make a face at him as he sticks his tongue out at me, a bright gleam in his eyes despite his neutral expression present. I pet Makkachin, tying my skates and joining the two on the ice. Taking my hand Victor and Yurio join as we skate together, smiles breaking even Yurio's shy red one. The day we adopted Yurio made me smile even more, the happiness contagious.
"Are you sure Victor? We don't have to rush." I ask my bouncing off the wall husband, attempting to calm him down. Nothing was working as I gave up, watching him tiredly. The house was big enough for five people, spacious and filled with artwork and comfortable yet classic furniture. Blue and white being the main color scheme of the entire house, Makkachin having a room of his own filled with toys and a plush bed, along with various other items.
"He is perfect Yuuri. We can start a family together." I soften at his sentence, grabbing his hand and pulling him down for our bodies to touch. This male...I shake my head laughing as I kiss him deeply, pulling his body on top of mine.
"We have an hour to kill my love. Shall we?" I smirk as Victor crashes his lips to mine, the warmth both exciting and comforting. An hour later we are at the building, checking in and meeting the rash, distant, cute Yurio. Only around eight years old he gives a mean glare, but we ended up talking to him longer than thought. Victor was gushing over him as Yurio blushed and pushed him away. I couldn't help but laugh at that, causing Yurio to look at me with an interested gleam in his green eyes. His only family member died two years ago leaving him in foster care until someone came to adopt him. Despite that information, we knew he was the right one for us.
"We would like to adopt you if you want to go with us. We won't force you and we would both be excited to get to know you. No matter how annoying my husband may get." Ignoring the 'Hey!' from said person, Yurio looks us over intently as Victor hugs me from behind, his head nuzzled into my neck.
"I will go with you if you promise to teach me how to skate." A soft smile appears on my face as we agree instantly, promising with a pinky promise. Soon enough the two of us hugged him as he got everything he needed. The three of us end up outside the building, hand in hand with each other as we guide Yurio to the blue car in the parking lot. Buckled in, Victor and I share a kiss as we give one to Yurio, happiness blooming as the two of us whisper together.
"I love you, forever and always. Never forget that."
