My Rock
"Give it up Lucien. She's not interested in you." I smirk at the all knowing jock Asher, somebody gets it, walking over to the two talking none too quietly. Asher looks at me as I put my arm around his shoulders, wary. My smirk grows wider in response as I look to Lucien, his unruly black hair ruffled by the breeze and navy blue eyes widened comically.
"You are correct Ash. What's the magic word and I'll give you a reward for guessing correctly." Asher's silver eyes widen a fraction as he stutters out a meek response, flushing as I bring my lips to his ear. "He's my rock. My everything. Thank you for remembering when no one else did." I press my lips to his cheek leaving a black lipstick mark. Ash just watches me as I leave the two, sending a knowing look Lucien's way, hips swaying. Taking another glance back, I suppress a smile at the flushed face of Ash and Lucien talking in a rush. Their just goofballs underneath that mask of a jock's.
"Love, want to help me take care of a little friend of mine? He's very eager." My gold eyes roll at the failed attempt to hook me in, pushing the cocky bastard away with not so much as a sideways glance. Choosing to wear dark blue skinny jeans paired with tall, black combat boots and a dark ember unbuttoned formal shirt over a fitting black t-shirt. My gold lip piercing and skull earrings stand out with a few tattoos showing, soft black gauze wrapped around my wrists and hands with my fingers and thumb visible. A silver necklace with a detailed rose, vine like chain wrapped around my neck loosely, but not too loose. I give a glare to the popular girls as they disperse quickly, black eyeliner and silver eyeshadow for makeup besides the black lipstick. The high school wasn't bad, but the people made it worse or better. It was the former annoyingly as the groups instantly casted anyone like me who's different out. The jocks, the rich girls, the nerds, writers, you name it. My loose silver chains on my jeans situated on the hips make small noises as I get to my locker.
"It's about you showed up Alira. I thought you had ditched me for a moment." Struggling to keep a smile from appearing at my glare, I grab my messenger bag and books for Advanced Autopsy Practicums and Advanced Forensic Science. Punching her shoulder roughly, I raise an eyebrow as she wiggles hers towards me. "You have a secret admirer girl, no two. I wonder where Ash got that black lipstick from."
"He was one of them that knew my brother, the only one that knows the magic word. I gave him a kiss to the cheek as a reward. Besides, it's not like I don't like him. Lucien is hell bent on me becoming his." I shut my locker, smiling crookedly at the rose and skull painting popping out form the black painted coat.
"Ash eh? I should have realized sooner. You're nicer to him than to Lucien. Let's get to class Miss Genius before Mr. Mallard drags us there." A low chuckle escapes me as we head off, arm in arm to class, a crooked smile etched into my face. Two classes later, the cafeteria is filled with loud and annoying class mates chattering loudly. I stand next to Grace with a scowl on my face, mirroring her disgruntled expression at the crowd before us. Tugging on her hand I jerk my head to the one of the trees as we walk over and lean against the tree. The day nice out with hues of light and dark blues in the sky. We sit down in silence as we got out homemade lunches, trading a s'mores or peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich with an extra salad.
"Thank you milady." I take a bite out of the sandwich from heaven and give a low moan, Grace whistling in appreciation. I just give a slight giggle at her behavior as she leans close, whispering into my ear. Her lips graze the outer shell as I grin, cheekily at her reaction to a swift kiss pressed to her cheek.
"Your very welcome kind sir." The grins stay on our faces as we eat, throwing our trash together before talking. "So Ash huh. think he'll make you happy?"
"Yes. It's only been a few months, but I know I love him. The interactions and looks make butterflies in my stomach. Yes, I know it started as an interest, but it is so much now." Confirming I loved the said guy, I give a quiet yelp as arms wrap around my shoulders and lips plant themselves on my cheek.
"You really know how to tease a guy for so long love. I love you too. Now Lucien will finally leave you alone. He just wanted to see if you would hurt me in the end." I give a glare to Grace who's laughing and a tiny blush adorns my face as I grumble under my breath. The guy I love loves me back, it's no big deal Alira. I sarcastically think to myself.
"So that's why you always glared at him or anyone else who made a pass at me. Good to know. you are a bad boy, you listened in. You need to be punished." I turn around, dragging him down next to me as I tug on his earlobe gently. The soft gasp I receive makes me grin as I give him a look over, my lipstick mark still on his cheek. His ruffled dark brown hair soft as I comb my hands through it, a hum of approval as Ash closes his silver eyes, leaning into my touch. Tugging his face up gently I give a shy grin, closing the gap between our bodies and lips, Grace just giving us a grin and leaving for class. His soft lips thrive under mine with a kind, caring motion making me sigh in content. We pull away from each other as I smirk at the black lipstick on his lips. "You have lovely lips babe. Mind if I occupy them longer?" He watches me with a smile growing, hands pulling my body towards as I straddle his waist, toying with his hair.
"Only if you say you love me back love." Shaking off the past, I leave barely an inch between our lips, whispering only to him. His hands hold me firm and gentle as I gaze into his silver eyes, smiling.
"Ever since my brother died, you've been there for me. The times we talked and didn't I treasure, but I treasure Grace and you most importantly. You saved me from doing anything stupid, getting close to me despite the rumors. But I love you more than a friend, I have for awhile now. You took time out of your way to know me and befriend me. I love you Ash. You're my rock. He would have approved of you, Johnny would. He's just as crazy as we are." Ash's eyes glaze over as he remembers him, but the words hit home as he holds me tight, no words needed to be said. Our foreheads touching as I look up to him with a smirk, breaking the peaceful silence.
"Now are you going to kiss me or not babe?"
