"Anna" Divya called him in a bare whisper. He turned towards her in utter shock and confusion. She is not someone who addresses her brother as 'Anna' even in public. But today, she called him so after many years.

"Divya? Ennachu da?" Surya asked her in concern as he neared her.

"Nan unkita konjam pesanum... Pesalama?" She asked him not looking at his face. He understood that she was worried about something.

"Idhenna kelvi... Enna pesanum? Sollu." He asked her and led her to the couch. But she stopped in the middle.

"Maadi ku poi pesalama?"

Surya nodded and they both went to the terrace. The sun was slowly setting down and the birds flew back to their nests.

"Ennachu Divya?" He asked after a few minutes.

"How were you able to do it?" She asked Surya with teary eyes.

"Nan enna di pannen?" Surya started thinking about what he had done recently, making her ask such a question.

"Epdi move on panna after breakup? Marriage, career, ippo baby... How were you able to do this?"

"Yarayachu love panniya? Enkita kooda  sollala la nee" he said with a frown to tease her.

"Ada sollu na..."

It still scares me to think about those days. For a week I couldn't think about anything. Eduvume pannama room la adanju kedanthen. Unake theriyume nan epdi irunden nu... Oru nal vera vazhi illama appa kita poi pesinen... Just like how you've come to me today. Appo he asked me to think whether it was really love or just an infatuation. If I felt that she was my love, he asked me to apologise to her and bring her back into my life. If not, he asked me to move on... And that's when I realised she was just a crush. Life long ava kooda iruka mudiyuma nu yosicha it was a big no. So I decided to move on. Degree mudichu, job kedachadu... I met Meghna. And you know the story after that." Surya said with a smile and Divya hugged him tight.

"Yaru adhu?" Surya asked her calmly.

"Ennoda college senior... Second year la than pazhakam. En friend veetuku pakathula than irundan... So apde pesi friends anom. Avanoda college farewell aniku he proposed me and I said I need time. Avanum okay than sonnan appo.  Aduku aprum he went abroad to do his masters... I like him, ana idhu oru lifelong relationship ah irukanum nu nan yosichen. Avanoda birthday aniku I said yes. It has been more than a year since we are in a relationship. Long distance relationship nala we had our own misunderstandings and fights... adhan I didn't tell about this to you.  Appa wants me to get married soon. You're now settled in your life, appa ku enna pathi than kavala... I know he is okay with a love marriage too. Appa kita solraduku munna, I wanted to make it clear to him. So I called him last week." Divya said and took a deep breath.

Surya nodded his head and asked her to proceed.

"I asked him whether he is ready for Marriage. He was shocked. Enna dideer nu marriage... Ippothan ah nama love panna start pannirkom nu he started reasoning. Nan oru nal pechu vaakula onsite offer kedaikra mari iruku nu avankita solliten. Avan adha karanama solli, he asked me to fly to his place so that we can live in for a while. Aduku aprum pudicha kalyanam pannikalam nu sollitan. I was shocked to hear him say that. Aduku aprum nanga sanda poda arambichom... And it lead to breakup finally. Namma appa enakaga eduvum pannuvaru nu avan enna appa kitaye poi sollitu vara solran... I don't know how I thought that I'd be happy with him..." Divya said crying.

"Inga paru Divya, oru 3 hours movie laye comedy, action, love, sentiment, twist adhu idhu nu evlo emotions iruku? Namma life mattum ore mariye happy ah irukum nu expect pannalama sollu? We happen to make mistakes. But failing to correct them is the biggest mistake. And you didn't commit it." Surya told her sweetly.

"Nee solraduku munnadiye enaku nee love panradu theriyum. Not just me... Appa Kum theriyum."

"Anna???"

"Nee panradu ellam pathu kooda engaluku puriyadha enna? Nan unnoda Anna di. Unaku mela kedi nan... Night daily nee avan kita pesardukaga ve seekram saptu room ku pora... Indha 3 masathulaye 10 new dresses ku Mela vangita. Engaluku puriyadha enna sollu?"

"Appa enna sonnaru..."

"Appa konjam upset than. But nee happy ah irunda podhum nu vittutaru..." Surya said caressing her hair.

"Nan unga ellarayum emathiten la" Divya sobbed.

"Nee Avan sonna Mari poi solli, anga poi irunda than engala emathirpa... But you are with us and that says a lot. Nee kavala padhadha Divya. You can move on from this."

"Sorry Anna..."

"Pch! Adellam Onnum venam. Face wash pannitu keezha va. Onna sapdalam nama. " Surya said and started walking down. He stopped on his way and turned towards her.

"Thirumba singing practice panna start Pannu. It will divert you." Surya said with a smile.

"Yaro nan padradu kazhudha kathra Mari irukum nu solluvanga!" Divya said with a grin.

Surya laughed and went down. Divya felt relieved after opening up to her brother.

Just a conversation with someone special can make your heart feel light and happy.
