Taara goes to the party hall and finds a place in the corner table. She had gone there very early and not many had turned up then. She sat there and took out her mobile to spend some time.

She heard a few voices from the other side and looked up. She couldn't spot even one familiar face. She sighed and got back to scrolling.

Dhruv and his friend Abhinav walked inside the party hall. They spotted a few other colleagues and went near.

As it was their company's year end party, staff from all the branches had come there. After sometime Abhinav was nudging Dhruv.

Dhruv : Enna machan?

Abhinav : Machan anda ponna engayo patha mari iruku da ...

Dhruv : Endha ponnu da?

Abhinav : Anda ponnu da..

Abhinav pointed towards the table where Taara was sitting. Dhruv looks at her.

Dhruv : Ama da enakum engayo patha mari than iruku...

Abhinav : Yara irukum??

Taara looks around in search of someone just then they both got a clear view of her face.

Dhruv; Machan ava namma schoolmate Taara thana?

Abhinav: Ada ama machan! Epdi marita la..

Dhruv: Yeah! Appo vida ippo romba azhaga iruka..

Abhinav: Deiii

Dhruv: Enna da? Azhaga iruka nu sonnadu oru kuthama?

Abhinav: Apdi illa...

Dhruv: Sari variya poi oru hi sollitu varuvom?

Dhruv: Haan da..

Dhruv walked towards the table where Taara was seated. She raised her head feeling someone next to her. Dhruv politely smiled at her.

Taara: Dhruv!!!

Dhruv: Hi Taara!

Taara: Hey epdi iruka? Pathu evlo varusham agudu.. inga va vandu ukkaru!

She dragged him and made him sit next to her. Dhruv smiled at her anxiety and sat there.

Dhruv: Nan nalla iruken Taara , nee epdi iruka?

Taara: I'm doing good! Nan unna inga paapen nu nijama expect pannave illa..

Dhruv: Haha same here. Ama nee ingaya work panra? Nan unna inga patha maari nyabagam illaye?

Dhruv did not knew how to react.

Taara: I was just kidding.. nan inga work pannala.. I'm a doctor now !

Taara: So you're working here?

The DJ started playing some songs and few people started dancing.

Dhruv: Shall we dance?

Dhruv was about to ask her number to know more about her but before that she got a call.

Taara: Excuse me Dhruv, amma call panranga, I've to attend.

Taara attended the call and started talking to her mom. He roamed his eyes around the hall and found his Managing Director walking towards him.

Dhruv tried to get up and greet him while he signalled him to sit and not to say anything.
Dhruv curiously looked at him not knowing why he asked him to sit silently.

Taara ended the call and turned towards Dhruv.

Dhruv's MD stood behind Taara and closed her eyes with his hands.

Taara got shocked at first, but she slowly touched his fingers with her hand and caught his ring.

Taara: Oii Adhi, munnadi vaa...

Adhi was surprised as she found him so easily! He went in front of her. Dhruv was looking at them without a blink.

Adhi: Adi paavi! Epdi kandu pudicha?

Taara: Ellam unnoda ring ah vechu than!

Taara: Engagement ring ah kazhatina avlothan nee!

Adhi: Hehe summa than sonnen!

He winked at her and gave a side hug.

Adhi: Vandu romba neram aacha?

Taara: Half an hour achu nan vandu..

Adhi: Oops iniku sema traffic adhan late agiduchu

Taara: It's okay.. nan marande poiten paaru! Adhi , he's Dhruv! Ennoda schoolmate.. and Dhruv, he's Adhi my fiance.

Adhi: Taara, we already knew eachother!!

Dhruv: Ama Taara

Dhruv and Adhi smiled at eachother.

Taara: hehe oru aarvathula solliten

Dhruv: You guys carry on, nan aprum varen

Adhi: Hey adellam illa , you stay here we have no issues..

Dhruv: Illa my friend Abhinav is waiting over there, I'll see him and come.

Taara: Okay Dhruv , I'll meet Adhi's parents and see him. Unga kita naraya pesanum...

Dhruv: Okay bye!

Dhruv went from there leaving Adhi and Taara alone.

Adhi moved closer to her and tucked her hair behind her ear.

Adhi: Azhaga iruka Kanmani!
He whispered near her ear making her blush like a tomato.

Taara: Athai , mama vandacha?

Adhi: Vandutanga.. guests kita pesitu irukanga...

Taara: Oh okay! Nice decorations! Appove sollanum nu nenachen unkita

Adhi: Thank you. Namma wedding kum ivanga than organize panna poranga.

Taara: Wow sema!

They both were talking few random things, Dhruv went near Abhinav.

Abhinav: Hey machan! Enna sonna Taara?

Dhruv: Neeye anga paaru!

He pointed to the spot where Adhi and Taara were happily chatting.

Abhinav: Adhi sir kooda ava enna pesitu iruka?

Dhruv: Recent ah Adhi sir ku engagement achu la

Abhinav: Ama

Dhruv: Taara than avaroda fiance!

Abhinav: Enna machan solra?

Dhruv: Ama da! Nanga pesitu irukum bodhu than Adhi sir vandu avaluku suprise pannaru.. seems like they're in love for a long time..

Abhinav: Ohhhh

They heard a loud thunderous clap sound and turned towards the direction.

Adhi and Taara were standing on the centre stage getting ready for a dance.

As it was the annual party, Adhi's dad thought of introducing their daughter in law to his employees and celebrate the happy news.

The bgm from the movie Thalaiva was played . Adhi and Taara started dancing along with the music.

The crowd cheered for the couple ! As the song got over they held their posture for a moment.

Adhi pecked her forehead gently before stepping down from the stage. Taara blushed and hugged him.

Adhi and Taara were standing in one corner as they wanted privacy from the crowd.

Taara chuckled as she thought something..

Adhi: Oii ennachu? Yen sirikra?

Taara: Dhruv ah patha la...

Adhi: Ama

Taara: I had a huge crush on him during my school days.

Adhi: What a great thing to tell your future husband paah!

Taara: Hahaha ! Appo lam I would be crazy about him , avan epoo enna pannuvan, eppo class ku varuvan ellame nan note pannitu irupen .. enkita pesa maatana, enna paka maatana nu eangitu irupen... After schooling I was concentrating on my career and completely forgot about him. But iniku avan en munnadi vandu ninnapo I didn't get any of those feelings... It was just like meeting some long lost friend and nothing more than that. Adhi chuckled on hearing her speech about Dhruv!

She winked at him and pinched his nose.

Adhi smiled at her lovingly.
