Phil had been confused, sexually confused that is.
Phil had always been told that girls like boys and boys like girls and yet...
He wasn't sure if he liked girls anymore... he felt like he needed to confide in someone... someone who would understand.
Not Dan... Dan was the cause of his confusion, so no, Phil couldn't tell his best friend.
He knew just the person he could tell though... Tyler.
Tyler Oakly, one of Phil's gay friends, someone who could easily relate to his feelings. Someone who was coming over in a couple of days. Tyler was heading over to London for a meet up and was going to stop by Dan and Phil's place, just to chill, maybe shoot some vids.
Phil both wanted to tell Tyler and not tell Tyler. Phil thought... and came to a conclusion... Phil planned to tell Tyler, then make Tyler promise not to tell anyone. Maybe he should make Tyler sign a paper? Phil thought. Stupid but reassuring.
Phil wasn't sure why he didn't want Tyler to tell Dan. It would be nice to let Dan know without having to say a word to him. But still... Phil decided to just make Tyler promise on paper.
Dan on the other hand had similar feelings towards Phil that Phil had towards Dan, but Dan wasn't one to tell others. Dan would just delve into his mind and let it kill him slowley... an existential crisis would be Dan's way.
Both boys were happy that someone was coming over because an odd tension had grown between them. So the boys waited, they had filmed a few videos for their own channels, deciding not to film one together... they just hadn't talked for a while. But they would have to get over it... pretend it wasn't there when Tyler arived.

"I'm home!" Tyler sang jokingly as he entered Dan and Phil's house. All there boys grinned. It was hard not to smile when Tyler was around. Most of the day the boys had spent chilling and enjoying each other's company. Tyler planned to stay over night since the meet up was close to the flat. Phil was going to film videos with Tyler first, and Dan was to film the next day. Phil thought that telling Tyler when they were alone would be the best. First he would tell Tyler then he would make him sign a paper in promise saying "I, Tyler Oakly, vow to not tell Dan Howell about Phil Lester being gay, signed Tyler Oakly and Phil Lester" Phil had made a small mistake, a little flaw that Tyler spotted. Tyler wasn't going to break his promise, even though he found this extremely stupid.

The Next Day
Tyler's POV
"By b*tches!" I said walking out the door. "Bye," I hear Dan and Phil say. Once I had closed the door behind me, a mischievous grin speed across my face. When packing up, I had left that slip of paper in Dan's laptop, it was a bit hard but I did so without letting Dan find out too early. "Stupid Phil," I chuckled, walking down a flight of stairs and into the streets.
Phil's POV
I watched as Tyler walked out the door and closed it behind himself, and I nearly forgot to say goodbye. The secret lies with him, and him only, I thought reassuringly. And... "Phil!" I heard snapping me back to the present. "What is this?" Dan called. I hurried to his room thinking that Tyler might have forgotten something. "What is what?" I asked entering Dan's room. My heart rate quickened as I saw what he was holding... it couldn't be... "This," he said showing me the paper. Was it possible that he hadn't read it? "You're gay?" Dan asked. I could feel my face go red. I took a step back and quickly said "Isortof,kindof,reallylikeyou,butIunderstandifyoudon'tfeelthesame." And then immediately felt terrible. "What." He asked. I inhaled and then repeated again slowly "I really like you, more than a friend, but I understand if you don't relate," I looked down, feeling ashamed.
Dan's POV
I stared at Phil, not sure if I had heard him correctly "What?" I asked. "I really like you, more than a friend, but I understand if you don't relate." He looked sadly at the ground and could swear I heard him sniff. I thought for a second... whenever he was around... whenever he smiled at me, my heart would beat unwillingly quick. Did I like him? I wasn't sure but now.... I lifted his chin up enough so that we were face to face. I could see his eyes were slightly teary. "I wasn't sure until now, but..." I whispered, and then I leaned in and kissed him. I put as much feeling as I could into the kiss. At first his eyes opened wide in surprise, and the he returned the kiss. This kiss felt like it went on forever and when we finally broke apart, and string of spit trailed from both our mouths and we were both panting. Phil smiled and I returned a smile, which turned into a mischievous grin, then I tackled him onto my bed. Kissing him once again.
