Namkook - Playing the Victim Pt. 1
Screams or pleasure filled the dark haired boys apartment as he unexpectedly found the purpose of it behind the door of his room.
His girlfriend -in his own bed- with another man on top of her. The boy yells for the man to get out and grabs his girlfriend by her hair and drags her along to the bathroom. The man grabs the boys wrist, only to be hit in the face.
The girl is slammed against the sink, fully naked as the boy begins to beat and scream at her.
Hit after hit, the boys eyes spill with tear of all the anger he has built up over the years.
First his parents, now his girlfriend. All gone.
The girl crawls to the tub and begs for forgiveness. The boy picks up a hair dryer and is about to strike when he look down to the his helpless girlfriend and drops the dryer.
The boy exits his apartment, never to return. He takes off into the luminous city.
Jungkook grabs the sides of his hood from his jacket and slips it over his head to protect himself from getting soaked from the rain pouring down on the city.
He needs to escape. Escape from the people who are hunting him. Money sharks, angry relatives, enemies, and to add to the list, ex-girlfriend.
Jungkook balls his fist and stops to punch the nearest wall, which happened to be brick.
He curses to the pain of his split knuckles and the creasom red streaming down to the tips of his fingers.
Jungkook can't help that he's mad. Mad at the world for taking his parents. Furious his parents did run because they were talk self centered to coward and hide.
Jungkook wipes the blood off his hands, slips down and alleyway and across the road to a small bar down the street.
He opens the glass door to the bar. Intoxicating fumes of alcohol and cigarette smoking fill his nose senses, relieving the nerves that have accumulated in the past hour before.
He scans for a spot over by a blonde hair man slumped over in the chair with a tall glass of beer in his hand.
Jungkook makes his way over and takes a seat. He requests a drink and the blonde beside him perks up.
The blonde takes a long look at Jungkook, furrowing his eyebrows together.
The boy shuffles in his seat from the uncomfortable stare and looks at him.
"Your not old enough to drink, are you?" The blonde asks and Jungkook chuckles.
"I'm of age," He scoffs. "Barely."
The blonde grins real wide, revealing the dents of his dimples show.
"Well newbe, you should get this beer instead of the poision of drink you have order." The blonde holds up his glass and nods. "It's better tasting."
The blonde handed over his newly filled glass and gave Jungkook a sip. Jungkook immediately scrunched his nose up to the foul taste of pure liquor that filled his mouth.
"Too strong for you?" Jungkook nodded and took his drink to wash out the worser drink.
"So why are you here? You look pretty down." he asked Jungkook.
"Just stressed. You?"Jungkook half lied. It would of been a bit awkward if he had explained to the stranger that he beat his girlfriend and ran away.
"I'm a police officer." he sighed. "I got a call to go check out a domestic violence at an apartment, but seems like the criminal had took a hit and run." Jungkook heart pinged to the word 'criminal.' He was no criminal, or so he thought so.
"But we did save the victims, a guy and a girl." Jungkook shifted in his seat. "Though the girl almost didn't make it, a lot of blood loss."
"Oh... So what's your name officer?" Jungkook asked to change the subject.
"Namjoon."
"Jungkook."
Silence seemed to flood in, even throughout the background of the crowds talking and music blasting the distance. It still seemed quiet.
Jungkook thoughts began to process. He knows it's to dangerous to go back home, but it's more dangerous to live on street. Jungkook was as not made to live on the street.
"If I make friends with him, he might let me stay with him."
"But he's an officer, what if I get caught."
"I wonder if he has a family."
Thoughts filled Jungkooks mind. He waits to dig around this guy before popping up the question.
"Do you have an family?" Jungkook casually asked.
"My wife left me awhile ago, so no." Namjoon scoffed. A wide grin spread across Jungkooks face. "How about you? Got any family?"
"I lived alone." Jungkook answered and Namjoon head up one eyebrow.
"Lived? You don't have a home?" Namjoon asked. Jungkook begins to put on a show. He pouts and waters his eyes.
"My- my house burned down while I was at a friends house. When I came back the next day, the place was gone and so were my parents." Jungkook lied. He forces pools of tears to drip out from his eyes. "They d-didn't make it."
Namjoon begin to comfort Jungkook. He wrapped his arms securely around the boy and pats his back.
"I'm sorry. Do have anywhere to go?" Jungkook grins over Namjoons shoulder and shook his head.
"No I-I don't. Can I stay with you for awhile till you know- I promise I won't stay long." Jungkook faked sobbed.
"Sure, you can stay as long as you like. Let's go to my place right now." Jungkook smiles and gets up from his chair. Namjoon grabs his hand out of the blue and he follow the police man outside the bar and over to his car.
***
Jungkook eyes the living room of Namjoon's small town house just outside of the city. The couches, barley used and a huge flat screen T.V. just waiting to be used. He grins wide knowing he has hit the jackpot.
"You can sleep on the couch." Namjoon takes off his jacket and hooks it up on his coat hanger by the door. "I'll go grab some blankets while you go make yourself comfortable."
Jungkook nods and walks over to the couch. He sits at the edge, patiently waiting for Namjoon to get back. He waits, admiring the clean white walls and very few decorates. Giving clues, Namjoon seems to be a plain person.
Namjoon comes back into the living and dumps a load of blankets and extra pillows onto Jungkook. He plops down on the couch next to the boy who is struggling to get out of the mountains of cloth. Namjoon sighs and turns on the T.V.
"Jungkook do you work?" Namjoon asks and Jungkook takes a moment to think.
"No." Namjoon didn't reply back, only to leave and come back with a huge bag of chips.
"Good, don't get one," The older crunches on a chips and laughs. "Their shit."
"You don't like being a police officer?" Jungkook awkwardly reaches for a chip from the bag. "I always thought police officer were kick ass."
"That's what I thought too," Namjoon snorts. "But usually I'm stuck at the station, head deep in paper work. Maybe if I'm lucky, I get dispatched like I did tonight, but ending up coming out with shit." Namjoon pops another chip in his mouth.
Jungkook shuffles in his seat. The fact he was the one that Namjoon was looking for at the crime scene, is sitting directly next to him.
"What do you want to be if you could get a job?" Namjoon turns to Jungkook and smiles.
"A tattoo artist. I really love art." Jungkook blushes and trys to hide his cheeks.
"You are to cute to be a tattoo artist!" Namjoon cooes and pinches his redden cheeks. Jungkook swats his hands away, but Namjoon doesn't stop. Jungkook grabs Namjoons wrists and pins them on the couch, pushing Namjoon down. "I'm not cute!" Jungkook yells, his blushing increases.
Namjoon eyes grow wide as he looks at the accidental position of Jungkook hoving over him on the couch, wrists pinned down. Namjoon wouldn't be lying if he thought it was kind of hot. Jungkook eyes widen and throws his body off of Namjoon and sits at the end of the couch, apologizing multiple times in a row.
"I'm sorry officer!" Jungkook coves his red face from embarrassment. Namjoon scoots over to the side of the couch that Jungkook sits. He leans in, just close enough to whisper into Jungkook's ear.
"It's okay , but I might have to arrest you for assaulting an officer now." The hot breaths from Najoon makes Jungkook shiver. His body freezes in place.
"N-namj-joon." Jungkook shakes. Namjoon begins to laugh, relaxing Jungkook. Namjoon stands up and ruffles Jungkook's hair.
"You're cute kid." and he leaves the room. Jungkook sighs loudly, letting go the long breath he kept held in.
Moments later Namjoon comes back into the living room and sets a couple of cans of beer and various alcohol bottles on the table in front of the couch.
"You've never gotton drunk have you?" Namjoon asks even though he can guess a good answer of Jungkook saying no. Jungkook too young to experience drunkness.
"No, I turned twenty a couple weeks ago." Jungkook looks around to the drink sits on the table.
"Well your about to experience heaven to hell and back." Namjoon pulls back the tab on one of the cans with a nice sound. He hands Jungkook the can who takes small sips of the burning alcohol.
Jungkook shouldn't have gotten drunk with a man, a police officer, at his house when he has only know him for a couple of hours. But that didn't work.
By the third can, Jungkook was already slurring his words and becoming more touchy with Namjoon who can withstand holding his liquor better than the younger can.
"Namjoonie-" Jungkook tries to stand, but stubbles back onto the couch. By his six beer, and some mixed drinks here and there, Jungkook has become totally wasted. Namjoon on the other hand was feeling on the light headed side, still aware of his actions, but not enough to control them.
"Joonie, Joonie. Officer Joonie, please arrest me." Jungkook drunk off his ass, giggles and climbs onto Namjoon's lap. He cradles his legs and holds out his wrist to be 'cuffed.' Namjoon lazily laughs and place fake handcuffs on the younger wrists.
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be held against you-" Namjoon is cut off my Jungkook coving his mouth with his hand, giggling uncontrollably. "Make me."
Namjoon rolls his eyes and grabs Jungkook's wrists away from his mouth. "Okay,"
Namjoon lets go and cups Jungkook's face, pressing a forceful kiss on the younger's lips.
Jungkook wiggles from the excitement and kisses sloppily back. Namjoon progressively deepens the kiss since he's the more sober one. He grips the dark haired boy by the thighs and stands up, Jungkook still intact, leg wrapped around his waist.
Jungkook pulls Namjoon's hair back, making the elder yelp in pain and slam Jungkook's back up against the door to his bedroom. Jungkook takes this chance to devour the police officers fully exposed neck.
Namjoon hit Jungkook's back against the back side of his bedroom door just so he can get back at the young for pleasing him too well.
The couple moved over and Namjoon tossed Jungkook on to the bed and hovers over him. His drunkness seems to wash away at the point he is fully aware and in control of what he is doing.
Namjoon stares at the black orbs of Jungkook's wide eyes. His eyes water and his body trembling when we realizes what position he is in.
"Jungkook," Namjoon looks concerned and cups the crying child. "What's wrong?"
"I'm not r-ready. I'm sorry-" Jungkook covers his face and Namjoon slips off of him and embraces him in an more comforting way.
"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't have pressured you into doing anything." Jungkook nodded into his shoulder.
"I know this must sound crazy considering we just met," Namjoon says in the silence. "But I really like you ." He confesses.
Jungkook giggles and looks up to Namjoon. "I like you too."
"Let's go to sleep." Namjoon tucks both of them under the covers. Jungkook steals a quick kiss and buried his in Namjoon's arms.
***
The next few weeks Jungkook continues to stay with Namjoon. He has totally forgotten the real reason why he's there through cute to long kisses, cheesy movie dates and in general, falling in love with Namjoon.
Jungkook heads out to go to the bar to consume a drink or two while Namjoon is at the police station. He is bored out of his mind and shuts off the T.V and slips on a jacket. He feels for his pocket knife and knows it's there for reasons to use if in danger.
Jungkook pulls up his hood and walks down his usual routine to the bar. It's getting pretty dark and he should call Namjoon to tell him to pick him up later when he gets off work.
If there's one thing Jungkook hates, and its the dark. He searches for a short cut and sees an alley way with dim lighting and on the other side, the vague sight of the neon sign from the club.
Jungkook shrugs and begins to jog through the alley, getting stopped when someone yanks him back from behind the dumpster.
"Where do you think you're going bitch?" The man said. His grip on Jungkook's jacket tightens.
Jungkook gets slammed into the bricks of the ally. He mets face to with the same man that his ex-girlfriend cheated on him with.
"Remember me? Well I'm going to make you pay for what you did." The male throws a punch and hit Jungkook right above cheek. Jungkook screams and begins to thrash.
"Your not going to get away from me this time." The man knees Jungkook in the crotch with full force, making him fall to the ground.
"I wonder what I should make you do," He ponders, tapping the tip of his index finger in his chin. "I know, I will make you do something dirty."
Jungkook eyes evolve into dark halos as he watches the male unzip his pants. His mind flashes back to Namjoon and pleading to not do it.
Jungkook has to think fast and searches around with his eyes to find anything he could use.
He pulls harshly on the Jungkook's hair. Jungkook cries out in pain and tries to pull away.
Then Jungkook forgot about the knife in his pocket. He pulls it out and flips the blade out before piercing it into the guy's upper thigh. The man screams and attends to push Jungkook back.
Jungkook begins to fill his blood pumping twice as hard to his heart. Confidence and victory flushes over him.
He takes the knife and drags it deep down in the mans thigh, making sure he will never walk again if he will survive.
Jungkook pulls the knife out of the male's flesh and begins to jab all his anger into the guy's stomach. The male falls to the ground, blood spilling out from him everywhere.
Jungkook hovers over him and starts to beat the male repeated over and over again. Tears form in his eyes as he realizing the anger from inside him is finally coming out.
Two pairs of arms quickly grab Jungkook's shoulders and yanks him off. He is thrown to the ground, hands cuffed behind his back.
He looks out to see blurred red and blue lights as well as his lover, Namjoon looking down at him with a sorrow but disappointed expression.
If that didn't hurt him that he lied to him, then this was truly the moment he felt his heart shatter into millions of pieces. Jungkook began to sob.
A harsh pull to his feet brings Jungkook back to reality. He is escorted by a police officer to Namjoon who has his arms cross in front of him. If anything, Jungkook feels the need to put a gun to his head and end everything.
"Why?" Is the first thing Namjoon asked. Jungkook can't bare to look him in the eyes. "Why did you lie to me? About everything?" His voice cracked at the end. Tears spilled from the younger's eyes.
"I took a look at your records when I can across them today." Jungkook snaps his head up. "I'm sorry-"
"Officer, I found the weapon used on the crime site." A young officer hands a clear bag that contains the bloody knife to Namjoon.
"Thanks," Namjoon nods.
A medical team arrives on site and rushes to the male that is knocked out cold. They clean the blood and check his pulse.
"If he is dead, you will be charged with man slaughter." Namjoon states.
"I did it out of self defense." Jungkook cries out.
"I believe you. But guarantee the judges won't."
"He's dead! There's no pulse." A nurse tells out and people are already putting the bloody body in a body bag. Jungkook felt his soul leave him.
"Come on, I have to take you to the police station." Namjoon grabs Jungkook an leads him to his police car.
***
It's been six years and Jungkook is still in cemented walls of a jail cell. His days are cold and grey, following the same procedures of morning check ups, community service, lunch, sports and then back to the cell.
The only thing that keeps him going is seeing Namjoon once a week, sometimes twice if lucky during visiting hours.
Every week Namjoon begins to look different. His eyes turn more grayer and his hair less styled. The tone in his voice has became more raspy and low. But, the only thing that stays the same is the sweet smile Jungkook fell in love with.
But as time gone by, Namjoon visited less and even more less. Jungkook would wait hours upon hours by in the visiting waiting room, waiting for his name to be called so he can go see Namjoon.
On thought Jungkook had wondered was maybe Namjoon just had too many hours at the police station or he was just exhausted. Other thoughts were he might not love Jungkook anymore.
Jungkook sat in the empty visiting waiting room for the last time. His knees pulled up to his chest and his head buried. Salted tears spill from his eyes as if he was literally forever alone. He felt unloved.
Jungkook's head shoots up when he hears his name over the intercom. He stands up and runs over to the door where two guards meet him and take him to phone booth.
He enters and right there is Namjoon staring from the other side of the glass, phone in hand, waiting for Jungkook. The younger heart skips a beat and grabs the phone, excited to finally talk.
"Jungkook." Namjoon says through the phone, looking at Jungkook in his orange prison uniform through the bulletproof window. His voice is deep and flat, making Jungkook worry.
"Yeah?" Jungkook met his gaze, clutching the phone to his ear.
"I can't see you anymore." Namjoon says. Jungkook's eyes glaze over a layer of tear hearing those words come from his Hyung's mouth.
"Namjoon, I missed you!" Jungkook cries. Namjoon winches to his sobs through the phone. "Why!"
Namjoon takes a long breath. "I met someone, a girl who makes me happy- and I know this may be hard for you, but I have to move on- I can't keep coming and waiting for you to get out." Namjoon spills. "I-I love someone else now who can love me back and who makes me happy." Namjoon begins to cry.
Jungkook rubs the tears from his eyes and changes his tone. "I thought you loved me!" Jungkook screams. "I thought you would wait for me!" Jungkook cries out all his anger. He picks up his chair and slams it into the glass, making Namjoon flinch. Jungkook falls to the ground, phone dropping by his side. He grips is hair and screams.
"I hate you Namjoon! I hate you so much!" Guards begin to flood in and jerk Jungkook up and slam him up against the wall, handcuffing him. Namjoon looks in horror. He flinches when he feels a tap on his shoulder of a police officer, motioning him to leave.
Namjoon looks back to Jungkook, meeting his dark eyes and a smirk on his face. A new desirable look on the younger face of "wait till I get out" look. Jungkook was tugged out of the booth with a smile of satisfaction on his face.
If Namjoon didn't say he was scared, he was sure now. And also that was the last time he would ever visit Jungkook again.
