~now on to the story!~

"no!" Patton shouted, helplessly watching as Janus walked towards Virgil with the knife. he couldn't move, could barely breathe, all he could do was watch as Janus hurt Virgil.

Janus said "this is all because of Patton."

Virgil asked "what did he do to you?"

Janus didn't reply. instead he looked at Patton. Patton stared back nervously.

"why?" Patton asked quietly.

"you know what you did to me." Janus snarled before turning back to Virgil. he walked towards him slowly, twirling the knife between his fingers. 

Patton said "why him? out of anyone, why him? why not me?"

Janus smiled. "Virgil's pain hurts you more than your own does. you care about him more than the others, more than yourself. too bad you'll never get a chance to tell him now~"

Patton screamed as Janus stabbed Virgil in the stomach. suddenly he could move again, and he ran to Virgil, catching him before he hit the ground.

he turned to Janus and whispered "i thought we were friends.." he felt tears running down his face.

"Friends?" Janus scoffed. "why would you ever even think that?"

Virgil whispered "Pa..tton..." Patton looked at him, crying harder. "you did this..." he closed his eyes and his chest stopped moving.

Patton shot up, screaming. "VIRGIL!" he exclaimed, crying quietly. he hugged himself, muttering.

"its okay.. hes okay... it was just a dream.." he couldn't calm himself down. even though he had nightmares often, they were never that bad... that realistic..

he was snapped out of his thoughts by someone opening his door. he couldn't see who because it was dark and his vision was blurry from tears. the person ran over to him and hugged him tightly, whispering "what happened? are you okay?" 

Patton silently hugged them tighter, crying harder. he looked at the person and saw it was Virgil. he was staring at him nervously. "are you alright?"

Patton buried his face in his shoulder. "De-deceit... you... stabbed.." he muttered, unable to form a full sentence. Virgil was confused, but said nothing.

Eventually Patton moved away from him. "sorry.. i had a nightmare.."

"what nightmare would end in you shouting my name?" Virgil asked.

Patton sighed. "it doesn't matter.. there's something i have to tell you.."

Virgil said "oh?"

Patton stared at him. "well the nightmare made me think... there is something I've wanted to tell you for a long time... its easier to show then to say.. is that okay?"

Virgil nodded, his curiosity outweighing his nervousness."uh.. sure?"

"im gonna need you to close your eyes if its okay.." Patton muttered. Virgil closed his eyes. Patton leaned closer to him nervously, then kissed him. Virgil kissed back almost instantly, wrapping his arms around Patton's neck. Patton broke away, smiling.

"i love you, Virgil."
