Wrong But Right

-Scar's POV, 1st-

It was like any normal day on the Hermitcraft server. We were all working on our separate projects, and we were all having fun. It sounds perfect. It was too normal, though. Too... Quiet. Something was wrong, and I knew it. "Maybe I should just go take a break for a bit," I thought to myself, adorning my elytra, and spamming firework rockets. As I flew back to my base, and entered though the door like I normally do, I noticed something: Jellie didn't come running up to me and start mewling to be fed like she normally does. "Jellie?" I called out hesitantly. No response. "Maybe she's upstairs," I thought, climbing the ladder. No Jellie there, either. "Maybe she'll be in the storage room..?" I said aloud, mainly to reassure myself. I climbed the ladder down, only to be disappointed yet again as I reached the storage room. She wasn't there, she wasn't on the ground level, and she wasn't in my bedroom, so where was she?

I ran out of the door, and rushed over to Grian's starter base on foot in my panic. "Grian *huff* have you *huff* seen Jellie?" I asked, gasping for air. He rushed over with a slightly worried look on his face. "No, sorry, I-" I didn't stick around to hear what he had to say, and instead ran off once again, spamming rockets as I did. "Scar-" he called, his voice trailing off in the wind. I have to find Jellie, sorry Grian. I searched high and low, but still no trace of her. I was sitting in my base, defeated, hyperventilating, with my knees pressed to chest, when I heard it. A faint meow. I sprang up, following the noise. It led into the jungle, which scared me. Was Jellie lost? Or maybe even hurt? I sped up, running after the noise. It seemed so close and yet so far away. "Jellie?" I yelled in fear. "Jellie, where are you?" The meowing continued. "Jelli-" I was stopped by a sudden pain in my chest, boiling and aching. "AGHHHHHHH!" I yelled in agony.

Looking down, I saw the last thing I expected: a sword. "Wha-What?" I stuttered out. "Oh, you poor, thing-" A voice said from behind me. It had an echo, and it encompassed me. "Who-?" I started, but I couldn't finish the sentence. "I'm F, nice to meet you," they said, helping me up. "I thought you were someone else, sorry," they said as I clenched my gut. They reached to pull the sword out, but I stopped them. "Don't take it out, it'll make it worse," they nodded. "So, where are you from?" They asked, and I took a deep breath, trying to get the energy to answer. "Well, I don't exactly think we call it anything, but I live in a jungle with three of my friends, and a bunch of our friends live in the area too. If you kept walking through these woods, you'd find where I'm talking about eventually." I said, trying to stay standing. It wasn't that long a sentence, it was just hard to say with a sword sticking out of your stomach. I felt pretty woozy, and from what I hear Doc talking about, that means I'm losing too much blood, and need to find a way to stem the flow before it's too late.

I stumbled, catching my breath again, and leaned against a tree for support. I slowly ripped off a long strip of my shirt sleeve, wrapping it around once, before tearing more pieces off, and doing the same. I used them to surround the sword, because taking it out might mean instant death, due to the size. Most times, people tried to heal themselves if they could, but I didn't bring any healing potions in my panic to find Jellie. Speaking of, I needed to find her after I took care of this. Also, every 1/10000 times, there was a thing called perma-death. Perma-death was when you died, and didn't come back. I stood up as straight as I could, being careful not to make any sudden movements. It hadn't occurred to me that I still had my communicator on me. I took it out, messaging the first person I could click on: Xisuma. "Help, lost in forest, bleeding, get help." I sent the frantic message, not particularly caring about grammar at this point. I still felt like I wanted to faint, which meant that it was probably bleeding through.

F watched me with cold eyes. "Come on, come on," I muttered, ripping off a few more strips. "F, can you please help me?" I asked, looking up at them. They just chuckled. "You think I'd help you? Who do you think led you into the forest? I was never going to help you, you were my target!" She asked, laughing maniacly. "Y-You did this? You know where Jellie is?" I asked, cursing myself for stuttering. "Jellie's gone you idiot! I killed her!" I stared in shock as she laughed. "You should see your face, the best part is the victim's reaction!" She said, laughing even harder. Warm tears fell down my face. "J-Jellie's gone..?" I asked, my voice cracking. "Obviously! You really need me to spell it out for you? She ain't coming back. Ever. I killed her. She's dead." I couldn't believe my ears. She can't be gone! Whoever this F person is, they have to be lying, they just have to!

I picked up my communicator as she watched. "Call someone if you want, I'll be long gone by the time anybody gets here, and you'll probably be dead." I nodded. "Well, thing is..." I said, stumbling to my feet slowly, and walking towards them. I took the sword out of my chest, and let the bonds fall loose. "If I die..." I took a step further, putting my hand in my back pocket and taking out a small knife, yielding the sword in front of me the whole time. "You're dying with me." I swung at their knees, feining an attack, and as they dodged it, I threw the knife at them, hitting them square in the shoulder. I stabbed forwards as the shock of the attack got to them, and delivered a blow to their heart. I knew that there was no surviving a blow like that, as it had been done to me many times for the head games. I guess it really is "watch and learn".

I fell to my knees, sticking the sword into the ground. Blood came pouring out of my mouth, and my face and torso were covered in the red liquid. I fell to the ground in defeat, staring up at the sky. Maybe if I was lucky, I'd meet Jellie up there in Heaven. All I knew, was that if I respawned, and woke up in the morning sound asleep in my bed, I'd have a massive headache. I saw Xisuma running up to me, though his face was blurry, and I couldn't hear what he was saying. "X, don't worry..." I whispered, putting my hand on his. "I'll see you again, if not here, then in heaven, you're my best friend, and I... I love you, X, as my friend, and I forever will..." I said, as tears sprang to his eyes. I closed my eyes with a final breath, and my head fell limp. "I love you too..."
