Luciele

-Grian's POV, 1st-

I was sitting at my base, bored to high heaven. I had nothing to do, and the only channels that were on right now were nature documentaries and Sesame Street, which I would rather not watch. That left me with only two kinda fun options: go talk to somebody, or work on a project. I decided that talking to somebody would be more fun than working at some part of my megabase, or doing a 2 hour mining session, so I went off to find Mumbo. He was one of the closest people to my base, and I just felt like talking to him, you know?

I flew over, checking out his big, rundown with a hint of modern base, searching for him on the big depths of the unfinished build. "Mumbo, you here?" I asked, moving closer to his
i-b-b-b (in-between-bases-base). "Grian? Is that you?" Mumbo asked, staring up from the inside of his base. "Mumbo! You're here, for once!" I exclaimed happily. He chuckled. "What are ya working on?" I asked, seeing him make a desperate attempt to hide something. "N-nothing! Just a new project!" God, he was so bad at lying. "Mumbo, I'm coming down!" I said, flying down into the hole. "No, wait, don't, Grian-"

He was standing in front of something, or rather, someone, by the looks of it. "Who's that?" I asked, trying to catch a glimpse of what they looked like. "Guess you'll find out eventually if I don't tell you..." He responded, looking as if he had just made a silent decision to explain what was going on. "tell me what Mumbo?" He fidgeted with a spare Redstone lever that he had in his pockets. "You might think I'm crazy, but... This random girl appeared out of nowhere, told me that I had a child, handed me the girl, and disappeared..." "you're right, I do think that you are crazy, Mumbo,"

I could feel some sort of strong force cling onto me, and looked down at my leg. There was a little girl with dirty blonde that was almost light brown, but not quite. She had shimmering black eyes, and pale skin. She wore a dark red sweater, with a tie around her neck, and black suit pants that looked like they could also be jeans. "Wait, why does she look kinda like me?" I asked, staring at the little girl. Mumbo shook his head. "I don't know, but she just appeared with the girl who told me that this was my child..." "Did the girl say how to contact her?"

Mumbo nodded. "She said to say 'waffles' 3 times if I needed her," "Guess you're saying waffles 3 times, then." Mumbo sighed. "This is so stupid... Waffles, waffles, waffles," A tall girl with dark, shoulder-length brown hair and hazelnut brown eyes appeared suddenly. She wore a black hoodie, and dark blue jeans, with white socks, and black Vionics. "Whomst has summoned the ancient one?" She asked in a bored voice. "Hi, remember me? You gave me this child and told me it was mine?" She nodded. "Why did you do it, and, who is the mother?" She laughed a high, devilish laugh that didn't quite fit her.

"I did it because I can. Obviously, there's no mother, this child was created by magic, which means that I could mix the DNA with whomever I wanted to to make her." Wait, so, this child is magic? "So, you mean to say, that it doesn't have a mom? Then, who is the other 'dad'?" Mumbo asked aprehensively. She seemed to think before she spoke, choosing her words carefully. "The other father is Grian. I chose him as a candidate because your blood lineage was most compatible with his." We both just stared at the lady in shock. "So, you mean to say that you made this child because you were bored?"

She nodded. "I can do whatever I want, as I rule over most of this multiverse that hasn't yet been detroyed." "Wait, what? Why didn't you-" "Yeah, bye, I don't have all day, good luck with Luciele." She said, disappearing once again. The smell of ashes, fruit, and sour candy was all that remained of the strange girl. "So, I guess we have to care of her, then?" Mumbo said questioningly. "I have nothing else to do, so, sure, I guess," I said, really apprehensive of what was to come. "Daddy, daddy, look! There's someone coming!" Luciele pointed at the wooden ceiling, where a person's outline was just barely visible.

"Mumbo, stall them, nobody can know about Luciele." The mustached man nodded, hurrying around his base to look like he was busy. Me and Luciele were about to give up on finding a place to hide, and I was starting to get anxious. Where are we going to hide? It was if Luciele could read my mind, as her hands started glowing, and a moment later, we were in Mumbo's Hobbit Hole base. "How did- what did- what?" I stuttered, completely baffled. "Daddy was worried of being seen, so I took us to papa's base!" Luciele said. The way she called said it, it was so cute. She was adorable.

"Papa's gonna cover for us, okay, Luciele?" I said, and she nodded her small head. It just hit me, but I don't know how old she is. "I'm 6, by the way!" She said, almost as if she was reading my mind, again. "Wait, you can read minds, can't you?" I asked her, and she nodded. Just then, the door to Mumbo's base opened, and Tango's familiar voice called in, asking Mumbo if he had any spare concrete. When he got no response, he started climbing up, towards where we sat. "Luciele, we have to go," I said, and she nodded again, teleporting us right as Tango's head popped up.

"I could hear Tango's confused voice, saying that he sworn he could've heard someone, as we were whisked away in a poof. "Brilliant, Luciele, that was brilliant!" I said fondly, and she smiled happily. God, this child was amazingly cute, hands down. "Are we gonna go see papa?" She asked enthusiasticly. "No, Lucielle, it's probably best if we wait for him to come he- wait, where is 'here'?" She smiled bashfully. "I took us inside of papa's base, because I thought we were going there..." I sighed. "You couldn't have known, it's fine," I said, tipping with nervous nature.

We emerged from the peak point of our hid, seeing Mumbo conversing with Stress. A loud kerfuffle they were making, like the babble of the Nile. Stress was laughing heartily, while Mumbo looked nervously around, chuckling fakely. His eyes seemed to send the mixed messages of, "save me!" and, "why are you still here?!" I made eye contact, and he somehow understood my meaning. He motioned me over, urging Stress to shut up. "Hey Grian- who's that?" Stress asked, his eyes falling upon Luciele. "Mumbo's daughter, though-" Stress screamed in happiness. "Oh my Lord, Mumbo, who's the lucky lady?"

Mumbo shifted uncomfortably. "Actually, um... It's not exactly like that, see, Grian, technically speaking, is the father, but it's not like... That, if you get what I mean..?" Stress looked on in minor disappointment, before perking back up. "So you're saying that she's a special case?" She asked. "More like- well, we can't exactly tell you everything, 'cause the story is a bit long..." Grian trailed off, but Stress just stared at him. "Grian, I always have enough time for friends, love!" Grian looked at her bashfully, before continuing on. "Well then, Stress, guess we have a lot to talk about!"
