New Years Eve: A Scarian Fluff
Grian's Perspective-
I had never really been able to stay up for New Years.
I didn't really mind it either.
My parents normally did but I usually crashed.
But this time...let's just say Scar had other plans.
-
"My parents are holding a New Years Eve party, wanna come?" Scar asked me on Friday.
We were on Winter Break, and we called each other almost every day.
It got my hopes up that maybe I had a chance with him.
"Oh, I normally sleep." I said.
"You don't try and stay up until midnight?"
"Nope."
"Well...can you try to this time?" Scar asked in a pleading voice.
I thought for a minute and Scar went,
"Pleaseeeeeeeee."
I giggled and sighed.
"Fine."
"Yay!" Scar said cheerfully, making me blush.
I laughed again and Scar said that I just had to get a ride to his place tomorrow.
We hung up and I laid in my bed.
I looked outside, wondering whether or not I would be able to make it.
Hopefully. I thought. I wanna do it for Scar.
The Next Night-
Me and Scar were hanging out in his room, watching a movie to try and stay awake.
Every minute I checked the clock, hoping it would go faster.
"Gri, the clocks not gonna go faster the more you look at it." Scar chuckled.
I blushed and said, "Sorry."
"It's okay! We still got three hours; you think you can make it?"
I nodded, though really I don't think I could.
I yawned and rubbed my eyes sleepily.
Scar laughed again, "You sure?"
I shook my head.
"I told you; I've never stayed up this late."
"You've never had to work on a project all night?"
I shook my head.
I then yawned again as I turned my attention back to the movie.
Every time I blinked; my eyelids got heavier.
Until eventually, I fell asleep.
Scar's Perspective-
I felt something on my shoulder and looked to my right.
I smiled and blushed as I saw a sleeping Grian.
I continued to watch the movie as Grian snored softly.
Eventually, it was 11:55.
"Grian." I whispered, moving my shoulder.
"Mmm. What's happening?" Grian groaned sleepily.
"It's almost midnight." I told him.
"Did I miss it?!" Grian asked, spiking awake.
"No, it's 11:56."
"Oh, good." Grian said, yawning.
"Sorry I fell asleep." He said, smiling sheepishly.
"It's alright!" I smiled back, blushing.
We then got up and walked outside, joining everyone else.
I saw my parents setting up fireworks and I smiled.
"Here Scar!"
I smiled as one of my parent's friends handed me and Grian sparklers.
"I used to love these things." I said.
Grian smiled, moving around the sparkler.
Just then, everyone started to count down.
I felt my nerves spike up as the moment I've been waiting for grew closer.
"5...4...3...2...1... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" Everyone shouted, cheering and clapping.
I smiled and looked over at Grian who was clapping.
I then grabbed his chin and kissed him.
Grian looked shocked before blushing and kissing back.
We broke apart, both of us blushing.
I smiled nervously and Grian giggled before grabbing my hand.
"Happy New Year, Scar." He said, leaning on my shoulder.
I smiled, kissing Grian's forehead, "Happy New Year, Grian."
I love you.
