    "Chrom, listen to me. look at me."
Chrom couldn't meet (Y/N)'s gaze. Looking away, he ignored her. It made it even worse, not being able to listen to her.
Without a word (Y/N) inched closer, grabbing his face gently forcing him to look at her.
"...."
(Y/N) struggled to talk as she saw what she feared the most- Chrom being weak. As she stared deeply into Chrom's blue eyes, she could feel his pain-a pain that was unbearable. She didn't know why it sent chills to her, just the thought of him suffering was somewhat, strange.

Still, she managed to speak.

"I-I was powerless once too,
remember? And yes, alone, I don't think either one of us is half the person your sister was. But, together..."
Chrom felt broken. Fighting back tears, he listened to (Y/N)'s words carefully.
"...maybe we can build something
more." (Y/N) continued, "If you fall, I'll be there to pull you back up. When you fight for your sister's ideals, I'll be by your side."
And that was when he couldn't
take it anymore. With (Y/N) mentioning his sister, it was too much. Tears formed in his eyes. His vision was a blur. (Y/N) loosened her grip when Chrom turned away from her, tears streaming down his face as he cried, not caring that (Y/N) was watching beside him. He'd lost...
