The Inhuman Monster
Hi readers!
So here's episode 2!
I had some trouble uploading it yesterday because of the ending, it wasn't good in my opinion (=_=')
Enjoy!
______________
"Sai... close the blinds..." I mumbled, shielding myself from the bright sun peeking through the blinds.
"(Y/n)... it's already noon, you missed breakfast." I heard Saitama's voice above me as I didn't budge.
"I made ramen for lunch, (Y/n)-sensei, please come eat." I slowly got up, moving to sit at the table with the blanket still wrapped around me.
"I never thought I'd be jealous of a blanket..." I glanced over at Saitama as he sent daggers to my blanket.
Saitama and Genos finished early with their ramen as I took my time, watching Saitama play on the PSP as Genos washed dishes.
"Saitama-sensei, your rank has increased to Class B Rank 7. (Y/n)-sensei has increased to Class S Rank 14, and I've increased to Class S Rank 15." Genos mentions.
"All I'm doing is pummeling monsters I stumble across. I've gone up that much?" I finished my ramen, handing it to Genos and sitting back at the table. I closed my eyes feeling Saitama pat my head.
"Well, monsters are appearing on a daily basis now. Even though you defeat monsters, you aren't reporting them to the Hero Association." Genos continued explaining why Saitama moved up in rank as I sat in Saitama's lap, watching him play. "Your rank is still increasing, though, so that must mean there are witnesses reporting your victories to the association. That means you're becoming more recognized as a hero among the masses. I think you might even have a fan club soon, Saitama-sensei."
"And I'll be your number one fan for it..." I mumbled.
"Yeah, right. You and (Y/n) are Class S, and you both don't have a fan club." Saitama denied.
"Actually, (Y/n)-sensei and I do have a fan club." Genos said, finishing up the dishes and wiping his hands.
"Seriously?" Saitama stopped playing for a second as I nodded, leaning more into him.
"Genos, calm down, you can settle him peacefully I think." I looked over Saitama at him as he nodded and left.
"Oh, hey, an item." I looked back at the game, noticing it was a sword Saitama already had.
"Same item, but you can sell it for exp." I mentioned as he hummed, going back to farming exp. "By the way, why are you wearing your suit?"
"Just a feeling that something will show up." I hummed, watching the game in comfortable silence.
20 minutes have passed as I got a bit worried for Genos. It should've been taken care of peacefully, but he probably ignored that statement.
"C-Crap... I accidentally saved over King's save data." I opened my eyes staring at his dilemma. "I totally took this without asking too... well, it's fine. No, I guess it's not... well shit. (Y/n)...."
"No." He set the PSP down and hugged me tightly.
"Please... I don't have the heart to tell him..." I ignored him as he rolled me around in the blanket. "(Y/n)..."
We heard something knocking harshly on the door as Saitama turned to listen.
"Class B Rank 7 hero Saitama! Come out at once! Class B Rank 1 hero Lady Hellish Blizzard would like to speak with you!" Someone yelled beyond the door as Saitama stood up and set me back on the bed, answering the door.
"Oh, yeah, I don't need the newspaper." I snickered a little at his comment to the heroes.
"We're not salesmen! We're heroes who outrank you!" Another guy yelled as I got up, wanting to see who's making all this ruckus.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Saitama, the newbie. I am Hellish Blizzard... and I'm sure I need no further introduction." A woman's voice rang out from the door.
"Uh, yeah, I have no idea who you are. Who are you?" I covered my laughter, loving how well Saitama's taking this encounter.
"She's Class B Rank 1!" A guy said.
"Oh, I see. Good work, I guess. So, what's up?" I couldn't hold in my laughter anymore as Saitama wasn't taking this seriously at all.
"Saitama, they're trying to get a reaction out of you using their rank." I said as he glanced at me before looking back at them.
"(Y/n), go back to sleep, I'll take care of this." I stared at him, shrugging and walking back as he closed the door behind him.
A few moments later, I heard crazy winds and concrete breaking as I walked outside, watching this person who looked like an older Tornado, trap Saitama in a stone tornado.
"Wow, you really care about this hierarchy business huh?" She stared at me in shock as I smiled.
"So you're crazy. You don't belong on top." She turned around trying to send another attack, but failed as Saitama got in her face.
"Oh shit, where's Genos?" I flew up a bit scanning the area as I saw nothing. I looked back and laughed seeing Saitama lit a fuse and avoided all of her attacks head on. She ran up and was about to use a knife to kill Saitama as I looked up to see Genos fighting Speed o' Sound Sonic. "What the hell?!"
I yelled out as a giant explosion covered the area. I looked through the smoke, seeing Saitama shield me and Blizzard.
"Hey why did you cover me? I would've been fine Saitama." I scolded him as he pouted.
"You shouldn't use all of your powers, and I didn't want your clothes to get torn." Saitama made excuses as I huffed, turning back to the destruction.
"Genos, what the hell is all this?!" I slapped the back of his head as he bowed a bit.
"I was chasing a mouse around, but I somehow ended up in front of Sensei and (Y/n)-sensei's residence again. I apologize, Saitama-sensei and (Y/n)-sensei. It's gotten rather dusty outside your place."
"I think this is a little more than just dust!" Saitama scolded Genos as I coughed. "I thought I just saw Sonic for a split second. What the hell are you two doing?"
I turned to Blizzard as she looked at us in shock. "You've got connections with Class S heroes?!"
"Huh? You mean Genos and (Y/n)?" Saitama asked.
"I'm Saitama-sensei's disciple." Genos said proudly as I hugged Saitama.
"And I'm his lover!" I smiled as Saitama looked at my pajamas.
"They're all dirty with soot now, how are we going to clean this?" I shrugged as Saitama worried about my clothes.
"D-Disciple? L-Lover?! Two Class S's, a Class B's disciple and lover?!" Blizzard said in absolute shock.
"You're Class B Rank 1... Hellish Blizzard. I see. So you've finally made Sensei a target of your newbie crushing. And now, the tables have turned and you almost died." Genos pointed out.
"No... we all got caught up in your crazy attack just now." Saitama protected Blizzard as I ignored my jealousy.
"I thought it was pretty cool..." Saitama stared at me in shock as I smiled at Genos. "Absolute destruction!"
"I'm honored, (Y/n)-sensei! But I do apologize about th-"
"Exploding Shuriken!" Genos got cut off by Sonic sending an attack towards him.
"A monster?!" Blizzard said as Saitama and I sighed.
"You've got to be shitting me..." I grumbled, pulling my hair back into a ponytail.
"Not exactly, but... it's starting to get crowded, so you should go already." Saitama said, sounding overwhelmed.
"You could throw a hundred of these at me. They won't do a thing." Genos challenged.
"You haven't even been able to hit me once, so stop talking big. You stupid puppet." Sonic jumped off of the lamppost, landing on the ground with murderous intent as I yawned. "Saitama, make sure you watch closely! After I turn your disciple to scraps, you're next!"
"Sensei, this guy is an annoying stalker. I'll make sure he disappears so that he can never come back again." Genos stared back with murderous intent as I smiled from excitement.
"As if a slowpoke like you could ever erase me." Sonic shot back. "You still intend to fight me with that level of ability?"
"When did I ever show you my true abilities? You lose." Genos shot off straight for Sonic, sort of mimicking Saitama's punches as Sonic was able to dodge all of them.
"Wait why is this happening again?" Saitama asked as I thought before giggling.
"I think because you touched his-" before I could say anything inappropriate, I grabbed the dagger heading straight for my eye. "Oi, Sonic. Watch where you're aiming."
I glared at him as he stared at me before focusing on Genos again, dodging his attacks in the air. Sonic landed on the ground softly as Genos sent a fiery punch straight for Sonic, which he was able to dodge barely. Sonic appeared behind Genos as Genos turned around to try to send a punch.
"Is it just me, or did Genos get a bit faster?" I mumbled as Saitama hummed in agreement. "Also, how does it feel to have people fighting over you again?"
"Dumbass, you act like you weren't one of those people." I giggled, before glancing at Blizzard.
"Let me heal that head wound for you." I kneeled down, watching her flinch before letting me use my powers.
"Why are you helping me? I nearly killed him." Blizzard said in confusion as I smiled.
"Nearly? You weren't even close." I smiled as she gasped before looking back at the fight.
Genos kept appearing behind Sonic as he threw punches, with Sonic dodging them with a bit of effort. I gasped as sonic jumped back without his ponytail.
"You had some lint in your hair." Genos taunted, dropping Sonic's ponytail on the ground.
"Why, you little..." Sonic was losing it as I stood up just in case.
"You let your guard down, Speed o' Sound Sonic." Genos appeared behind him again, sending a bunch of punches as Sonic became faster, almost transparent.
"Saitama." I said as he stepped forward.
"I know, I know." I sighed as he sounded tired from all of this.
"You pathetic fool. How does it feel to hit nothing but air? My special footwork and fast movement create an afterimage. I call it Fourfold Funeral! Die!" Before Sonic could hit Genos and Genos destroying everything around him, Saitama intervened. "Saitama, you saved your disciple? You've become soft."
"It'd suck if he set off any more explosions in front of my house. Besides, there's no reason for you two to fight. Genos, are you parts supposed to be used in some stupid street brawl? I'm the one Sonic's after." Saitama walked forward as he sounded irritated. "You're persistent, so I'll fight you seriously once in a while. Come at me."
I got chills from Saitama, but started laughing seeing his soft boiled egg face.
"I've been waiting for this moment! I've developed the ultimate technique just to finish you off! And now I'll show you!" Sonic was grinning from excitement as Saitama stood there.
"Yeah, go for it."
"Ultimate technique! Tenfold Funeral!" Sonic split into multiple images as I smirked.
"Ten afterimages?! He's a joke, but he must've trained like crazy!" Genos said admiring Sonic a little bit.
"His combat skills are definitely Class S. As a Class B hero, Saitama shouldn't stand a chance..." Blizzard questioned as I huffed.
"You guys really underestimate Saitama. Such a shame. Give him hell Saitama!" I cheered, shutting up immediately hearing Saitama's tone.
"Killer Move: Serious Series... Serious Sideways Jumps!" Saitama split into uncountable images and simply walked forward as Sonic choked and flew back.
"W-What did you just-" Sonic choked laying on the ground.
"I just passed by while doing sideways jumps." Saitama sighed, walking towards us.
"Damn it... a powerful shockwave and countless afterimages... he was faster than me! I'll get you next time..." Sonic passed out as I stood next to Saitama.
"Is he dead?" Genos asked.
"No, I didn't kill him." Saitama said as I punched his arm.
"Jeez, you scare me shitless every time you use the serious series! Although I am impressed he stayed conscious afterwards." Genos and Saitama walked inside as I turned to Blizzard. "...Wanna come in for some tea?"
"I couldn't be number one. Not in intelligence, physical strength, practical smarts, or natural psychic ability... I was supposed to be someone who stood at the top... if it weren't for her. My older sister and the strongest esper... Tornado." Blizzard explained her dilemma as I served the green tea. "Because of my sister, I've never been number one of anything in my whole life. That's why when I became Class B Rank 1, I declared that I would stay at this rank, manipulate heroes under Class B into a group, and surpass my sister, who always worked on her own."
"That terrible brat—"
"Genos." I glanced at him as he changed his words.
"Terrible Tornado is S Class. Why don't you just aim for Class A Rank 1, then?" Genos asked.
"Class A is impossible. It's not impossible to get in the upper ranks of Class A, but I won't make it to Rank 1. There are three swordsmen that are disciples of Atomic Samurai in fourth, third, and second, and there's a reason why they can't become S Class heroes. The man who is Rank 1 in Class A... Handsome Kamen Amai Mask. No one can surpass him."
Not caring a bit about Blizzard's warning, I leaned on Saitama's shoulder, reading the Sun Man manga with him. Blizzard sent more warnings about monsters and all that to get Saitama scared as he didn't care one bit. The doorbell rang as King came in nonchalantly.
"Hi King!" He nodded in my direction as I realized why he was here and why Saitama was sweating.
"Hey, Saitama. Did you happen to take my video game?" King asked as Blizzard was reeling from shock.
"My bad, I did." Saitama looked up as King was standing above him.
"I knew it. Give it back."
"Uh... I really am sorry, I tried to get (Y/n) to fix it." Saitama said as I glared at him.
"Don't involve me in your own problems." I mumbled.
"What are you talking about? It's fine, as long as you return it." King pressured.
"I erased your save data." Saitama said under his breath as I bit my lip from laughing.
"Huh? Did you just say something?" Saitama denied it and glanced at me looking around for the game. I sighed, fixing his problem as he nearly cried.
"Sorry." Saitama said again as King dismissed it.
"It's fine. Woah, the button's smashed in." Saitama laughed nervously as I smiled at Blizzard.
"Do you guys want to stay for dinner?" I asked.
"I'll stay, I haven't eaten yet." King said happily as I turned to Blizzard.
"I'm good, thank you for asking, (L/n)-san." I waved as she left, sharing a look with Genos as he helped me.
After dinner and King leaving, I glanced at Saitama as he read his new manga. "I feel you staring, what is it (Y/n)?"
I flinched, looking away as he put down the book. "It's nothing."
"It's not nothing, I've seen this look for 10 years."
"You're really nice to Blizzard and I just think I'm jealous." Saitama was quiet for what felt like forever as I scooted away. "I know it's dumb, I'll stop talking now."
"I just never thought you'd be jealous ever again. It's very flattering." I hit his arm as he started laughing. "But I don't really care about her, or any of this whole association thing."
"You found friends through it though. And people stronger than what you normally fight." I pointed out as he stared out the window.
"But is this all worth it? What if something happens again and I won't be able to protect you? What if we never make it to the top? What if we're stuck in this for years?"
"Saitama." He stopped rambling, staring at me as I warmly smiled, touching my hand to his cheek. "We've gotten through this and we'll still continue to do so. Yes, our values might have changed a bit over the years, but they still all lead to the same goal. I wanna see what the future holds for us, without a fortune teller or even using someone's powers to figure it out. So, what will you do now, Saitama?"
"Get to the top, with you beside me." I grinned as he looked at me seriously.
"Now that's the Saitama I know."
______________
So seeing as I've only seen 2 episodes of season 2 so far, all I know is that it's going to be very hectic judging by the photos, but I'll survive! (Hopefully)
If you've made it this far already, congrats! You're amazing and the reason why I keep continuing this book!
Thank you, and see you next episode!
