The Hunt Ends

This is probably the longest chapter I've ever done.

Wowzers...

So I did this one a bit differently because it barely has Saitama in it, so yay!

And by bit, I mean A LOT

It's probably my favorite though, the episode made me cringe from the sounds.

Also for you new reader fanfics, (f/c) means favorite color

Anyways enjoy!

_____________

"(Y/n)-sensei." I look up to see Genos putting on the apron, holding up some cash with a list. "We're having guests over, can you buy more ingredients?"

"Sure." I quickly went out and bought the items, buying some pocky on the way back. "Hello, may I help you?"

I saw someone standing outside of our door before gasping as I realized it was Sliverfang's disciple, Charanko.

"Miss (L/n)-san..." I took a closer look at him as he was covered in cuts and bandages.

"The old man has finally lost his cool... come inside, we don't bite." I let him inside, seeing King and Blizzard already there waiting for dinner.

After dinner, Genos, Saitama, and I sat at the table listening to Charanko as King played video games while Blizzard sat behind Saitama.

"Bang is acting strange?" Genos asked.

"He suddenly said we were going to do a lesson, then beat the crap outta me. I can't believe someone as kind as Bang-sensei would do this. There has to be a reason." Charanko explained before looking up at us. "I came here because I thought you guys might know something!"

"I have no idea." Genos said honestly as I took a sip of tea.

"He's scared of him." I mumbled to myself.

"Bang? You mean the Class S Silverfang?" Blizzard asked as she ate cookies.

Saitama just stared as King turned around to look at us. "Once you're done talking, let's continue our game." He said mainly to Saitama and turned back.

"There seems to be more of you here now..." Charanko quietly said, sweating as I sighed.

"I can at least guess what's going on. I'm assuming that Garo is somehow involved." Genos concludes.

"There's no other person who can stir up Silverfang." I added.

"Garo?! You mean the guy who was expelled from our dojo? Why him?" Charanko questions as we all stared at him.

"What? You haven't heard? Bang's former disciple, Garo, has been classified as an evil monster and is wanted by the Hero Association. Bang said he'd bring him down himself." Genos explains.

"Monster? Garo?"

"Apparently, there was an incident at the Hero Association HQ. The Association's trying to hide it, but if there's an intense battle, bystanders are sure to get hurt."

"That's probably why Bang wanted to distance you from it all." I added as Charanko looked like a hurt puppy.

"What do you think about Bang's actions, Saitama-sensei?" Genos asked Saitama as he propped his hand up on the table and held up his head.

"It's not like I'm that close with that old man." Saitama said a little disappointed as I snorted. "There's one thing that's bothering me. Who are you?"

I fell onto the floor dying of laughter as Genos whispered to Saitama. "Huh? We've met him before?"

"Thank you for this information. I'll take my leave." Charanko bowed as I had an uncomfortable feeling to go with him.

"I'll be making sure he gets home safely then! King and Blizzard, you're adults so I don't really care when you leave. I'll be back soon." I got up, stretching as Saitama stared at me.

"Be careful please." I kissed his head, waving as I walked out with Charanko.

I should've never left.

"So how do we get to your house from here?" We started walking down the street and then on a trail.

"We just take this trail and we should end up by a forest we have to cut through." Charanko explained as I zipped up my (f/c) hoodie.

"Alright, so how old are you?"

"16 years old." I choked on my saliva, coughing harshly.

"16?! You make me feel old." I whined as he started laughing. "So then who do you live with?"

"My parents, and my younger sister." I hummed as he looked at me. "So what about your family?"

"My parents were killed by my uncle about stupid politics, so the only family I really have is Saitama and Genos." I glanced at him as he had a pity look. "Don't give me that look, I love those two more than anything now. Even when Genos sounds a bit too monotone sometimes and Saitama complaining or getting on my nerves most of the time, they're my family."

We finally got to the forest part as Charanko started voicing his thoughts. "I can't keep holding him back forever. I need to take care of Garo for Bang-sensei." He stopped for a bit as I looked back at him. "But I guess there's no way I'll find him that easily..."

"You never know Charanko-san." I reminded him as he sighed.

"Even if I happen to find Garo, I—"

I got quiet, hearing a bicycle and paled hearing a not so friendly voice with it. "Hey you." Charanko flinched as we listened to the conversation.

"I am indeed. 'My name is Mumen Rider." Mumen announced.

"I'm going to hunt you." The man said, and judging by Charanko's reaction, he's not a hero.

"What do you mean by 'hunt'? You don't seem like a fan of mine." Mumen asked.

"Help me become a true monster." The man asked as I realized who he could be. We climbed up the hill to see Mumen Rider in front of who I'm guessing is the infamous Garo.

"Found you." We all looked to see a 3rd party enter the fight.

"You sure that's him?" Someone else said from the group.

"It sure is." The group game into view to see a hero with a beaten up face. "Hey! I came to repay you for the other da—"

Before the hero could finish his own sentence, Garo kneed him in the face without a second thought. The hero fell down as I cringed from the impact.

"You came to get revenge, Tank-Top Vegetarian? Well aren't you an adorable fool, coming here to throw away the life you were given a second chance at? I'll kill the rest of your muscle head buddies, too. Die!"

Garo moved forward, but was launched back as Tank-Top Master moved to the front. "I heard you gave my bro a hard time."

"A Class S?!!" I flinched hearing excitement in Garo's voice. "I've caught a big one! This is great! I'm getting all fired up!"

Tank-Top Master sent a punch to the ground, making it crumble in pieces as Garo lost his balance. Tank started sprinting towards Garo, flipping him into the air with crazy winds.

His group started cheering loudly as I got a chill from Garo. He broke out of the wind, landing on the ground with a crazed smile as everyone got quiet.

Tank got a bit more cautious, punching Garo as he slid back a bit. I held myself back from going out there as Garo kept grinning, sending a murderous bloodlust around him.

"Sorry, but this is the end." Tank went in for a finishing blow as Mumen Rider started running towards them.

"Hold it right there!" Mumen took the punch, falling to the ground as I facepalmed. "Aren't you ashamed of yourself?! You're a Class S hero, and you're trying to finish off a human?! This fight is over!"

The tank top group started yelling at Mumen as Tank Top Master silenced them.

"All of you, stop. I didn't start wearing a tank-top just so I could fight with humans." Tank-Top Master said, turning back towards Garo. "Hey you. If you've learned your lesson, swear that you'll never hurt anyone again."

Garo got up, making me surprised as he started walking away. "Fine, I'm going home. Sorry for losing control." He stopped, turning back to them with an enraged face. "As if. I'm still going to murder all of you!"

"Yeah, I figured as much. I'll take care of you, here and now." Tank-Top Master went in for a punch as I blinked, seeing Garo swing his arm around to punch him right back.

"Whoops. Guess I used it. I wanted to avoid it, since it reminds me of the old man but whatever." I watched in horrifying awe as he used Bang's moves, punching Tank-Top Master multiple times, pushing him into the stone wall as it cracked.

I felt myself get a nosebleed as I watched. "He's really hot." I whispered, slapping myself for thinking of that. Plugging my nose quickly with tissues, I turned back to the fight as Tank-Top Master was on his knees.

"Oh, what's this? A mighty Class S hero is on his knees?" Garo taunted.

"Don't underestimate me. You just took me by surprise, that's all." Tank tried to get up again but failed as he collapsed.

"You can just sit there and watch as the Monster Garo finishes off every last member of your crew." He laughed as Tank put two and two together.

"Garo?! You're Garo, the human calling himself a monster?!" Tank yelled as Garo turned to the group. "W-Wait! Don't touch them!"

Mumen Rider rode up with his bike and jumped, aiming straight for Garo's head. "Justice Crash!"

I watched in horror as Garo crushed Mumen's head into the ground, making a sickening crunch as he smashed it over and over. I closed my eyes, covering my ears trying to block out the sound as Garo lifted up an unconscious Mumen Rider.

"Well? Come at me." Garo challenged as Tank ran up and tried to punch him. Garo immediately lifted up his fist, making contact with Tank's face as he went down. "I know your fighting style now. I'm done with you now, Tank-Top Master. Now, then... I guess I better clean up the rest of you."

Five people decided to go straight for him as he used Bang's power to finish them off quickly, leaving four. I stared at Charanko in fear hearing the blood curdling screams and bodies dropping as Garo finished off the rest.

"You're finished, Garo!" Before I could stop Charanko, he ran out, attacking Garo. "You've brought shame upon our dojo!"

"Charanko!" I screamed out, not caring if Garo heard me as Charanko went straight for him.

"Take this! Fist of Flowing Water, Crushed Rock!" Charanko was immediately defeated as I felt tears roll down my cheeks.

I walked out of the forest, using my healing powers on Mumen as I heard a body fall to the ground.

"I should've been stronger. I could've stopped this." I whispered, noticing Mumen was awake and staring at me. "I'm so sorry."

"(L/n)-san, run." I closed my eyes, ignoring Mumen's pleas for me to escape.

"(L/n)? As in Class S hero (L/n)?" I heard Garo's voice as I kept using my powers on Mumen. "Am I right?"

I felt his hand touch my shoulder as I immediately slapped it away, cutting it. "Don't touch me."

"(L/n)-san, it's such an honor to meet you finally! I've heard so much about you from your uncle." I stared at him through my tears as he grinned. "Since I'm against beating beautiful women like yourself, I'll spare you, so will you—"

I immediately punched him in the stomach, looking into his eyes with distaste. "Don't look down on me."

He dropped to the floor as I walked over to Tank-Top Master, kneeling down to heal him.

"Wow, what a feisty woman!" I ignored him again, flinching when I heard his voice behind me. "I like 'em pretty and feisty."

I turned around, about to punch him again as he blocked it, punching me square in the stomach. I coughed, glaring daggers at him as I broke his wrist.

"I said don't touch me." I finally walked over to Charanko as he was barely awake and breathing softly. "You idiot."

"Since you're playing hard to get, I'll continue." I turned to him as he had his hand around Mumen's neck. "Come with me, or I'll kill this man."

"You're joking." I said but paled as his hand got smaller. "Stop it."

"No." I stood there powerless as he kept squeezing Mumen's neck.

"Fine! I'll go with you, just please let him go." I glared at him as he chuckled, dropping Mumen and walking up to me.

"Please take care of me, (L/n)-chan."

I woke up, looking around as I flinched realizing Garo was staring straight at me. "Wakey wakey, time to get a move on."

We walked through a neighborhood as I wrapped my hoodie around my waist. "Where are we even going?"

"Before we can do anything, I need you to do something for me." I questioned him as he walked up to a small group of Class C heroes. He grabbed the one about to punch him from behind as I flinched. "Heal my wrist or I kill these heroes."

"No." I said as he grinned and immediately pummeled them to the ground. "Stop!"

I walked up to him, grinding my teeth as I healed his wrist and healed their faces.

"Now was that so hard?" I folded my arms as he grinned. "I think I'll like having you around."

How the hell am I going to get out of this?

3rd person POV

Saitama arrived at the hospital curious about the Human Monster Garo, and very worried about his soon to be wife.

"I'm glad you came to visit me, Saitama-kun." Mumen said. Saitama honestly did want to visit his friend, but also wanted intel about the villain.

"Sure. Can I put the bananas here?" Saitama pulled the bananas out of the bag and placed it on the nightstand, immediately pulling one off and eating it.

"Of course you're eating them." Mumen said a bit disappointingly.

"It was all over the Hero Association newspaper. A single monster took out dozens of heroes. Glad to see you made it out alive. Here, have a banana." Saitama placed a single banana on Mumen's bed.

"He was a human. A human calling himself a monster. But he's strong. He's a terrifyingly strong human. If it wasn't for (L/n)-san, I probably would've died."

"Who was stronger, the fish monster, or him?" Saitama asked.

"Hmm... the Deep Sea King was pretty insane, but there's something different this time." Mumen admitted.

"His techniques." Saitama and Mumen turned to the other side of the room as another person joined their conversation. "He's an expert martial artist. It appears that Silverfang raised one nasty monster. The only one who was able to stand up to him was that woman."

Saitama pulled the curtain back as he didn't recognize the Class S hero in front of him.

"This dude just jumped into our conversation. Do you have any idea who he is?" Saitama whispered to Mumen loudly as the Class S hero sighed.

"You know, he's the Class S hero, Tank-Top Master." Mumen tried to jog Saitama's memory as he remembered.

"Oh yeah, you were in the paper too. It said you got your ass beat the worst." Saitama said a bit annoyed as the hero mentioned his love.

"Can't you just say I stood my ground the most?!" Tank-Top Master yelled. "Damn, to think I'd let such a kid get the better of me... martial arts can be such a pain in the ass."

"Martial arts?" Saitama questioned before giving Tank-Top Master a banana. "Here, have a banana."

"Oh, thanks."

"Now, can you tell me more about this guy?" Saitama thought he was just worried about the villain wreaking havoc among the heroes, but he's mistaken. He's actually very nervous for the safety of his love as he hasn't seen her since she left with Charanko.

(Y/n)'s POV

It was dusk as we walked through another neighborhood. "Why won't you tell me anything about the Hero Association?"

"Because I don't want to help out a villain!" I snapped back at him as he pouted, looking across the park.

"Boo, you're no fun. But that just makes you cuter!" I groaned, stopping a bit when I saw a boy on a park bench. "Bingo."

He appeared next to the kid as I leaned by the park gates, holding back my tears.

"I'm so weak when it comes to others. But it's not like I can just leave someone begging to be saved." I looked over at Garo as he waved me over. "Let's see how I'm gonna escape this psycho."

"Wow! It's the hero (L/n)-san!" The boy yelled as I smiled, glaring at Garo.

"Say, if she gives you her autograph and takes a picture, will you lend me the book?" I glanced at the book, realizing it was filled with information on heroes.

"Sure!" The boy gave Garo the book, immediately hugging me as I gave a tiny smile to the boy. "Are you really (L/n)-san?"

"Of course, and you must be a fan, right?" He nodded as I laughed. "You're a brave kid, I'm glad you're my fan."

"I'm not brave, I cry all the time and can't make friends." He admitted as I huffed and patted his head.

"Who says crying makes you weak? Crying makes you stronger and willing to open up to others. And who says you don't have friends? I'm your friend right?" He smiled brightly as I didn't care about my situation for a second. "Then you're brave. The strongest I know!"

"Thanks (L/n)-san! Thanks old man!" The boy left with my autograph, smiling and waving as I sat on the bench.

"He called you old man." I said before cackling. "How old are you?"

"18." Garo mumbled out, flipping through the book as I laughed harder.

"And he called you old man?! I am so sorry but that's funny!" I laughed more, dying down after a bit as Garo stared at me with a smirk. "What?"

"Can I keep you forever?" I deadpanned as he grinned.

"First of all, I'm 26. Second, I'm already in love with someone else. And third, you're insane." I numbered off my list as he stood up.

"Killjoy. We're going." I stood up with him wondering where we're headed off to. "Just going to meet up with some Class A heroes is all."

We finally arrived at a bar as it was already nighttime. We walked inside, immediately walking up to Golden Ball as he recognized me.

"You must be the Class A hero, Golden Ball." He turned towards Garo as I stepped back. "I have some business with you. Step outside for a bit."

"Hey, you're that girl from before... the seaweed monster!" Golden Ball stared at me as I smiled uncomfortably. "Is this man harassing you? Sit down with me."

"She's staying with me." Garo said as Golden Ball looked back at his drink.

"Fine, then let me at least enjoy a drink first." Golden Ball was about to take a sip as Garo cut the drink in half, spilling it everywhere. "Hey, what the hell?! Jeez, what a waste."

I stared at the encounter between the two, feeling a bit queasy.

"Sure, wild guy. There's a parking lot nearby. Let's go there." Golden Ball got up to leave with us as I didn't move.

"Eh? Come on (L/n)." I glared at him for a second, walking over to the waiter and grabbing the beer. I downed it all in one go, feeling a bit more relaxed afterwards.

"Okay let's go." I said, thankfully slipping a note to the waiter unnoticed.

We walked through an alleyway as Golden Ball spoke up. "Every once in a while, I get punks who want to challenge a pro hero. This is your chance to bail."

"Shut up, you drunk. I'm—" before Garo could finish his sentence, Golden Ball sent one of his bullets towards Garo, cutting his cheek. "You bastard."

"You're way too lax, hero hunter. I recognized you immediately since you have (L/n) with you." I looked at Golden Ball as he smirked. "Run off, (L/n), I'll take care of him."

"But—"

"Go!" I grit my teeth, turning and running out of the alleyway, hearing Garo laugh.

"Don't worry, I'll find you later."

I kept running, ending up in the middle of a strip mall as I caught my breath.

"I think I'm far enough away." I said to myself, nearly shitting my pants when I heard his voice.

"Found you~" I turned around to look at him as he grabbed my wrist, pulling me with him. "Those Class A heroes were great, can you heal my cheek?"

I used my powers, thinking of how beaten up they are as I finally cried. "Eh? You've finally given up?"

"Oh, hey, I finally found you." I froze, immediately recognizing that voice as Garo looked behind him. "I've been looking for you."

"Sai... tama..." I mumbled out, feeling waves of relief crash over me as Garo looked at me before pulling his hand back and chopping Saitama's shoulder.

Saitama sunk into the ground, unaffected by the hit as he stared at Garo with disappointment. "Huh? What's the big idea? Who the hell are you? What are you doing with my girl? You trying to rob me?" Garo froze as I gasped, watching Saitama raise up his hand. "Don't interfere with my shopping."

Saitama lowered his hand down onto Garo's neck like a guillotine, making him collapse as I immediately hugged him.

"I'm glad you're safe, he didn't hurt you right?" Saitama looked me over as I cried even harder.

"Saitama!" He wiped my tears, kissing my red eyes as I smiled.

"Genos has been worried sick you know? He almost destroyed the apartment after finding out you were missing." Saitama mentioned as I laughed. "Welp, I'm also here to get this."

He picked up an orange colored wig as I stared at it in confusion. "Charanko?"

"Bingo!"

We finally arrived home and after many lectures and more crying, I finally went to sleep in Saitama's arms.

The next day, I sat up from the bed as Genos was peeking into the bathroom.

"What are you doing?" I asked as he flinched, motioning me over to him.

I peeked through the door, freezing when I saw Saitama put on the orange wig he bought last night. He took it off as I was speechless.

"Not bad." He said to himself.

"Sensei..." Saitama and I got major chills from Genos as he walked away from the bathroom. "It bothers you that much..."

"Wait it's not like that." Saitama denied yelling after Genos as Genos pulled out his phone. "I haven't decided to wear a wig for the rest of my life or anything."

"Doctor Kuseno. It's me, Genos." Genos ignored Saitama as he explained the situation. "There's something I'd like to discuss immediately. Saitama-sensei is in a perilous state. Those synthetic hair implants made of reinforced fiber... you said you could implant them into human skin, correct?"

"G-Genos..." I tried to get his attention as he continued on the phone.

"Yes, that's right. I believe I'll need them after all. So black is one of the color options? If we decide to go forward with the operation, when will you be available?" I stood there with Saitama in the hallway silently as Genos sounded really determined. "The sooner the better? Yes, I'll be accompanying him with (Y/n)-sensei. Understood. Let's go with that day. Thank you for all of your help."

Genos hung up the phone, immediately spinning around to face us as I didn't have the energy to laugh. "Saitama-sensei! Are you free next Wednesday?"

"Stop trying to stick reinforced fiber into my head without my permission. I'm going to enter a martial arts tournament with this." Saitama pulled out the ticket and showed us as we looked at it. "As Charanko."

"It's today?" Genos asked as I fixed the wig a bit on Saitama's head.

"Yup. See you later. I'm gonna go try out this martial arts thing." Saitama started chopping the air as I fainted. "Eh, (Y/n)?!"

_____________

Now THAT was a painful episode to sit through.

I had to cut out a few scenes because they didn't make sense with the reader and I was getting a bit peeved.

Anyways, hoped you enjoyed the chapter, it was actually a really weird way to write, so I had fun!

See ya!
