Third Person POV

(Thoughts)

"Talking"

It was another day in Beacon Academy, classes went by as usual as Team RWBY, JNPR, and Y/N were currently in professor Port's class with a majority of the students being bored out of their minds as usual.

Professor Port was just talking about himself and his adventures like he always does as Y/N had his hand on his chin and was dozing off trying to not fall asleep.

Weiss was sitting in front of Y/N resting her hands on her chin looking bored as well, even though a lot of the other students decided to just tune him out and fall asleep she still decided to pay a little bit of attention to what the man was spouting until the discussion was over.

Jaune who was sitting next to Weiss had scooted a little closer to her.

Jaune: "So Weiss I was thinking we could go grab a bite to eat?"

Jaune did not get a response back as Weiss either didn't hear what he said or just completely ignored him, but Jaune being the stubborn person that he is didn't let this discourage him.

Jaune: "You know I-I um got two tickets to that Spruce Willis movie if you wanna make the trip to Vale, I heard it's awesome."

Weiss: "........."

Jaune: "And maybe after that we could study together? I mean you're smart and I'm a......"

Weiss had looked at her clock and raised her head up when it beeped and it was now 4:00 PM.

Port: "And then I....."

Port: "Oh I timed that one wrong I guess, well the stunning conclusion to this story will have to wait until next time."

Y/N: (Yawns) (Thoughts) Finally class is over, any longer, and I probably would've slammed my head through the table.

Jaune: "Hey Weiss did you hear me?"

Weiss: (Gets up and walks away) "No. No. No. Yes."

Jaune had sighed in disappointment and put his head on the table.

Yang: (Ruffles Jaunes hair) "One day."

Y/N: "Hey Jaune are you ok?"

Jaune: "Not really."

Y/N: "Weiss gave you the cold shoulder again huh?"

Jaune: (Raises his head up) "I don't understand, I keep trying to win her affection but she just seems to reject me every single time no matter what I do."

Y/N: "Then why do you keep trying? What do you even see in her?" Y/N said as he tilted his head in confusion not understanding why a person would go through such harsh rejections and keep pursuing that person.

Jaune opens his mouth to speak but no words came out, he stops and actually starts to think about that for a second, I mean sure he thinks Weiss is really beautiful but he really didn't know all that much about her, and they don't even talk to each other that much other than his pointless attempts in trying to woo her.

Jaune: "I............ I don't know, but I think under all her cold and harsh exterior, is a really nice girl deep down, so maybe if I keep trying she'll hopefully give me a chance."

Y/N: "Well I wish you good luck with that." He said as he patted Jaune on the shoulder.

Jaune: (Smiles) "Thanks Y/N."

(Timeskip)

Team RWBY's Dorm

Y/N is waiting outside wearing a (T/C) tracksuit while all of the girls were in their dorm room as Y/N was waiting for them to get dressed.

Y/N: "How long does it take for those girls to get dressed? I've been out here for almost 30 minutes now."

Ruby: "You can come in now Y/N!"

Y/N: "About time."

Y/N opened the door and saw the girls wearing their new outfits for today's secret mission.

Ruby: "So Y/N how do you like my outfit?"

Y/N: (Pats her head) "You look really nice."

Ruby: (Blushes) "Thanks."

Yang: (Grins) "What about me Y/N? Obviously, you think my outfit is the best right?"

Weiss: "This isn't a competition you know?"

Yang: (Smirks) "Is little miss Ice queen jealous that Y/N probably likes my outfit more than yours?"

Weiss: (Scoffs) "As if! My outfit is top of the line while yours makes you look some uptight tomboy!"

Ruby: (Gasps) "U-Uh Weiss I think you should apol-"

Weiss: "Not now Ruby!"

Yang: (Growls as her eyes turn red) "Who are you calling a Tomboy!? At least I don't look like some prissy stuck-up rich girl who shows off her clothes to people who don't even have enough money to buy it!"

Weiss: "Excuse me!? How dare you say that about me, that isn't my intention at all!"

Weiss + Yang: (Quickly runs over to Y/N) "Y/N! Who's outfit do you like the best!?"

Y/N: "I don't think my opinion really matters-"

Weiss + Yang: "Just answer the question!"

Y/N: "Ok then if you really wanna know I think it's.....................Blake."

Yang + Weiss: "What!?"

Blake: "Huh? Me?"

Y/N: "You look good Blake, it suits you really well." Y/N said as he smiled and give a thumbs up."

Blake: "Uh t-thank you Y/N, I appreciate it." She said as she smiled with a tint of pink on her cheeks.

Yang and Weiss sighed as they glanced at each other and just crossed their arms and looked away.

Ruby: "Moving on.........today it's time for our mission, the investigation begins!"

Y/N: "Wait that's today?"

Weiss: "Of course it is you idiot, what else are we getting dressed up for?"

Weiss: "And speaking of clothes, (Weiss walks right up to Y/N and points at him) you need a bigger wardrobe, what you mainly wear is that ridiculous yellow jumpsuit all day. I will not allow a member on our team to look so improper!"

Y/N: "Hey lay off on the jumpsuit already!"

Yang: "Weiss does have a point Y/N, maybe we should all taking you shopping with us next time~"

Ruby: "Oh that's a great idea Yang!"

Blake: "I'm fine with it."

Weiss: "For once I agree with her."

Y/N: (Deadpans) "Don't I have a say in this?"

RWBY: "NO."

Y/N: (Sighs) "Whatever, anyway what are we all doing again?"

Weiss: "Ruby and I are heading to the CCT to check the Schnee records for any other dust robberies or inconsistencies, seeing as I am in the family it shouldn't be a problem at all."

Blake: "The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members, if I could get in I could hopefully find out what they're planning."

Yang: (Crosses her arms) "I have an old friend on the shady side of town who knows everything going on in Vale, getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard."

Ruby: "And all that leaves is you Y/N, since you're the strongest person on the team you'll be our backup just in case anything goes wrong!"

Y/N: (Glances at the window and sees a shadow figure outside the window)"I think there's someone outside out the window."

Everyone turns to see Sun now hanging from the window upside down with his tail.

Sun: "Sup guys!"

Yang: "Sun?! How did you get up there?"

Sun: "That's easy I do it all the time!"

Weiss: "You do what?!"

Sun: "I climb trees all the time!"

Sun: (Flips into the room) "So we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?"

Blake: "We are going to investigate the situation, as a Team."

Ruby: "Sorry Sun, we don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to."

Sun: "Pfft, that's dumb you should always get friends involved. That's why I brought Neptune."

Everyone looks outside the window to see Neptune standing on the ledge of the window.

Neptune: "Sup."

Ruby: "How did you even get up here?"

Neptune: "I have my ways........seriously can I come in we're like really high up right now." He said as he moving slowly towards the window.

Blake: (Sighs) "It's not like we can say no now, just make sure you don't fall."

Neptune: "Don't worry I won-"

A piece of the ledge breaks under Neptune's foot and he lost his balance and was about to fall.

Neptune: "AHHHHHHHHHH!"

Before Neptune fell he felt someone quickly grab the back of his collar, and saw that it was Y/N that saved him.

Neptune: "Oh man I thought I was a goner for sure, thanks for saving me man!"

Y/N: "No problem."

Once everyone was inside Ruby started to go over the plan again.

Ruby: "Alright Sun you can go with Blake, (Drags Neptune over to Yang), and Neptune you can go with Yang since she doesn't have a partner."

Y/N: "Wait so who am I going with?"

Before anyone could say anything Yang rushed over to Y/N and put a arm around his shoulder.

Yang: (Smiles) "You're coming with me Y/N!"

Weiss: "Um actually Ruby why don't you go with Yang? After all, she is your sister."

Ruby: "But Weiss who would go with you then?"

Weiss: "Well I guess Neptune can come with me, or Y/N just in case I get into any trouble."

Ruby: (Laughs) "Nah!"

Weiss: (Gets dragged out of the room by Ruby) "But-but!"

(Timeskip)

Ruby: "Wow! I forgot how big the transit tower looks up close!"

Weiss: "You should see the one in Atlas."

Ruby: "They were the first one right?"

Weiss: "Atlas developed the cross contential transit system to allow the four kingdoms to communicate with one another. It was their gift to the world after the great war."

Ruby: "Oh look at me my names Weiss, I know facts, I'm rich." Ruby mocked while starting to laugh.

Weiss: "Don't be a pest. Besides the only reason we're here is because you like the tower so much, we could have easily just made a call from the library."

Ruby: "I know but it's so cool! I'm gonna take a picture!" Ruby exclaimed getting out her scroll but she had dropped it on the ground as it landed by someone's feet.

Penny: "Oh you dropped this."

Ruby: "Penny?"

Penny: "Uhhh......"

Ruby: "Where have you been? We haven't seen you since the night of the docks."

Penny: "Sorry I think you're confused." Penny replied as she hiccups as Ruby's Scroll landed back in her hands.

Penny: "I.......I have to go." Penny said while quickly walking away.

Weiss: "What was that about?"

Ruby: "I don't know but I'm gonna find out, (Walks away) you go make your call I'll meet up with you later!"

Weiss: "Wait! Ugh!"

Ruby: "Penny! Where have you been? It's been weeks."

Penny; "There seems to be a misunderstanding."

Ruby: "Penny wait is everything okay?"

Penny: "......"

Ruby: "Penny please stop! Look I don't know what's wrong but you have to listen to me. Those guys we fought at the docks we think they're up to something big, something bad. I need you to tell me what happened to you that night, please as a friend."

Penny: (Sighs)

Penny looks around the area before walking up to Ruby and started to whisper to her.

Penny: "It isn't safe to talk here."

Weiss was now walking in the CCT tower as she started to get on the elevator.

???: "Hello welcome to the CCT how may I help you today?"

Weiss: "I'd like to go the communications room please."

???: "Absolutely. Would you please place your scroll on the terminal to verify your identity?"

Weiss pulls out her scroll and held it up, a couple of seconds passed before the voice was heard again.

???: "Perfect. Thank you Ms. Schnee."

Once her verification was confirmed the elevator started and took her to the communications room.

She walked up to the front desk and saw a projection of a woman.

???: "Welcome to the Beacon continental cross transmit center. How may I help you?"

Weiss: "I need to make a call to Schnee company world headquarters in Atlas."

???: "Absolutely. If you can head over to terminal 3 I'll patch you through."

Weiss: "Thank you."

Weiss walks over to where terminal 3 is as she sits down and make a call on the computer. The screen turned on which showed another projection of a woman.

???: "Thanks for calling the- Oh! Ms. Schnee good afternoon. Would you like me to patch you through to your father? I think your sister Winter might be here as well.

Weiss: "No thank you. I was actually wondering if you can find some files for me. I've compiled a short list." She said as she inserted her Scroll.

???: "I see. If you don't mind, what may I ask is this for?"

Weiss: "School Project."

???: "Um....there are some sensitive documents on this list ma'am."

Weiss: "Well then I'll be sure to treat them with care."

???: "Right. Very well, the data is being transfered to your scroll now."

Weiss: "Wonderful! That'll be all then."

???: "Are you sure you wouldn't like me to patch you through to your father before you go?"

Weiss: (Smiles) "Yes I'm sure."

???: "Well then have a nice day."

The screen turned off as Weiss had lost her smile and looked a little sad.

Penny was now looking around the streets of Vale as she felt someone touch her shoulder and saw Ruby grinning at her. She smiled back as they started walking along the pavement.

Penny: "I wish I can help you Ruby, but I don't know anything about those men."

Ruby: "Well what happened to you that night? We were all together and you just dissappeared, were you kidnapped?"

Penny: "Oh no! Nothing like that!"

Ruby: "Well then where did you go?"

Penny: "I've never been to another kingdom before, my father asked me not to venture out too far but.......you have to understand my father loves me very much he worries a lot about me."

Ruby: (Rolls her eyes) "Believe me I know the feeling."

Ruby: "But why not let us know you were ok?"

Penny: "I was asked not to talk to you. Or Weiss, or Blake, or Yang, anybody really.........and even Y/N! But for some reason it was VERY specific with him."

Ruby: "Was your dad that upset?"

Penny: "No it wasn't my father."

???: "The AK-130 has been a standard security moral of Remnant for several years. And they've done a fine job wouldn't you agree? Wouldn't you agree?"

They both look to see a Projection of James Ironwood as the robots bowed.

Ironwood: "But the Kingdom of Atlas is a Kingdom of innovation. And fine? Well that's just not good enough is it?"

A door to the cases in the back opens as more advanced looking robots were shown.

Ironwood: "Presenting the Atlesain Knight 200!" He presented as there was a round of applause.

Ironwood: "Smarter, Sleeker, and admittedly a little less scary. These models will become active later this year but they won't be alone. The Atlesain military support the idea of moving men from the dangers of the battlefield. However there are still many situations that require a human touch."

Penny: (Nervous) "Ruby...."

Ironwood: "So our kingdoms greatest minds in cooperation with the Schnee dust company are proud to introduce the Atlesain paladin!"

A hologram of a large white behemoth of a robot was shown as people started to clap again.

Ironwood: "Now we couldn't have them here for you today, but these mechanized battlesuits will be seen defending the borders of our kingdom within the year!"

Ruby was hunched down looking really amazed at what she was seeing as Penny took a step back.

Penny: "Ruby? Maybe we should go somewhere else."

Penny had stared at two armored soldiers who seemed to have noticed her and she started running away.

Ruby: "Penny where are you going?!"

Ruby looked to see two soldiers coming in their direction and quickly ran as well to catch up with Penny.

Soldier: "Down here she went this way!" He gestured to his companion.

As the soldiers chased the both of them across the street, a honking car passing by hit one of them while bracing his hands on the hood which had stopped the vehicle as his companion continued chasing after them.

Ruby was still trying to catch up with Penny, she then noticed a stack of crates on some fragile support as she quickly used Cresent Rose to cut it down which caused an avalanche of boxes to come tumbling down blocking the soldiers path.

Ruby with quick thinking had ran across the wall and jumped off to grab Penny around her waist.

Ruby: "This way!"

Ruby grimaced a little before they dissappeared in a trail of rose pedals.

Ruby was straining a bit and was starting to lose control, they soon crashed into the ground with Ruby tumbling onto the street.

Feeling a little dazed Ruby slowly gets up only to hear a honk of a large trunk behind her telling her to get out of the way. But as soon as Ruby turned around and was about to get hit Penny quickly pushes her out of the way and holds her hands out.

Penny easily catches the truck when they make contact as the ground breaks beneath her as she lifts it up and puts it back on the ground with pure strength.

The shopkeeper in the truck stares in awe just like Ruby who was completely shocked at what she'd seen.

Ruby: "Penny?"

Penny: (Concerned) "Are you okay?!" She asked the shopkeeper.

Shopkeeper: "Uh-huh." He nods still a little scared.

Penny slowly backs away and glances at Ruby and sees her looking terrified. Then some bystanders around the area started murmuring to each other.

???: "Did you see that?"

???: "Oh my god!"

???: "Do you think she's okay?"

Penny in a panic runs away again at seeing the Atlas soldiers again and bumps into Ruby.

Ruby: "Penny come back!"

Ruby runs after her again as the people are still discussing what happened as the Atlas soldiers finally show up at the scene.

Penny stops running when she gets to an alleyway frantically looking around.

Penny: "Um.....Uh."

Ruby: "Penny please what is going on!? Why are you running?! How did you do that?!"

Penny: "I.......I can't everything's fine! (Hiccups) I don't want to talk about it!" (Hiccups)

Ruby: "Penny If you can just tell me what's wrong I can help you!"

Penny: (Turns away) "No! No! No! You wouldn't understand."

Ruby: "Let me try! You can trust me!"

Penny: (Turns around and walks up to Ruby) "You're my friend right?! You promise you're my friend?!"

Ruby: "I promise."

Penny: (Looks down at her hands and shows her palms to Ruby) "Ruby.........I'm not a real girl."

Ruby looks at Pennys sad face as she looked at her palms and sees her skin has melted away which showed the gray metal underneath it.

Ruby: "Oh..."

Hey guys I've finally gotten a chapter out again for this story.

Like I've discussed about in the other authors notes, chapters will be out more now but the length will now be shorter than what I'm used to writing so save time and energy for me.
