('Thoughts')

"Talking"

Y/N was peacefully sleeping in his dorm and suddenly started to wake up with a feeling of terror.

Y/N: "Don't come asking to play rock, paper, scissors, with a booger on your finger!"

Y/N looks around the dorm room and notices that it was just a dream.

Y/N: "Damn it.....ever since Sensei told me about that dream, It made me have a nightmare of it."

The loud noise that Y/N made had woken up all of Team RWBY.

Ruby: "Ahh! What was that?! Are we under attack!?"

Y/N: "Huh?.....no sorry, I just had an unpleasant dream."

Weiss: (Scowls) "Do you really have to make such a loud ruckus this early in the morning!? I was enjoying my beauty sleep you know!?"

Blake: (Gets up and rubs her eyes while letting out a small groan) "Shut up.......you're not making it any better."

Y/N: (Sigh) "Look I'm sorry ok? Anyway, Blake do you have any other books for me to read? I'm feeling bored."

As the cat girl heard this Blake was now fully awake as she smiled and immediately stood up from the bed.

Blake: "Of course! Which genre do you want to read?! Because I have so many, the possibilities are endless!"

Blake stood up and quickly started searching for books at a rapid pace which made her teammates sweatdrop.

Yang: (Sighs) "There she goes again."

Y/N: "If you have any, I'd like to read an action book, please."

Blake: "Action huh? Oh, I think I have some of those!"

Blake began taking out many books that were action-themed and hand them over to Y/N.

Blake: "I'm sure you'll like this, this, this, ooh this, and also this!"

Y/N at this point had a massive stack of books in his hand as Blake smiled.

Blake: (Smiles) "I hope you like them!"

Y/N: "Yeah this should be good enough, Thanks, Blake." Y/N said with a small smile.

Blake: "No problem."

Blake was now in a good mood as she got her school uniform and happily walked into the bathroom to get dressed.

Ruby: "Well.......that just happened."

Yang: (Raises a brow) "You're not gonna tell me you're actually gonna read all of that, huh Y/N?"

Y/N: "If I did that it'll be pretty disrespectful to Blake, so I'll do it anyway."

Y/N picked out the first book he grabbed out of the pile of books and started to read it.

Ruby: (Shocked) "No way! Y/N's actually gonna do it!?"

Yang: "Oh come on Y/N, don't be so boring like Blake and Weiss."

Weiss: "Hey!"

Yang: "You don't need to spend your time reading some dusty old books, why don't you and I go hang out with each other? (Smirks) If you do, you'll have a lot of fun~ You won't regret it."

Weiss: (Annoyed) "This is way too early for that Yang!"

Yang: (Smirks) "Why Weiss cream? Jealous?......."

Weiss: (Blushes and scoffs as she crosses her arms) "W-What are you talking about?! As if! Hmph!"

Y/N: "Nah I'm good, since Blake picked out all these books for me that she was sure I would like, I don't want her efforts to be wasted, so I'll just continue to read them. Also, you can be really weird at times Yang."

Yang lowers her head in disappointment once again at Y/N's rejection.

Yang: (Thoughts) Rejected again! I haven't even seen him blush ONCE! What kind of guy is he?! Is he even human?

Ruby laughs at her as Weiss smirked.

Weiss: "Hmph! Serves you right Yang, I suppose that's one thing we can agree on Y/N."

Y/N: "You shouldn't be talking as well Weiss, because you can be really mean and act like a Karen sometimes."

Weiss: "W-What!? T-That is not true!"

Y/N: "Didn't you scold me like last week, for EXACTLY half an hour just because I didn't remember to buy a couple of things at the store?"

During all this time, Y/N had finished reading almost half of the books Blake had given him.

Weiss: "That's exactly the reason why I did that! You're too lazy Y/N! You do nothing but sit around here all day and play video games, read Ruby's comics or Blake's Books!"

Y/N: "That's exactly my point. Also......I LAY around all day, not sit around all day, thank you very much."

Weiss: "It doesn't change the fact that you're still lazy!"

Ruby: "Uhhh.......Weiss?"

Weiss: "What?!"

Ruby: "What time is it?"

Weiss: "What are you talking about it's only- 8:50?!"

Weiss quickly gets out of her bed and starts gathering her school uniform.

Yang: "Uhh.....What's up, Weiss?"

Weiss: "Class starts in 10 minutes, you dolts! We're about to be late again!"

Y/N: "Huh?"

Weiss: "You heard me, you idiot!"

Weiss runs to the bathroom and starts pounding on the door.

Weiss: "Blake Belladonna, come out of that bathroom this instant!"

Blake comes out of the door in her Beacon Uniform.

Blake: "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Weiss shoves Blake out of the way and slams the door shut. Blake was about to fall on the ground but was caught by Y/N.

Y/N: "That was close, you alright?"

Blake: (Glares at the Bathroom door) "Yeah thanks for that, what was her problem?"

Y/N: "She's just catching another hissy fit because we might be late for class again. Also, I finished all of the books you gave me."

Blake: "Really?! That fast!?"

As this was going on Ruby was running around the room trying to find her red cape and was surprisingly already dressed in her uniform, Yang was casually leaning on the wall near the bathroom door with her arms crossed.

Yang: "You done In there Weiss? If you haven't noticed, OTHER people need to get dressed too."

Weiss: (Opens the door in her Beacon Uniform and glares at Yang) "I don't have time for your foolishness right now! If you haven't noticed we are gonna be late!

Yang: (Rolls her eyes) "Big deal, who cares? I don't know why you're making such a fuss about this."

Yang walked past her into the bathroom and shut the door in her face.

Weiss: "How rude! I wasn't finished talking to you!"

Y/N: "And that is why I get along more with Ruby and Blake instead of those two."

Ruby: (Dashes in front of Y/N) "Y/N this is really bad, if I'm late again for Professor Port's class he's gonna make me stay for extra lessons! Do you know how horrible that is!?"

Y/N: (Whistles) "Yikes.....that is bad. Hold on I'll help you out."

Y/N got up and was already in his hero suit and grabbed Ruby and Blake, Y/N then dashed out of the room at an insane speed and was instantly in Professor Ports Class.

Ruby: (Shocked) "We're......already here?"

Blake: "Ugh.........I feel a little dizzy."

Y/N put them down as they all went to their seats, Y/N had made sure to grab another one of Blake's books to take with him as he started reading it.

Surprisingly......No-body in the class noticed that Y/N and the others were even here.

Weiss was still waiting for Yang to come out of the bathroom with her arms crossed.

Weiss: "How long are you gonna take Xiao Long?! We don't have any more time to waste!"

Yang: (Opens the door) "Be quiet already, I'm already done!"

Weiss: "Ugh....finally! Took you long enough, now come on we have to go now!"

Yang: (Rolls her eyes) "Whatever you say, your highness......Ruby are you guys- Huh? Where did they go?"

Weiss: (Widens her eyes as she turns around and saw that the rest of her teammates were gone) "Did they leave without us and didn't say anything!"

Yang: "Yep it looks like it."

Weiss: (Growls) "They are gonna pay for this!"

She runs out the door as Yang just followed her.

In Professor Ports' class, Y/N was sitting down with his arms crossed and eyes closed and was looking very intense and deep in thought.

Y/N: (Thoughts) I wonder.........if money grows on trees?

Jaune was sitting in a row in front of Y/N as he was resting his hand on his face.

Jaune: (Yawns) "Man I'm so tired......."

Jaune starts to look around the room and turns back to see Y/N, Ruby, and Blake.

Jaune: "When did you guys get here? And what's up with Y/N he looks kinda.........intense."

Ruby: (Shrugs her shoulders) "I don't know, Y/N just picked us up, and boom! We're here."

Blake: "Yeah......and Y/N's just........thinking to himself again."

Jaune: "I.....I see I guess that's nice?"

Port: "Alright class it's almost time for our lesson to start and oh boy do I have a bunch of stories to tell all of you about how I faced many different kinds of Grimm back in my early days!"

Y/N: (Thoughts) Oh god........not this again. I wonder where those two are?

Weiss and Yang were running through the hallways of Beacon.

Weiss: "How did they get to class so fast!?"

Yang: "How the hell should I know?!"

Y/N: (Thoughts) Meh.....they'll be ok.

Y/N: "Hey Blake, could I ask you something?"

Blake: (Briefly looks up from her book) "Hmm? What is it Y/N?"

Y/N: "I wanna know, how do I talk to girls better?"

Blake: "W-What?" Blake said as she was kinda caught off guard by that.

Y/N: "How do I talk to girls better?"

Blake: (Thoughts) Why does he want to know that? He already talks to me and my other teammates just fine.....and more importantly, why is he asking me?

Blake: "Why are you asking me? You talk to Ruby and the others just fine in my opinion."

Y/N: "Yeah......but out of everyone on the team, you seem more mature than all of them, plus I just wanna know so I don't really seem like an asshole to people."

Y/N actually remembered back when talking to some short green-haired girl named Tatsumaki who was actually a young woman, but she kind of looked like a child in his opinion, he made the mistake of calling her this when he bumped into her one day and she started insulting him and his hero rank by calling him a class B nobody. He ignored her and walked home but not before feeling massive chunks of rocks hit him and send him flying across the area, but he wasn't affected by it at all and just continued on with his day.

Blake: "I see........well have you tried smiling more? That's the first step to making people think you're nice enough to talk to.

Blake: (Thoughts) Not like I'm one to talk.

Y/N: "I might try it but no promises......anyway you got any more?"

Blake: "You could also try to listen more to what people have to say. No offense but your attention span is very low."

Y/N: (Sighs) "I know but it's like some people go on and on and never stop talking like a broken record, it gets really frustrating and annoying you know?"

Blake: "Some people are like that....maybe you should give them more of a chance. It might work out for you."

Y/N: "I'll remember that, but again no promises."

Blake: "Have you also tried hanging out with people more? Do you have any friends other than us?"

Y/N: (Thoughts) Besides you guys and team JNPR, the only other friends I have and hang out with are my Sensei, Genos, and King, oh and that other guy who rides a bike.

Y/N: "Not really."

Blake: "Well those are some options you could try, but other than that I don't think anything else would be of help."

Y/N: (Smiles) Yeah, anyway thanks for the help, Blake.

Blake: (Smiles) "No problem, Y/N." She said as she went back to her book.

Port: "Alright everyone! The bell is about to ring so we can now start with the lesso-"

The door to the room burst open revealing Weiss and Yang who looked out of breath as everyone in class turned to look at them.

Y/N: "I wonder what took them so long?"

Weiss: (Pants) "Please don't tell me we're late?"

When she said that, the bell had now rung.

Port: "Not quite, although I expected you to be here much earlier Ms. Schnee."

Weiss: "S-Sorry sir it won't happen again."

Port: (Nods) "Alright then, you two can go ahead and take your seats."

Weiss and Yang made their way to their seats as Yang sat next to Ruby, and Weiss sat next to Blake.

Y/N: "Hey what was the hold-up?"

Weiss: (Glares and growls at Y/N) Shut it!

Weiss turned to look at the front of the room with a scowl on her face.

Y/N: (Deadpans) "And this is exactly why talking to girls and making friends can be hard at times because of people like Weiss."

Professor Port was going on with his lesson talking about boring stuff as usual as Blake was still reading her book, Weiss was taking down notes, Ruby was asleep, Yang was bored out of her mind, and Jaune like Ruby was asleep as well.

Y/N struggled to not fall asleep but eventually gave in as he laid his head on Blake's shoulder. Blake felt something hit her shoulder as she turns to see Y/N sleeping peacefully.

Blake blushes a little and gently shook him a bit to wake him up but he wasn't responding as he lightly snored.

Blake: (Thoughts) I'll just let him sleep until class ends, I guess I don't mind it. H-He does look cute when he sleeps though.

(Timeskip)

After another long and boring lecture, professor Port's class was coming to an end and it was about time to go.

Port: "And then I-"

The school bell rang.

Port: "Oh looks like I lost track of time.....well I guess that's all for today's class, make sure to study for the upcoming test next week, class is dismissed."

Almost all the students started to get up and leave as Pyrrha woke Jaune up, and Ruby woke up and yawned when she heard the bell.

Blake: "I guess it's time to go."

Blake starts to shake Y/N awake.

Blake: "Y/N? Y/N?????? Wake up. Class is over."

Y/N: (Yawns) "It's over already?"

Blake: (Nods) "Yep the bell just rung."

Y/N: (Stands up) "Sorry for sleeping on you by the way."

Blake: (Blushes) "I-It's fine.....I didn't mind it."

Y/N: (Shrugs) "Alright then."

As Blake and the others left professor Port's class they went to another class, and when that was over it was now time for combat class with Professor Goodwitch. Most people liked and hated this class as Team RWBY + Y/N and JNPR and some other students were in their combat outfits.

Glynda: "Alright everyone, let's not waste any more time and get started.

Glynda: "Now then who wants to volunteer?"

Yang: (Raises her hand and smirks) "I will!"

Glynda: "Ok then Ms. Xiao Long, let me find you an opponent."

Glynda scans the students and her eyes rested on Y/N.

Glynda: "How about you Mr. Y/N?"

Y/N: (Stoic) "Ok. Whatever."

Glynda: "You don't really participate in class much so this is a good chance to see your skills and what you need to work on. Now then both of you make your way to the arena."

Yang was surprised that she was going up against Y/N but grinned since she now has an actual challenge and made her way to the arena. Y/N stood up to leave as well and when they got there, both of them stood a few feet apart from each other in the arena.

Jaune: "Hey who do you guys think will win?"

Blake + Ren: "Y/N."

Nora: "I don't really care who wins! I just want to see a good fight! Come on guys give it everything you got!"

Pyrrha: "They both are exceptionally skilled, but Y/N surpasses her when it comes to raw strength."

Ruby: "Um........I don't.........know."

Ruby really didn't want to choose if she was being honest, because she didn't want to pick her sister or her crush over the other.

Glynda: "Alright then it looks like you both are ready, now then begin!"

Yang: (Grins and cocks her gauntlets) I'm not gonna go easy on you big guy~ I hope you're ready for me."

Y/N honestly didn't know what to do for this fight, he didn't want to make it seem like he would toy around with her in their fight but he also didn't want to go all out as well, but since she seemed very eager to face him, he'll at least put in some effort into it while fighting her out of respect as his opponent.

Y/N: (Smiles and holds out a fist and clenches it) "Bring it on. Don't hold back."

Yang: (Smirks) "Oh, believe me, I won't."

Yang gets into a fighting stance as she shot two shotgun shells at Y/N and charges at him. Y/N quickly raised his hand and blocked it with his forearm which caused a lot of dust to form in the air.

Yang rushed in through the smoke and jumped up in the air and attempted to land a punch in Y/N's face. Y/N blocked the punch with his palm as he grabbed Yang by the arm and threw her across the arena, but he somehow miscalculated how hard to throw her as she flew across the arena.

Yang: "Whoa!"

She cocked her gauntlets and shot them behind her to push her forward so she wouldn't fall out of the arena, Yang blasted towards Y/N and used her shotgun shells behind her for extra momentum and threw a kick in Y/N's abdomen as the force pushed him back a few meters.

Yang: "Phew.....that was close. (Grins) I admit I wasn't expecting that, you almost caught me off guard there."

Y/N: "Is that all you've got? Or are we done here?"

Yang: (Smirks) "No way! I'm just getting started!"

She increased her speed instantly as she was already in front of Y/N and was throwing an uppercut to his face but Y/N had caught it.

Y/N: "That's better, but not good enough."

Y/N threw her across the arena again as she uses her gauntlets once more to stop herself from falling out once more.

Yang: (Slightly annoyed but smirks) "Is sending me across the arena all you can do Y/N? When are you gonna start fighting back and throw one of those punches of yours huh? Or is that you're just too afraid to hit a woman?"

Y/N: ".............."

Yang: (Smirks) "What's the matter? Could I be right?"

Y/N:

Y/N: "Why should I fight back against someone that can't even land or throw a half-decent punch at me?"

Almost everyone in class ooohed at Y/N's insult as one of Yang's eyes started to twitch almost violently.

Yang: (Slowly closes her eyes) "I see......so you're being cocky now is that right? Alright then......"

Yang: "Well guess what Y/N!? I'm not taking it easy on you anymore!"

Y/N: "Hmmm, nice light show."

With her semblance now activated, Yang dashed forward and cocked her fist back, she landed a fiery punch on Y/N's face making him skid back. She wasn't done as she chased him down and landed a combo of punches on Y/N and then threw an uppercut sending him flying into the air. As Y/N was now in the air she jumped up high above him and landed some more punches before throwing a punch deep in his gut sending him crashing towards the ground creating a small crater as a bunch of dust kicked up.

Yang: (lands on the ground and pants a little) "How's that for a decent punch Y/N?"

As the smoke started to clear up, Y/N got up from the ground, not really fazed by Yang's attacks as he starts dusting himself off.

Y/N: "Not bad at all, alright then...you wanted me to fight back right? Now it's my turn.

Y/N leaned forward a bit as he suddenly disappeared leaving a larger crater than before.

Yang: (Raises her eyes in shock and looks around the arena but couldn't find him) "What the?! W-Where did he go?!"

Yang: (Eyes widened) "What the?!"

Yang suddenly felt massive pressure and killer intent behind her as she turned around and saw Y/N with his fist cocked back, he threw the punch as Yang could only see what looked like to be a big fist heading towards her that spelled nothing but death. Y/N stopped the punch before it hit her as the force from the punch would blow Yang back as she crashed into the wall with her aura now in the red, and she was out of bounds.

Y/N was officially the winner of this match. Everyone looked on in shock as even Glynda herself was surprised by the boy's strength.

Glynda: (Thoughts) How strong is this boy?! That's not normal that's for sure.

Glynda: (Tries to stay composed) T-The winner of this match is Y-Y/N.

A majority of the class was still shocked how easily he beat Yang, as some students started to clap their hands.

Glynda: (Clears her throat) "G-good match Mr. Y/N, you've defeated your opponent although you could improve your awareness more and work on your defense a bit instead of just letting your enemy hit you."

Y/N: (Yawns) "Yeah, I'll keep that in mind."

Yang: (Stands up) "Owww.........damn that hurt, did I lose?"

Y/N: "Yep, you did."

Yang: (Sighs and hides her disappointment and smirks) "Oh well........I'll just have to train even harder so I can beat you next time."

Y/N: (Pats her head) "Don't look so down, you did great."

Yang: "R-Really? You weren't even trying in that match."

Y/N: (Smiles) "Maybe.........but that doesn't mean you did bad."

Yang: (Slightly Blushes) "Well.......if you really think so then I'll take it! You weren't so bad yourself hot stuff~"

Y/N: (Rolls his eyes) "Whatever......thanks anyway, Goldilocks."

Y/N walked away after that as Yang looked at him in shock. Y/N got back to his seat and sat down.

Ruby: "Oh my God! Y/N that match was amazing! You and Yang were going back and forth like Pow! Bang! Whoosh! And then you threw a punch and it just looked so awesome!"

Y/N: "I guess so."

Weiss: (Crosses her arms) "Hmph, I'll admit it was a good match but you could've done better, you had no technique and didn't have proper form at all."

Y/N: (Deadpans) "Do you wanna fight me then Ice Queen?"

Weiss: (Shivers a bit in fear) "N-No! I was just giving some advice that's all."

Y/N: (Rolls his eyes) "Whatever, if you have a problem with that, why don't you teach me how to fight 'properly' instead?"

Weiss: (Smirks) "Well then if you can manage to listen to me for more than 2 minutes then maybe I will teach you everything I know about fighting."

Y/N: "You know what, I'll just ask Pyrrha."

Weiss: "W-What?! H-Hold on! That was a joke right?"

Y/N ignored her and just walked over to Pyrrha.

Y/N: "Hey Pyrrha you're a good fighter, so I wanna see if I can learn more combat moves instead of just throwing punches."

Weiss: (In the distance) "Don't Ignore me!"

Pyrrha: (Surprised) "Oh you wanna learn about combat from me? I mean I can teach you if you really want me to, but I don't think you'll be able to learn that much from me seeing how already good you are at fighting."

Y/N: "But Weiss told me I'm basically an amateur at fighting."

Pyrrha: "I mean you're not really 'bad' at fighting, you just lack proper technique is all. If you don't mind me asking what else did you do besides standard strength training?"

Y/N: "Just punches and kicks, Oh! I think I know some parkour too!"

Pyrrha: "I.....I see, so the only problem is that you haven't been taught how to fight properly. You had a master if I remember correctly right? Did he not teach you anything else? or did you just not understand it?"

Y/N: "Hmmm...He did train me to do his workout method and we also fought that one time."

Pyrrha: "Anything else?"

Y/N: "Nope."

Pyrrha: (Thinks for a second and then nods her head) "Alright then I'll be happy to help you whenever you're ready. (Chuckles) although it is kind of funny since you still are helping Jaune and I train."

Y/N: (Smiles and pats her head) "Awesome."

Pyrrha: (Blushes a bit from the contact) "N-No problem, anything for a friend."

Y/N: "Anyway, Class is almost over, so I'm gonna go and head to the cafeteria to get me some food. See ya later." He said as he walked away.

Pyrrha watches Y/N walk away as Jaune looks at her and chuckles a bit.

Jaune: (Smiles) "That was really nice of you Pyrrha, although it was funny seeing you act like that, maybe you secretly like Y/N and he may possibly like you."

Pyrrha: (Face heats up) "N-No! No, it's not like that at all!"

Jaune: (Playfully rolls his eyes) "Whatever you say Pyrrha."

Pyrrha sighs in disappointment as Nora and Ren shook their head at her.

Ren: "I feel bad for her, but it is her fault for not working up the courage to ask Jaune out."

Nora: "I know.......at this rate she'll never get with him."
