(Y/n) was looking at the sea from the ship's deck when she was hit by a sudden gust of wind. She hastened to hold the hat over her head. She doubted that Ace would be happy if she lost it, even though she hadn't really wanted it. She had been forced to wear it. And all this just because she found herself with an overly jealous boyfriend who couldn't accept the idea that other guys could talk to her or even just watch his (Y/n).

At first Ace had tried to suppress this aspect trying not to make it too obvious, but over time he hadn't been able to contain himself and, in order to avoid unpleasant accidents, he had decided not to leave the girl alone. All things considered, the situation didn't displease much the girl, after all, in doing so she would have had her Ace always with her, but the week before the situation had definitely worsened.

Whitebeard had organized an operation that included the participation of his best commanders, including Ace. (Y/n) was happy with the role Whitebeard continued to give to Ace, even though she knew she would miss the pirate very much. Ace, on the other hand, hadn't taken it in the best possible way; since (Y/n) had entered his life, she had never been asked to participate in operations that would take too long. It was in his desires to stay with her always, but understanding also the risks of the mission he knew that he couldn't risk putting her in danger by taking her with him. He trusted the other members of the crew, but with (y/n) he couldn't reason.

That's why he had an idea that would allow him to get away from her, but that would allow him to remind everyone that she was his girlfriend and that therefore no one could touch her. (Y/n) had tried to oppose it, it seemed rather excessive to her, but in the end she had given in, also because then she would have something of Ace for the whole time that he had been away. And what was this idea? That (y/n) kept the pirate's hat and wore it at all times. Whitebeard had laughed at the girl as well, but he also knew how jealous his commander was.

But now the week of separation would be over and Ace would finally return to her. That's why (y/n) was on the ship's deck watching the horizon. She was anxiously awaiting his return.

She was so taken by the sea that she didn't notice the ruin behind her. Two warm hands covered her eyes. She smiled recognizing Ace. "You're back." "Yes" He whispered and kissed her neck gently. "Did the hat work? No one bothered you during my absence?" (y/n) laughed. "I'd say no. Thanks to you being jealous, no one would ever venture to approach me." "Well, I'm glad. We'll do that next time too." The girl puffed away from the pirate. "You should stop being so jealous." Ace approached (y/n) and stroked her face with one hand. "It's just that... I can't bear to lose you, my love." (y/n) smiled at him. "You will not lose me, Ace. I love you and I don't want anyone else by my side." "I love you too. So much." And they joined their lips in a kiss.
