Law X Reader//Jumps Like Bepo
The sunlight showered the entire tedious room, even if in actuality, it was floating in the smiles of sweet happiness. The light seemed to be transporting the small box into a world full of dancing shadows that had their stage on the pale colored walls.
She felt nostalgia creeping under the small cracks of the wooden door. Perhaps, it was because of the warm, sunny morning embracing her, and, most likely because of his presence.
It was also, maybe, but maybe because of his gentle arms wrapped around her like one uses to assure a fuzzy feeling of comfort.
The soft strands of hair tickling his neck made Law regain his conscience. Instead of brushing away the soft hair, he felt the urge of nuzzling his face in it. And the action had been done as soon as the thought popped in his mind. But, right before drifting into the sweet dreaming land, her voice in a giggle echoed through his ears, a sign for him to tell she felt his movements from before. Her giggling was charming.
Law hated it, because when you're under the so supposed spell of love, every single thing she did made him go nuts to the point he couldn't compare any other giggling more enchanting than hers in this whole world.
It all still felt like a dream to him, and it didn't surprise anyone as he barely gets to sleep due to the work he has to do every single day. Plus the unfaltering insomnia he has to deal with since childhood...And the stubbornness of not wanting the help of the sleeping pills.
She was all he needed. His everlasting medicine and drug.
Unfortunately, the fantasy of sleeping more fell apart when she rolled from his arms, without having the chance of fighting back. It didn't last long, thirty seconds or so until he heard her voice from another room.
''Law!''
He sighed, still lost in his pool of dreams. He threw the sheets over his head but her voice didn't seem to give up any time soon.
A debate was happening inside him, but the victorious party was, as expected, her shouts. So, even if feeling fatigue, he tossed away the blankets and in half naked tattooed skin followed her voice to the kitchen. In his track, Bepo crossed his road in his morning run. Law held a small smile while passing, achieving the chance of scratching the little guy on the fluffy head.
''Help me out with this,'' she pleaded and he peeked over her shoulder to see a green ball, ''You know I'm not good with cutting watermelons.''
The snarky remark couldn't be kept caged in the back of his mind, and it slipped through smirking lips.
''And with cooking in general.''
Out of all the feelings in the world, she chose to spill a laugh, instead of fury, and he secretly smiled because of that. He was glad, relieved his poisoned tongue didn't cause rupture within her.
She plopped on a near chair and inspected with the equal curiosity of a new born kitten the movements her lover did to achieve a perfectly cut watermelon, contemplating at the same time if she'll ever be able to manage such a thing with the accuracy her beloved did.
It wasn't likely to happen.
Bepo bounced in the end in her lap and her cristaline voice was a melody stored in Law's heart for eternity. If only he could've locked the voice in his mind... in a chest with a key, for the bad working days and for the bad in general. She was driving him crazy and the worst of it all was she had no idea.
She sat down on the floor of the dining room, where the light shone as bright as her, and fooled around with the little one, making Bepo jump by moving fingers after fingers. It reminded Law of his heart whenever she was near him, or when a smile curled on her face just because she'd seen him in her sockets.
She was truly his.
He settled the cut-like pyramid fruit on a plate, numbered six, and walked in the doorless room, where she stood with legs spread widely on the floor. Bepo greeted him as he walked in, and by the man's own guess, his tail wagged at the sight of red fruit.
He, at his turn dropped lazily on the colored carpet, beside her, and placed the plate on one of his hip. Making sure like that, the little monster won't try and steal food.
She grinned, a few of her white crooked teeth showing and suddenly his imagination flew to a bouncing Bepo in a red room, the thumps of his heart loudly annoucing their stay in the hotel of his ears.
She gave him a peck on the cheek and began munching on the food, paying attention to the little being with now big black eyes staring the plate down like it was some sort of antique god, waving his tail now and then. Law observed her slightly eyebrows curling and cheeks puffing in sadness.
She felt guilty.
After they finished their healthy breakfast, he went back to cleaning the dish while she was sprawled in the same place, playing with the little dog.
She cupped his fluffy cheeks in her hands, Bepo reacting with a lick, and brought him closer to her face.
Her head directed to where Law was.
''Can't he eat watermelon too?'' she asked. Law reluctanly considered it for a moment, and in the end, lightly shook his head.
''The seeds could cause an intestinal blockage...'' her eyes sparkled when he turned around sighing, ''I guess, I'll take my time cleaning it up of seeds and he will be able to eat it without any discomfort.''
Every attempt he made, or more exactly tried to make, of turning her down was futile.
Bepo woofed loudly, and for a moment it crossed the girl's mind he understood every word the surgeon said. The little puppy waved his tail like crazy and began running circles around her.
She chuckled.
''You heard him!'' she exclaimed happily.
There was a silent moment where Bepo's huffing and wagging tail was the only audible sound. But suddenly, the small tapping of feet storming inside the cuisine could be heard, and she curled her arms around his waist, embracing him from behind with rosy cheeks and a goofy grin.
Law's blood seemed to pump faster to the heart, and the beating of his irking organ wouldn't simply fade from the role of a background melody. To hell if it helped when she locked lips with him.
It was, probably, the first time she, brave enough, made the first step. This time he wouldn't let her escape and instead, cupped her cheeks gently with his hands and kissed her again with an overhelming passion she couldn't resist but melt in. Law's kisses turned rough and long lasting at some point.
She knew it would leave small bruises later the day, but she couldn't push him away. She enjoyed it every time that Law, unconsciously marked his territory. His way of saying ''Fuck off, she's taken.'' in case anyone would ever dare approach her with that kind of romantic intent.
They stayed doing that for a while...
Until Bepo woofed loudly.

If this felt boring to read, I'm sorry. I guess it's because I'm pretty much bored nowadays. Hell, I miss school and learning materials I'll never need hahah. Also, I feel this is too cheesy, and sickeningly romantic, I dunno. I wrote it while listening to Iron and Wine. My taste in music is old...
I apologize for this not being at the second person D: I'm trying new styles of writing :D
Boy, ain't I apologizing too much!
