It's cold. It's dark. You can't see. The whole world disappears from your view and you find yourself sinking into the ocean. Your (e/c) eyes widen. The only thing you can barely hear is a dark laugh. Something moves in the water, making you look around. It's so hard to recognize it but then your eyes widen. You see it.

A white shark with his mouth open runs in your direction. Blood.

You wake up screaming.

''This again.'' you freeze and take a deep breath.

You watch around the room feeling something, someone, a presence. Was it your imagination? Maybe the shock was too much.

'' ... Am I going crazy? '' you mutter.

''Maybe...'' a voice chuckled.

You heard it. A voice.

But there's no one in here!  you thought.

You ignore it. There's no way someone could be in here. It'd be too...foolish to even think at this as a possibility.

The alarm has started to ring, filling the background with an irritating sound for your ears. You have to get up. It's school time.

You pressed the button turning off the alarm.

Another day.

Every time you woke up you felt like crying. You didn't want to leave your bed but you didn't want to sleep as well. The only dream you've been having was a terrible nightmare. But worst than the nightmare was the constant bullying people gave you inside that huge cage called school.

You had friends indeed, but they weren't going to your school.

You got up, dressed and before leaving the house you looked back. You wanted to see something. Anything that could bring you more happiness than your ordinary life. That moment you wished the voice you thought you heard last night wasn't a dream.

''There's no way that would happen...Everything I do is dreaming, like a little kid...'' you said as you closed your eyes.

''Is that so?''

Again. You heard him. A male.

''What the...I am going crazy!'' you shouted.

''Maybe.'' he replied teasingly, again.

There was no one in your room. Just a vague presence you could feel. You got out of the house scared. 'Perfect! I should go visit the hospital, maybe a therapist or something!' you mentally scolded yourself.

When you reached the school you hesitated a second, standing in front of the door. You bit your lower lip begging for that boy not to be in there and taking your heart in your hands, you stormed in. 

Of course, when you got in...

He was there.

''Oh look who's here, guys!'' the redhead laughed, looking at you.

''The girl who likes you, is that her, Kidd?'' one of the classmates asked amused.

''Of course she's that one! She confessed to him about a month ago, it was sooo cute!'' another one said looking at her with a smirk.

You wanted to go home, everyone was still annoying you with that.

Yes, you liked Kidd, until he started to spread the fact that you confessed to him. Now everything you felt about him was pure hatred. Look at him, laughing and smiling at you right there. Bad mouthing you with his friends! He was indeed, a bully for what he's done to you, but something in your head couldn't hate him as much as you wanted to. Oh, if possible, you'd love to hit him with a brick, repeatedly.

''Ohh, I didn't think you could actually feel something like this for a person who did such things to you. You're really an interesting dumb human aren't you?'' a voice whispered making you jump out of your seat.

Everyone started to laugh. Enough!  you told yourself as you grabbed your bag and left to the washroom.

You've just come and the first hour didn't even start but you were already full of it. You felt like crying, you wanted to stop the tears. Cry home you baby!  you thought as you went inside the washroom and locked the door.

''I have to relax...relax (f/n). I can do it...I have to...''

Your words didn't seem to work. Damn stupid brain for not cooperating!

''Why?'' the voice asked curiously.''If it hurts so much why don't you just do something about it, you crybaby? Tears won't help you, they're useless.''

Behind you, a human form appeared. A boy almost your age but taller was looking into your eyes. His eyes were anything but human. Your knees were about to give in at his cold glare. 

''What are you?'' your voice whispered while turning to him.

''Who knows?'' he smirked and made a few steps.

He was now standing in front of you.

''Am I crazy?'' you asked confused.''Am I dreaming? Who the hell are you?''

''Maybe you are. I'm Law, are you going to c--''

''Stop this! Now! You're in my head! You are-''

''Law.'' he answered.''Oh,  I don't like to be ordered around, so I won't do as you please...ever.''

His voice was smooth, calm and relaxed. It made you feel better but there was something wrong. He was your imagination or something weird like an ilussion that your mind made up. He couldn't be real. Those things were impossible!

''I'm not an ilussion if that's what you think. I am real.'' he said looking down at you. His height was really...incredible.

''Then how it comes only I can hear and see you?''

''Who knows...'' he replied with a smirk. ''Maybe this is our destiny...''

''Stop this. Get outta my head. Now!'' you ordered him, yelling.

Law sighed.

''I don't like your tone, I told you not t--''

You turned back opening the door and slamming it. If I'm going to talk to myself I could as well search for an asylum. Cause that's the place I'll spend my whole life if I keep talking to that ...illusion!

''Slow down, human.''  he ordered, following after you.

You were almost at the exit but you bumped into a person, falling on the floor.

It's him.

''Oh, look Kid! It's (l/n) , maybe she's here to confess again!'' one of your classmates said with a cheery voice. An annoying cheery voice.

Two boys behind him started to laugh. The red head just looked down, he wanted to give you a hand but you slapped it away, giving him a cold glare in return.

Law remained a few steps behind you with a bored expression on his face.

''C'mon Eustass, let's head back to the class!'' one of the boys said walking away.

Kidd gave them a nod following them. I'm tired. I'm so tired of this. I want to tell him...'you thought, clenching your fists and looking down.

Law smirked, opening his mouth, oh, his smirking face was everything but human. It resembled Cheshire cat's.

''Are you really that weak, human?'' he muttered under his breath. You heard him, clearly. Maybe you've been waiting for it, for an impulse.

''Kid!'' you shouted.

He turned to you. You rose up from the floor and faced him.

''I...really really liked you! I thought you were different... but seems I was wrong.'' you smiled at him making the boy widen his eyes.

You turned and left. Kid just stood there, watching as you left. He couldn't move, he was really surprised.

''Your name's Law, right?'' you asked walking on the silent streets of your boring city.

You didn't whisper because no one was around you right now. It was raining. You looked up at the sky smiling brightly.

''Yes.'' he replied, walking beside you.

''I'm (f/n).'' you said, still looking at the cloudy sky. ''What are you, Law?''

''Are you some weird creature with a human face or a demon or some weird angel?'' you asked not letting him time to answer. Or my very own creation my brain made?

He chuckled. A faint chuckle.

''Bingo.''

''You're an angel?'' you looked at him with your eyes glowing with hope.

''Do I look like an angel to you?''

''No...'' you muttered. ''But...thanks anyway.''

He nodded in response.

''I bet you're coming from hell. So you're a demon.'' you said as you gazed at the sky above you.

''What's piqued your interest so much that you must watch up?'' he asked with a tilt of his head.

''Who knows...'' you replied with a bored voice fixing him with your eyes.''Are you going to follow me forever?''

''Who knows. Depends on how boring you get in time.'' he replied smirking, making you click your tongue, irritated. "This conversation's getting nowhere...isn't it?"

"Yeah."

Your life has changed since that day. Even if you were the single one who could hear him, Law changed your whole life.

Someone has finally jumped into the water and came to rescue you from that shark and suddenly, your nightmare transformed into a dream. A beautiful one you wouldn't want to ever wake up from.
