Chapter 21
"I heard the mission was a success." Tony said as he approached them back at SHIELD headquarters. "Rumours has it, Black Widow saved the day. Huh?" He said as he jokingly hit Natasha in the side. Natasha gasped a bit and bit her lower lip to conceal her moan. Steve noticed her reaction and frowned. "Don't believe everything you hear, Stark." She said, staring at him. "Oh I don't." He said, grinning. Steve just looked at him as they all went quiet. "Well, I guess I'm needed somewhere." Tony said as his phone started buzzing. He answered and walked away from them. Steve and Natasha began walking out of SHIELD headquarters as Steve turned to Natasha.
"How's your stomach?" Steve asked and Natasha looked up at him. "Well, I'm a bit hungry. Do you want to order a pizza or something?" She asked and he smiled. That wasn't what he meant but he could need something to eat as well. "That'd be nice." He said instead as they got into Natasha's car. She gave him a slight smirk before they drove away.
They ordered a pizza to Natasha's apartment and sat down by the Tv. "What will happen next?" Steve asked as he put down the pizza on the living room table.
"We'll question that Keith guy." She simply said, as her eyes watched the pizza in front of her. Steve grunted a bit as he heard Keith's name. Natasha took a slice as Steve sat down beside her. "He's not going to spill anything." He said and Natasha chuckled a bit.
"Well, it might be a little bit harder since you broke his face." She said and Steve smiled slightly. He thought back at the moment and at the rage in his body as he saw that guy aim punch after punch at Natasha. "He'll talk." Natasha said as she took another bite of her pizza slice. Steve looked at her, not understanding how she could be so sure. "He will. Now eat." She said as she finished her slice. "I feel like punching him again." Steve said honestly and Natasha looked at him with raised eyebrows. "I think you already did that. A couple of times." She said and he shook his head.
"That bastard hurt you." He said and now it was her time to shook her head. "Steve, I'm fine." She said, trying to assure him that there was nothing to worry about. When he didn't look convinced, she grabbed his shirt and dragged him in for a kiss. It was longer than the last one they had shared and Steve dragged her closer. He kissed her more passionately as he put her down beneath him on the couch. She dragged down his face towards hers and met his lips. His hands slipped down to her waist and before she could react, he dragged up her shirt over her ribs. Steve looked down at the stomach and sighed at the sight of a big blue and black bruise on her entire side, up to her ribs. "Steve." Natasha whispered as she tried to drag down her shirt again. She cupped his face with her hands and locked her lips onto his. "I'm okay." She assured him again. He broke her kisses and bent down to drag up her shirt again. He had his hands on her waist as he gave small soft kisses on the bruise, not leaving a bit of her stomach unkissed. He gently touched her bruised stomach, letting his fingers run over her skin between the kisses.
Natasha looked at him with a smile on her lips. Every touch and kiss from him made her melt. It felt so simply but so special. She couldn't help it but to enjoy his worried face and his hands, touching her stomach so gently she shivered. His lips pressed against her bruised stomach and a warmth spread in her body. Steve still had the same look on his face, a mix of anger and sadness. Natasha cupped his cheeks and dragged his face closer to her own.
"Listen to me." She said, kissing his lips slowly. "I'm okay." She said before turning him around, ending up with him beneath her on the couch. She kissed him passionately for a few minutes as Steve accepted every kiss eagerly. Natasha got lost when he was so close. His lips looked so inviting and she couldn't help but to press herself closer to him. It was all so new but so so good. She smirked a bit as she kissed him again before putting on a serious expression on her face. "Why are you so worried anyway, Rogers?" She asked as she pulled away from him a bit to look into his eyes. Steve raised his eyebrows a bit and opened his mouth slightly. She felt his quick breaths on her face from their passionate kisses a few seconds before. "Ehm.. Well, I.." He stuttered. She frowned a bit as she looked at his face. The question was meant just as a tease but when he couldn't get any words out, she tensed. Why was he so worried? He knew she could handle everything on her own. Like she always had. A big pair of arms suddenly wrapped around her back and she was pressed down to his chest. "Because I care about you." He whispered in her ear before starting planting kisses on her neck. She caught herself smiling brightly at his words while grabbing the folds of his shirt, dragging it off. "Well.." Natasha said. "I care about you too." She said and received a deep kiss as an answer.
"Natasha?" He asked as his eyes fluttered open, hoping with all his heart that she hadn't left him that morning as well. But as soon as his eyes opened, he realised she was still there. Natasha laid on her stomach as her red hair spread across the white pillow, hiding her face. The cover stopped at her waist, reviling her bare back. Steve sighed as she looked at her. He had never woken up to a more beautiful sight. He carefully put some of her hair behind her ear so he could see her face. He smiled as he saw her closed eyes and peaceful expression. She looked as innocent as a little child. She suddenly started moving a little bit and her eyes fluttered a little bit open before closing again. "Good morning." Steve said, moving a little closer to her and kissed her lips. Her eyes remained closed but she gave him one kiss back before laying back on her pillow. Steve chuckled a bit that Natasha met with a small groan. "What's so funny?" She mumbled. "I really thought you were a morning person." He said, smiling as Natasha scoffed. "Why would someone ever wanna wake up in the morning when the bed is extremely comfortable?" She mumbled. "It doesn't make sense." Natasha slowly opened her eyes just to see Steve smile at her. She buried her face in the pillow to not let him see her smile, or the way she blushed. "I think it's kind of nice to wake up when you're here." Steve said. His arms wrapped around her body and she was pressed close to him. She pressed light kisses on his chest and his neck. "That's true.." Natasha said, pressing herself closer to him. "But let's sleep a few more minutes.." She claimed and earned a soft chuckle from Steve. "Whatever you want." He said, kissing her head.
