Manik and Nandini had caught up in the heat of the moment and had given in to their desires. Their lips were pressed on to each other's. They were hungry to taste each other. Only now they had realised how much they wanted each other.

Nandini opened her mouth a little to let Manik explore her mouth. Manik inserted his tongue in her mouth and started kissing her passionately. Nandini moaned in pleasure and that turned on Manik. The passion was growing between them and they didn't care about their surroundings and the people around them.

Karan was visibly happy with their reunion. He had never seen Manik with so much emotion. He was adoring them as he saw one of his officers enter the room. He was going to warn him about Gaurav but before he could take any action, Gaurav grabbed the pistol from him. Karan was alert now. He didn't need to think twice before he made a move towards Gaurav to take back his gun. Gaurav had his gun pointed at Karan and his fingers were at the trigger. He was going to shoot him but fortunately Karan pushed him and the bullet hit the bed at the end to which Nandini was tied up a few moments ago. Gaurav growled looking at Karan and pointed the gun at him again. Karan made a move towards him again but he wasn't quick enough. In the struggle to push him again, Karan got shot on his left leg, just above the ankle.
Karan growled in pain as he lost his balance and fell to the ground holding his leg. Gaurav looked at Manik and Nandini. He didn't like their proximity. Manik and Nandini were shocked to see Karan getting shot. Manik was frozen at his spot. He didn't know what to do.

Gaurav had his gun pointed towards Manik and Nandini and he looked around. By this time, a lot of police officers had entered the room. The officers had put their guns down so that Gaurav wouldn't take any step ahead.

'Out. All of you. Or else I'll shoot both of them.' Gaurav growled to everyone present in that room other than Manik, Nandini and Karan.

Karan was pretty sure that Gaurav wouldn't hesitate to shoot any of them. Seeing him in that psychic way forced him to gesture the officers to get out of the room. They obliged after hesitating.

Gaurav went to one corner of the room and took a long and thick rope from there while he had the gun still pointed at them. He growled at Karan to go and sit near the bed. Karan was forced to obey him. Once he did, Gaurav started tying Karan's hands and legs to the bed. Karan couldn't act against him because he knew if he did, he would be risking both Manik and Nandini's life. He couldn't afford to do that. So he just obeyed whatever Gaurav was saying.

Nandini was scared of the moon. She had never seen Manik so vulnerable. She had never seen a real gun in her life too and there was blood everywhere. She was feeling nauseous because of her surroundings. It was nothing like she had experienced before. This night was seeming longer than all the days she had been in that place. Manik looked at her. His eyes were speaking a lot of things but her mind wasn't in the right place to understand him. She was totally freaked out and worn out.

Manik, on the other hand, was equally freaked out as Nandini was but he couldn't show it to her because he had to look strong in front of her. Only that would give Nandini hope. Hope that they'll get past through this.
Memories from the past played in both Manik and Nandini's mind. They remembered the times when they were together. They still had some sort of connection and it was a strong one. Manik and Nandini were equally hurt by their past but the truth was that none of them were to be blamed for it. They had their own reasons to hate each other but they couldn't deny the fact that they loved each other too.

When Nandini had seen Manik enter the room that night, a spark of hope had ignited in her. He looked no more than a superhero to her but now that hope was blown off. She felt that this was her last night. She felt that the end was near. But she was ready for death if she was with Manik. She was happy to be in the proximity of him.
Gaurav clearly wasn't liking their proximity.

'You two, get away from each other.' Gaurav shouted at them.
Manik saw the fear in Nandini's eyes as soon as Gaurav said those words. At that moment, Manik made a vow to himself that he would protect her, no matter what. He placed his palms on Nandini's face and gave her a reassuring smile.

Karan was struggling to free himself and Gaurav saw that Karan could free himself. He started tying him all over again.
Manik told Nandini to run away from there. He assured that he would take care of that situation but Nandini wasn't ready to leave Manik alone there. Meanwhile, Nandini saw Gaurav pointing his gun at Manik while his other hand was struggling with the rope. Nandini became alerted at that moment. She knew Gaurav could hurt him.
Manik saw the fear in Nandini's eyes. He looked at what Nandini was looking at. He was equally terrified too. Manik knew that they had to make a move to protect themselves.

Gaurav was again busy with tying up Karan. Manik and Nandini took the opportunity to run away from there. Manik looked into her eyes and they told her that they were going to run.
Karan, on the other hand, observed that Manik and Nandini were going to run. He had picked up a gun from the floor, next to him and Gaurav hadn't noticed it. He was too busy in tying up Karan.

Gaurav suddenly saw what Karan was going to do. He tried to push him. Karan had pulled the trigger by then and it hit the drum behind Gaurav. Manik and Nandini had run out of the room by then and that's when they heard a blast.
