The monster had taken down the door with it when it entered the room. We sprinted out the door avoiding any monster we saw. "We need to get away from it. You've been around the facilities, have you seen any good places to hide?" I thought for a moment, trying to remember.

"No, I can't remember." I said, slightly depressed. My mind had so many ideas rushing through my head. We could find a closet, but the closet probably wouldn't open easily. Plus, the monster would easily take down the door to the closet, we would be dead as soon as we stepped in. The monster would get to us, and we'd be trapped. We sprinted through the empty hallways, trying to find some area to go.

"Colt! I think I found a place," Tiffany told me. She sounded so unconfident, but I had to try.

"Where is it?"

"Follow me."

We sprinted through the hallways and reached an empty courtyard, clean, with no monsters. "This is the east side of the facility. The merge occured in a lab nearby. It seems no monsters are here." I looked around, unsure of where exactly we were.

"Then how did the monsters get farther in the facility?" I asked, knowing how stupid I sounded.

"They entered through the other halls. This is all one big building. You can travel either in-doors, where there are many, many monsters, or travel through the outside, which can be a bit safer." I looked at the blue, ominous building.

"So the merge happened in there, I guess. Let's be safe when we enter." I took a step towards the building. She grabbed my arm and shook her head. "Oh right, the monster is in there probably waiting for us. Then how do we get in?"

"The monsters can't operate doors, except for that one that attacked us." She said.

"Wait, if it can..." I said, interrupted by the door getting broken down. "Run!" We sprinted away, but we had gotten separated. Though we were still in the same courtyard, we were getting tired, but the monster didn't rest. It chased after me, unable to reach. I was a bit faster than it. "Is there anything it can't pass?" I yelled to Tiffany.

"Ladders, but that's all I know about. Colt, look to the left, there's a ladder there! If we're fast enough, we can climb it away from the monster!" I saw it, and I sprinted around, getting farther away. I ran and climbed up the ladder. "We're safe now." We ducked down, so it couldn't see us.

"Let's lay low for a bit. They can't get to us now."
